Chapter 8 Go to a restaurant. (Part 2)

William got out of the car and opened the door to help Tue Nhi inside. Just like before, Madison was once again forgotten by him, so she had to follow them. The three of them sat down at the reserved table, when suddenly his phone rang. He frowned at the screen and then turned to Jennifer.

"I'll go out and answer the phone and then order. You and Madison sit and talk."

Jennifer nodded.

After he left, the atmosphere between her and Madison became awkward, strangely stifling. She caught Madison's questioning gaze staring at her. To ease their tension, she opened up:

"You are new to Vietnam, you must not be familiar with the time here, right?"

"I heard William and you got married two years after I was gone? And you're pregnant with his baby?"

"That's right. The baby is three weeks old."

"The first period of pregnancy was very difficult and I craved everything, but I could bear it. Thank you for concern."

"I'm not saying you're pregnant."

"So, what do you want to talk about?"

"I mean, you must tried to be my replacement for such a long time."

"Looks like you're misunderstanding something. William and I truly love each other, this child is the best proof of our love. Please don't misunderstand.

"Proof of love? Ridiculous! Do you think William really loves you? An ordinary girl with no beauty, no talent. You don't deserve him. One more thing, you should remember William and I have known each other since childhood, the relationship of nearly 10 years is not easily erased by a newcomer for 3 years. Madison continued:

"Madison, you eat a lot. There's a lot of food here!"

William nodded and continued eating. On the dining table, there seemed to be only the sound of dishes and chopsticks clashing together and the sound of conversation was almost nonexistent. Jennifer glanced at him and quickly grabbed him a piece of fish. She was about to put it in his bowl when Madison suddenly spoke up:

"William doesn't like fish."
