Chapter 2 Episode 1

The first ray of sunlight lit up Mara's room covering her eyelids. She blinked feeling lazy to stand up then turn to face the other side of the bed where she sense was free from the sunray.

She murmured out some strange unknown words as she continued enjoying her sleep.

The sudden loud noise she heard had her upset as she jerked up from her bed and then made her way to the window. She sighed out when she saw the intruder that had deprived her of sleeping. It was Reely, a cock that had made it a habit of crowing in her window even though she had tried her best in chasing it away each time, it always find it way back there again.

She shooked her head leaving the innocent creature as she shut her windows back and strode back to continue her sleep after all it was weekend and she had to make it her rest day.

The nausea feeling she felt had her halted from proceeding to her bed. Rather, she rushed to the bathroom instead.

In the bathroom, she emptied all the content that made her stomach upset and then rinsed off her mouth as her breath hitched.

She went back inside her room only to meet Juliet her friend sitting on her bed with her eyes gawking suspiciously at her .

She gently closed the door behind her "Why the look?" Her voice came out hoarsely.

"That's not a proper way of greeting your bestie a 'good morning'" Juliet humphed, stressing out the Good morning.

"You shouldn't have looked at me that way if you had wanted a proper good morning" Mara replied her sarcastically as she rolled her eyes.

After leaving Gerald's house she had left the city and had returned to her Best Friend who had been her childhood friend had had also happened to be her bridesmaids at her wedding day.

Juliet had been so shocked opening the door to meet her in a crying state, her face bruised and when she'd ask of what had happened, she was shocked beyond measure to find out that Gerald of all guys could cheat on her judging on how their love bond had been so tight, she'd threatened to bring him down by splashing it to the press but Mara had strongly kicked against it.

It been two weeks since she left Gerald's holding and since then, she had secured a job where she worked as a part-time nurse in a nearby hospital. She'd had her complete credentials and the complete requirements it takes to work as a full-time but due to lack of inexperience she had to go through being an internship first before she gets promoted and frankly the pay wasn't nice but it was fair enough to pay up some bills. There was no one she'd blame for her lack of inexperience other than Gerald, he had insisted she stopped working immediately after their marriage saying he was suitable enough to foot up their bills and those of their future children, she'd had been so stupid to follow his order without countering on it and now, she had to face the consequences of her foolish action.

While he was in his comfort zone enjoying, there she was struggling to start life afresh, she'd swear with her life that she was going to get revenge at him one day and yes she's going to work so hard till she is able to measure up to his standard.

After her divorce with Gerald, she had been so scared of looking at the papers not with the last time she checked, she had ended up crying all day as she couldn't bear to take off the image of Gerald and the Slut engagement party. She'd sworn that in order not to hurt herself, she wasn't going to be glancing at the papers again.

"What way?" Juliet stare keenly acting daft.

"You know what I'm talking about!"

"I really don't know miss, if you wouldn't mind telling me again" Juliet sets her hands in akimbo as she was all set for Mara to prep her on what she was talking about.

"Suspiciously" Mara mouthed out begrudgingly and then Juliet sprang to her feet as she snapped her fingers.

"Of course that's the word, SUSPICIOUSLY. I mean what other way do you expect me to glance at you if not suspiciously "

"What do you mean, Juliet" Mara rested her back at the bathroom door as she furrowed her brows trying to make out of the meaning of what her friend was hinting on.

"Isn't it to obvious? I mean, the last time I checked no normal human being vomits all the time and you aren't the type that gets irritated easily. So, isn't it fully obvious?"

Mara heart beats at the possibility of what her friend was hinting on, of course, she thus understand what she was saying indirectly but she knew deep down that it can't be true, perhaps it was something she was reacting to which she hadn't find out yet.

"There's nothing obvious....."

"Common, Mara.. last two days you complained to me of migraine and Scotch egg that was your favorite you ditched it aside yesterday saying it upsets your stomach and it's giving you the urge to puke let's not leave the part that your bust is getting Fuller each day, what else is there to check on the possibility?''

"You and I know that there's no possibility that it'd be happening, I mean Gerald and I never had anything intimate for almost a month and half now..."

"Was there anyone then?" Juliet queried as her eyes glared keenly with interest on her friend.

Something flashed across to Mara's head as she gasped her eyes widen. She threw her hand across her mouth as she tried to held to her breath.

Juliet heart sank heavily as she saw her friend reaction, her heart beat loudly for the unexpected news she'd be hearing, God help her she'd be able to contain it.

"Spill Mara" she folded her hand across her chest.
