Chapter 2 Hotel.

He sat up, rubbed his eyes with his hand, and turned to her.

"What's wrong? Where do you want to go?"

She nodded in response.

"Uncle let me go to the company..."

"Okay, let's get in the car."

Jennifer smiled and put her hat on the car. The other man started the engine and the car slowly moved onto the highway.

"It's dangerous to go out alone this late. Is there something urgent?"

Jennifer nodded in response.

"I've got some business to take care of. You'd better hurry and help me."

"You cling firmly to me."

Hearing her intonation and seeing her urgent attitude through the rearview mirror, he understood how important the matter was, so he stopped asking questions and focused on driving.

In her mind now, she could only think of him, so she answered his questions vaguely. The uneasiness is getting bigger and bigger when the phone calls to dozens of times but still doesn't pick up. After all, where did he go? Will something happen or not?

About 20 minutes later, she was standing in front of the company gate. After paying for the car, she hurried to find him. The company is now closed, she looked around and saw no one. She went around looking. His company is located near the city center, so at this time, there are still traffic on the road and a few restaurants selling night food. She walked along the sidewalk, her eyes constantly searching. The phone was so hot because she called him, but there was still no answer. Her throat choked, her eyes red and bloodshot as if she was about to cry. She was afraid of feeling abandoned. Ten years ago, being abandoned had left her with a huge emotional obsession, now she doesn't want it to happen again.

Jennifer Martinez walked on the big road, although her legs were swollen and painful, she still did not give up. Just seeing him, she would stop. The search lasted for more than 30 minutes, her legs were too weak to walk. Because she was too tired, she had to take a break on the sidewalk. Her breathing was somewhat quick, and her forehead was covered with sweat, her current condition was enough to understand how tired she was.

Originally intending to rest and regain strength and then continue on, she unexpectedly came across a scene she shouldn't have seen. Before her eyes was now a scene of him and a woman walking into the hotel together. Jennifer Martinez dropped her hand, tears falling unconsciously. With another woman in a hotel? A while ago, she was worried that something would happen to him, went everywhere looking for her legs until her legs swelled up, only to receive a huge pain in return. He doesn't love her so why not say it directly. He gave her hope and then crushed it with his own hands. Did she follow him all this time because she was persistent or obstinate?

Jennifer Martinez reached out to wipe her tears, whether she let go or held her, she had to make this clear. She got up and used her little strength to cross the street. Standing in front of the hotel he and the woman before, she hesitated and dared not to step inside. In his head he wanted to know what the two of them were doing behind their backs, but her heart was too weak to do that. She struggled for a long time before daring to take a few steps. As soon as she walked up the first steps, he stepped out from the hotel lobby.

Seeing her, he rushed to her side.

"Jennifer.... What's wrong?"

"What? Are you still asking me that question?"

She sneered, her tone extremely resentful:

"Seeing my husband and another woman entering the hotel. Tell me, what should I do?"

He was trying to think hard, who was the woman she was referring to.

"Women? Hotel? Jennifer, what are you talking about, I don't understand."

"Don't act like you don't know anything yourself. I saw you walk into the hotel with the woman just now and you still deny it?"

William Jackson frowned and gradually understood everything. He took her hand and smiled.

"Things are not what you think. Me and that girl don't have any relationship."

"It has nothing to do with anything? Isn't it okay that a man and a woman go into a hotel together at night? I'm not a child easily fooled by your empty words."

William tried to make it clear to her:

"Me and her really have nothing. I just saw other people in trouble so I helped."

She frowned, skeptical and said:

"Help by putting each other in the hotel?"

Her jealous look on the verge of tears made him burst into laughter. He didn't think that his little wife would follow him around all day, no matter how much she scolded, she wouldn't go around and get angry like this. She looked at him, seeing that smile that made her even more annoyed. This matter was very important to her, but he seemed to take it lightly.

She rolled her eyes angrily.

"You mustn't laugh. I'm being serious. What's your relationship with that girl?"

He replied:

"Strangers are in trouble so I help."

His answer disappointed her. She told herself that if he was honest, she would think of forgiving, but he didn't. She looked at him with disappointed eyes and was about to speak when a girl's voice interrupted her.

" William?"

William Jackson reflexively turned his head to look. Jennifer also quickly leaned to the side to see who the girl had just called him. It turned out that the girl was the one who entered the hotel with him earlier.

At this moment, he turned around and stood in front of her cheerfully asking:

"What 's up?"

She moved closer, handed him the vest and said:

"Thank you for bringing me here otherwise I wouldn't know what to do."
