Chapter 1 Wife of Xavier knight

"Do you Juliet Gracia, take Xavier knight as your husband"

The highest order priest asked Juliet who was the happiest girl in the whole world because she was getting married to the man who she loved all her life.

Juliet raised her head and looked at Xavier who was looking so dashing in a black tuxedo and a butterfly erupted in Juliet's heart that this handsome man was soon going to be his husband.

"I do," Juliet said with a blush on her face and she raised her eyes and looked at Xavier who had no expression on his face.

Everyone wear a white gown for their wedding but Juliet wore a gown of blue colour because that was Xavier's favourite colour and she only wanted Xavier to glance at her with adoration in his eyes.

But Xavier was looking at her with a bored expression like the presence of Juliet didn't matter to him.

Xavier was a billionaire and people knew him as a ruthless and cunning businessman but Juliet was sure that she would make Xavier fall for her. He only wanted to end this stupid marriage thing as soon as possible.

"Do you Xavier knight accept Juliet Gracia as your legally wedded wife" the priest announced.

"I do," Xavier said in his robotic tone and his face void of any emotion.

Xavier hated this girl who stood in front of her in the blue wedding dress. He would never marry a girl like her if his mom didn't force her. Xavier only married Juliet to get the inheritance of properties from his mother's side.

Xavier was a money-minded businessman and he would never leave such big opportunity to gain wealth from this sham marriage.

But poor Juliet was unaware of all the planning and plotting done behind her back because she was so lost in her own dreamland.

"I now pronounced you as husband and wife and you may now kiss the bride," the priest said and the heartbeat of Juliet started to beat rapidly.

Xavier looked at Juliet in a disgusted manner and he was not going to kiss her in this lifestyle, this marriage was nothing but a sham marriage for Xavier and this was the reason that nobody was invited to this wedding.

Because Xavier didn't want anyone to know that he married a commoner.

On the other hand, Juliet's happiness had no boundation because she got married to the man she loved for years.

Finally, the day that she waited for 22 years was in front of her. She closed her eyes because she wanted to feel the first kiss of her life.

Xavier looked at the closed eyes of Juliet who was waiting for him to kiss him but Xavier chuckled internally because he would never kiss a girl like Juliet.

Juliet was a beautiful girl but in eyes of Xavier she was his forced bride and this marriage was nothing but his way of getting all the inheritance under his name.

Xavier took a step back and turned around to leave the altar, everyone was shocked to see the behaviour of Xavier but nobody dared to say anything to him because everyone knew the reality of marriage apart from innocent Juliet who had numerous dreams in her eyes.

Juliet waited and waited for the kiss but it never happened. She opened her eyes slowly but Xavier wasn't present in front of her.

She looked around and found only her mother and Xavier's parents. It was close-knitted handed private marriage, no paparazzi were invited and not a single soul apart from want Juliet and Xavier knows about this marriage.

Juliet wanted to invite her friends to let them know that she married the hottest billionaire but Xavier wanted private marriage and Juliet wouldn't do anything to upset him.

"I am done with this drama," Xavier's father john knight said with a straight face like the marriage of his son was not an important event for him.

John was least interested in Xavier's life and he wanted to leave as soon as possible. John was present in the ceremony only for the namesake. John was a selfish man who cared about money and nothing else

Juliet knew that John didn't like her because her family was not rich as theirs and the marriage between Juliet and Xavier only happened because Lilian and Georgia were best friends.

"Juliet let's go home," her mother-in-law said Lilian said and Juliet felt humiliated that Xavier left her at the altar and nobody said anything to him.

Juliet didn't say anything but followed Lilian.

"From today, your new life is going to start so be strong" Juliet's mother Georgia said with a sad face but whatever she did, she did it for the happiness and future of Juliet.

Juliet was unable to understand the sadness behind her mother's words.

"I will miss you mom and get well soon," Juliet said to her mother who was in the third stage of cancer. Tonight Georgia was going to fly to Europe for her treatment. Juliet and Georgia hugged each other for the last time

"Lilian, now my daughter is yours take care of her" Georgia said to her best friend Lilian who put a hand on her shoulder.

Juliet was so confused about Xavier's behaviour that he left her without saying a word but still, she wanted to see her husband with whom she dreamt of spending the rest of her life.

Georgia went her own way after looking at her daughter with an unknown expression but didn't say a word to her.

Juliet sat in the brand new black Porsche with Lilian and the journey of her new life started.

Within half an hour, the car stopped at the knight's mansion which was beautiful and luxurious.

Juliet still remembered that when she was a child, she used to come to this mansion only to have a look at Xavier who never acknowledged her but when Xavier left for abroad she didn't enter this house.

And now she became Xavier's bride and this was her mansion.

"Juliet, from now on this is your house. I and john leave in a separate mansion but you can come to me any time" Lilian said putting her hand on Juliet's nervous hand

Juliet was sweating that Xavier and her would be alone in this whole mansion.

Lilian sensed the nervousness of Juliet and she smiled at her

"My child, Maria is there to help you and congratulations on becoming Juliet's knight," Lilian said with a smile on her face for some unknown reason, Juliet feels that something is not right but she didn't say anything.

She smiled at Lilian and gets out of the car and looked at the mansion that was going to be her home.
