Chapter 7 Who Xavier really loves

Xavier step out of the mansion in anger and hated double-faced people like Juliet.

When Xavier left Juliet looked at Kathy with tears in her eyes. Kathy only laughed because Juliet was so stupid that she didn't say a single word in her defence

"Why did you lie Kathy," Juliet asked because she was only afraid of Xavier but she was not afraid of Kathy.

"What did I do, you didn't deny the accusation put on you then what could I do," Kathy said like she didn't do anything and she made it like it was Juliet who was at fault.

Juliet was so pure to understand the plotting behind her back.

"Why didn't you tell me that you love Xavier," Juliet asked her because Kathy indeed made fun of Juliet's feelings.

"Because Xavier likes to keep our relationship private and moreover you and I both know that Xavier is out of your reach. I still don't mind that you love Xavier because it doesn't matter who you love because what matters is who Xavier loves" Kathy said in an arrogant tone and flipped her hair that was on her shoulder.

Juliet shakes her head because she made the wrong friend.

"I thought you were my friend, you know my feelings about Xavier but still you do this to me and I shared my everything with you about how much Xavier meant to me but you destroyed everything, you malign my image in the front of Xavier and you snatch my husband from me" Juliet expressed her love and there was so much pain in her heart that she found it difficult to breathe.

Kathy started to laugh as if Juliet cracked some joke. She made a mockery of Juliet's love and trust.

"Love comes before friends and I didn't snatch your husband but you snatch my lover but don't worry soon I will become Mrs.knight and you will rot in hell," Kathy said with determination in her eyes.

Kathy decided that until Juliet was there she would make her life a living hell. Every day she would humiliate Juliet and break her inside and outside.

Juliet was looking at Kathy and she thought that indeed she was the stupidest girl in this whole world and that she couldn't understand the real intention of people.

Juliet was so puzzled in her life that she didn't know what turns her life was going to turn and how much more humiliation she had to face in Xavier's mansion.

"Would you have left loving Xavier if I told you earlier that Xavier and I love each other" Kathy asked Juliet because she wanted to know the depth of Juliet's love for Xavier?

Juliet was surprised by the sudden question of Kathy but took a deep sigh and look directly into the eyes of Kathy:

"It's not in my hands to stop loving Xavier but I would never marry Xavier if I know about you two," Juliet said with a pure heart and she wasn't lying because her love means sacrifice.

And Xavier means love for her.

"Are you really stupid or are you trying to make me stupid?" Kathy said with a chuckle and Juliet shook her head that how can she be friends with this mean girl.

"You love Xavier and you will never leave him for anyone, you asked for his divorce only because you wanted his attention," Kathy said to Juliet with all the hatred in her heart.

It was true that Juliet always wanted Xavier's attention which she never got but she would never stoop low to get his attention

"I have been your friend for years but still you couldn't understand my depth of love for Xavier, I am ready to leave him for his happiness but why he is not divorcing me when he loves you," Juliet asked with a question in her eyes because unaware about the deal between the Xavier and his mother

Kathy smirked at her and not in this world she was going to tell her the real thing because Kathy was afraid that if Juliet got to know about the pregnancy clause then Juliet would try to seduce Xavier to get pregnant and Kathy wouldn't allow this.

"Xavier did a favour for you by marrying. He married you because your mom who was on verge of dying begged him" Kathy said with a cunning expression on her face

And now why the marriage happened was clear to Juliet.

Juliet would never forgive her mom for forcing Xavier into the thing that he didn't want

Juliet was confused that how her life was going to be in this loveless marriage. When the marriage happened she determined that with her love she could win Xavier but now there was no hope in Juliet's heart to win him.

Juliet was shattered and broken

"But don't get your hopes high in this marriage because Xavier is only mine and I would not let him get close to you" Kathy pointed fingers at Juliet because she was still afraid that Juliet's innocence could win Xavier's heart.

Juliet shook her head when she realised that life was no dream but the harsh reality

"I would love to have chat with you but unfortunately I have my successful career ahead of me so your lavish stay here until Xavier throws you out" Kathy mocked Juliet and winked at her.

Kathy turned around and left the mansion without any care in the world that she had broken the heart of the woman who genuinely cared for her.

Juliet looked at her crumbled life and she didn't know what to do anymore with her pathetic and broken life which was full of betrayal.

Juliet turned around to go to her room because she had nowhere to go, she had no family other than her mother who was in a different country getting treatment with Xavier's money.

She was feeling pathetic insult she was still leaving under Xavier's roof but her self respect was already broken just like her dream of having Xavier's love.

While Juliet was going towards her room she noticed Maria who noticed every conversation that has happened between Kathy, Xavier and Juliet.

Juliet was embarrassed because last night Maria witnessed her broken state and consoled her.

Juliet averted her eyes from Maria and continued with her steps keeping her head low

"Mrs. knight, can I set breakfast for you," Maria asked with sympathy in her voice and Juliet halted in her steps

"It's okay Maria, you don't need to call me Mr. knight when you know that I hold no position in Xavier's life and thank you for yesterday" Juliet thanked her smile which was not reaching her eyes.
