Chapter 5 Morning of sadness

Juliet cried for three hours but still, her tears refused to leave her. Maria decided that she would help this broken girl to heal

"My sweetheart, tell me if you need help to get rid of this dress," Maria said in a soft voice and Juliet raised her head and looked at her

Juliet made a soft chuckle of pain remembering that tonight was her wedding night but all her dreams shattered in front of her.

Her best friend and her husband betrayed her on the wedding night.

"Do you know that everyone wears white gowns at weddings but I wore this blue gown because this is Xavier's favourite colour but look how unlucky I am that he didn't even look in my direction?" Juliet said and her heart again pained with the thought that her life crumbled in front of her.

Maria couldn't do anything other than feel sorry for this girl. Love was evident in Juliet's eyes then why Xavier couldn't see it

Juliet sat on the bed with the crumbled pieces of her life, Maria sighed deeply and stood on the back of Juliet and helped her to get rid of the dress.

Maria held Juliet's shoulder and made her stand on her feet. Juliet was like a robot so it didn't take much time to take off the dress.

Soon the blue wedding gown fell on her feet and Juliet stepped out of it. Maria opened the suitcase of Juliet and take out a simple brown gown.

She made Juliet wear the dress and Juliet's eyes fall on the mirror in front of her.

"Am I not beautiful?" Juliet asked Maria but her eyes trained on her image represented in the mirror

"Sweetie, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, there is something special in you," Maria said with admiration in her eyes.

Juliet created a special place in Maria's heart at one sight and Maria also sympathized with her due to the torment she faced on her wedding night.

"Then why does Xavier hates me and loves Kathy," Juliet said with frustration and pain in her eyes.

"Mrs Juliet, I think you need to sleep," Maria said because she had no answer to Juliet's question.

"You can go," Juliet said because she understood that she was bothering this poor lady with her pain.

"If you need anything then just call my name and sleep tight," Maria said with motherly concern and left Juliet alone to cope with her pain.

But what Maria could do because she was just a maid in Xavier's house.

Juliet open the window and sat near the edge of it and look at the dark sky.

Her life had some darkness as the sky. She dreamt of happy married life but whenever she closed her eyes, the image of Xavier with Kathy appear in front of her eyes

Juliet didn't know what to do with her life because she never thought of anything other than marrying Xavier.

Juliet felt stupid that whole time Kathy was with Xavier but Juliet didn't find out.

Kathy knew all about Juliet's love for Xavier but still, she chose to betray her.

Juliet leaned back and thought that there was no ray of hope in her life because the hatred in Xavier's eyes proved that Juliet could never win him.

Juliet felt stupid to think that a commoner like her could win Xavier's heart which was already taken by Kathy.

Aren't you enjoying the luxury here?

Juliet woke up with sour eyes and the events of yesterday roaming in her head that how yesterday was the happiest and saddest day of her life at the same time.

She was happy to become Mrs. knight but got the biggest shock of her life when she found out that her husband hates her and had an affair with her friend.

Juliet didn't know what to do, she couldn't go to her mother's house because she was already ill and Juliet didn't want to involve her in her problems.

Juliet gets out of bed and straight went to the bathroom.

She took a long bath and kept on thinking about Xavier and Kathy.

What made Juliet wonder that if Xavier loves Kathy then why did he agree to marry her.

Whenever Juliet thinks about the cosiness of Xavier and Kathy, her heart is pained.

Juliet cried in the shower and she didn't know what to do with her life anymore. Last night Xavier was clear that he didn't want Juliet in her life.

But Juliet didn't know how to live with the man who she loved with all her heart, Xavier was her childhood love.

Juliet loved Xavier who had no idea about it and she could do anything for the happiness of Xavier so she decided that she would ask for a divorce because for Juliet Xavier and his happiness are the only ones that mattered.

Juliet get out of the shower and wore a pink top paired with black pants.

She looked at herself in the mirror and no one could say that she was a newly wedded bride.

Juliet tied her hair in a tight ponytail and apply a little bit of concealer to hide her dark circles.

She made herself strong and get out of the room, Juliet looked around the mansion and she chuckled in pain because she used to think that one day she would be the queen but the reality hit her hard because she was no one in eyes of Xavier in this mansion.

Juliet advance her steps and descended the stairs and found Xavier and Kathy having their breakfast. Tears threatened to spill from Juliet's eyes because it hurts her to see Xavier and Kathy together.

It was hard for Juliet to initiate a talk with Xavier because they both never actually talked

Juliet stood at her spot and looked at the Xavier who was looking graceful in his navy blue suit and every moment of him was grateful.

Juliet always thought that after the wedding, she would daily cook food for Xavier and for that she learnt how to cook all the favourite food of Xavier but she didn't know that life was cruel and had different plans for her

Juliet was so lost in her dreamland of Xavier that she didn't notice that a pair of evil eyes are looking at her.

"Look what we have? The new bride Juliet" Kathy said in a humorous way to insult Juliet and hearing her voice Juliet got startled and come back to reality.

Juliet hung her head low at the insult and it was hard for her to believe that her best friend now turned into another woman in Juliet's life.

"Juliet, come sit with us. Why are you standing there" Kathy said in a sweet voice that no one could tell that she hates Juliet.
