Chapter 9 AM HERE FOR THE PRINCE

CHAPTER NINE: AM HERE FOR THE PRINCE

"No... actually am not leaving. Can I meet the prince?"

"What?"

"Am here for the prince."

"But miss... the prince didn't tell anyone he had an appointment!" Cruz was surprised. For years since he became Prince Declan's personal guard, no lady had ever met him anywhere in person, leave alone here in the palace.

"Am the sister to an advocate of peace, why would you deny me an appointment to the prince?" Haley asked.

"We go according to the order." Cruz said politely.

"If you're not telling me where he is, am following around this palace."

And that is how Cruz and Haley ascended the stairs together with Cruz panicking and surprised at the same time while Haley looked as serious as ever.

Soon, the two stood at the study room of Declan. For sure, Cruz didn't want to knock. He simply didn't know how he will explain to the prince about this lady who decided to follow him here.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Haley's slender fingers rested on the door as she leaned on the frame. There was a small sound which Haley didn't hear but to Cruz, it was an acceptance that however was outside can now come in. with a trembling body, Cruz stepped in followed by Haley who stood side by side with him.

Declan, who had his eyes fixed on the computer didn't look up at first.

"What took you so long Cruz?" he asked without looking up.

"Umm... it's..."

The hesitation made Declan look up and came to face with a girl he had never seen. Surprised and shocked at the same time, he looked up at Cruz who looked down.

Since long, Declan was never close to any girl. He didn't have a sister either. When he received a friend request from on Haley Jenna, it lit a kind of desire he didn't know. But he also didn't know the girl opposite her was the same Jenna.

"Excuse us please." When Declan hesitated, Haley turned to Cruz and said.

Slowing, Cruz place everything in its place and looked up at Declan for the net order. He wouldn't move out without the prince's order. But Declan said nothing. Just stared at the girl, then back at Cruz, the computer screen as the circle repeated itself.

And there was Haley, looking impatient as she waited for Cruz to move out.

"Well, isn't she a sister to the advocate of peace Cher? They will advocate peace between them and good heavens Cher is here. If everything goes bad, she should advocate peace for me. I can't stand this tension." Cruz thought inwardly before turning back and walking out.

"Umm... good morning my prince," Haley gathered courage and bowed. She had never done this to any an but she couldn't hold back her interest. I better die getting rejected than die not trying right? She asked herself inwardly. Declan didn't reply and was even surprised when she didn't get angry. Instead, she pulled a chair and sat down.

"Am sorry for intruding your privacy prince Declan. Am Haley Jenna." She said before curving her mouth into that sexy smile.

And that name took Declan somewhere else, his phone. The friend request was from Haley Jenna. It was the same girl seated opposite him. Declan half closed his eyes.

"Why are you here?" he asked in a bit softer tone but maintained his serious face.

"Umm... am here with my sister Cher Lucille." Haley said.

"Why don't you wait for her outside. Am busy now." Declan said.

"But... I wanted to talk to you, that's why am here." Haley said.

"Wrong timing." With that, he focused his attention back on the computer.

Haley would have thrown a tantrum but no, she couldn't. she simply smiled, thanked him for his time and walked out. Who knew she would break down just outside the door? Who knew Declan was pacing his study room as he listened to the silent sobs outside?

HELION

Kevian had taken Morel in the garden field for a walk. Since the disruption of peace in Helion, they were forced to remain at home. Actually, not Kevian. He left at will and still came back at will. But Morel had to stay indoors with their parents.

Today, Kevian was walking with her because she wanted a little fun.

And, she was doing the talking while Kevian did the listening, nodding an accepting.

"Kevian, we will soon be back to school right/ I mean, it's boring staying at home. Besides, I want to get done with school and join the business world out there. Is it possible?"

"Mmh." Kevian nodded.

"And, probably we can make it to higher ranks than where we are right now." Morel said. Despite the fact that they were a first-class family, Morel would want all attentions to herself by doing more than what others did.

"Mmh." This time, he plucked a flower and planted it in Morel's hair.

"Do I look beautiful?" she asked.

Kevian adjusted positions and looked at his sister, nodded, plucked another flower and attached it on the opposite side.

A guard came running to them and told them they were needed inside. The two walked back into the house.

"We're needed to arrive at the palace today evening. The advocate of peace will be arriving today but avail herself tomorrow." Hayes said.

"Aww, Morel?" Sadie looked at her daughter.

"It's Kevian. Isn't beautiful?" She asked.

"it is. Now get ready. We have half an hour."

That was how the family arrived at the palace with Morel having two flowers on her head, walking alongside her handsome and strong brother attracting the attention of everyone.

Even Jesse Brooke and Scarlet couldn't help admiring what a beautiful family it was. Even their girls couldn't help hanging around the choosy Morel who simply clung to her brother.

PORT PRIME

"Your majesty, I promise I will do my best." Descending the stairs, Cher said.

"The king of Helion promise to give you all allowances, though I had your place of residence secured for all the days you're willing to stay I Helion. The king also promised to give credit to Port Prime government if peace is restored in his country. In case you need anything, call me, or call the King of Helion. You are safe, and am looking forward to the success of your mission." The King said.

"Thank you, your majesty. I can only promise to try my best for the success of everything." Cher smiled as they shook hands. Then, she was told the plane will arrive few minutes from then.

But looking around, she didn't see Haley.

"Where is she?" she asked one of the guards who were supposed to go with them in Helion.

"Flower garden."

Cher met Haley in the flower garden, different types of flowers held in her hand, but instead of the happy face, she was gloomy. Cher simply hugged her.

"What happened Jenna?" she asked.

"Can we talk later? Am hearing the sound of an approaching plane." Haley said.

The helicopter landed and Cher helped Haley into it. The guards followed and then, it flew off into the sky, becoming small, a dot until it disappeared completely.

Declan, who had been observing Haley's movement int the flower garden until when they left, went ahead and used a binocular until he could hear no sound and couldn't see anything, sighed, place the binoculars away and entered his room to start parking.
