The preparation for the party had started and in some hours, we will go through the full moon and get to meet our wolves.
I am actually enthusiastic to meet my wolf because I need a partner by my side, someone secretive that I can voice out my worries not.
Not that I can't or don't voice out my worries to Den, but there are some issues that we don't want to tell. No matter how bad it is.
I have not set my eyes on Aaron since the day we returned from the south forest. He didn't feel the need to look for either did I. I have some pride left in me, you know.
Not that I don't care about him or something, I do, I really do. Aaron was the first boy I have ever liked in my life and I still like him.
But there are things we have to let go especially when he was not reprocicating back my feelings. "I don't love you and I am saying this in a nice way because I don't want to hurt you." I clearly remembered his voice that day as he said it, with no shame.
I was broken and hurt for days but I didn't show it to him. That would have been one of my weakest points when he finds out because he will tease me over it.
I love how friendly he is but can't he see how much I like him? How much I desire to be with him?
Den used the excuse that he might not be my mate, then he should have told me in that tone not the way he said it.
I am a sensitive person and a word can trigger me, that's why no matter what will happen, I will find a way to be a strong lady like my mother is.
She is the strongest woman I have known on earth, the Den. Den goes through a lot which she showed to no one but as her best friend, I noticed.
There are somethings I would like to discuss with Den, things like her personality, her sexuality and what not. Once saw Den ogling at a girl in our school but I never said anything about it because it is not my life to meddle.
"What are you thinking about my princess?" My father popped his head through the door, before he fully entered.
"Nothing father. Just wondering how the day will end. It is going to be a long day." I heaved a sighing moving to where he is seated.
"It is going to be a long and exhausting day my princess but you just have to go through it. It is part of who you are, you can't escape from it." He comforted.
There is always something about my father's comfort. They are the best, my mother once told me that he never got along with his father, hence making him vow to be the best father to his kids.
He is really going on his words because, with him I never lack any fatherly love and what not. "Should I tell you a story?" He wiggles his brows.
Hearing the history of my family tree from my father is among the things I love. They are the best, no one can tell me otherwise.
I nodded my head at him before I fully sits on the floor. "You know when I was young and full of energy, I never got to experience my father's love. He was always in his office which is now your art room or playing with your mother." He said.
I stared in confusion. "Your mother was adopted by my father, the Alpha. He loved her more than anything because he had always wanted a female child. Then before my coming of age, I started to experience a different feeling whenever I was with your mother." He stopped for a while.
"I told my father about it obviously but he told me to ignore it because it will stir up talks to those that don't know she was adopted. On the day of my coming of age, we finally confirmed that yes, she is my mate but she was angry at me because she thought I was ignoring her." He added.
Yes, I have seen times where my mother would ignore him because he did something bad or he didn't go according to her words. It is the funniest sight indeed, especially when he is trying his best to make her forgive him but I have never seen them fought.
"Father, go on. I hate it when you take a break." I pout.
"Cut your father some slacks." He uttered, coughing.
"So as I was saying, after your mother also had her coming of age and then she found out I was her mate. Things changed because she learnt about all the secrets my father was hiding about her. She then changed from the cute naive girl to the angry and furious type, just to show how betrayed she was." He stopped to take a gulp from the water I served him.
"We went to the witch to find her kinds, only to find out that her kinds lived faraway and she needs to go on a long journey to find them. To cut the story short, she found her kinds which are also your kinds, then at the same time I lost my parents due to some mistake my grand parents made." He breathed.
Hearing this from him made me pity him. He never experienced anything fatherly love and when it was time for him to enjoy that, he lost his father and his mother followed suit.
He must have gone through a lot, especially when my mother was not around to keep him sane.
"I told you this not because I want you to pity me but I want you to know that everything happens for a reason. You don't have to blame your self for things that happen in your life, because they are not intentional. You will never do anything to hurt your self, you know." He declared.
It was as if he was warning me. It was as if he knew something that I have been hiding from them. "But I don't blame myself." I told him forcing a smile.
"My princess, I see the way you look at Aaron and I know you have feelings for him."
"Had father, I don't anymore." I corrected.
"Okay, had. But I just want you to know that you will find happiness, it doesn't have to be with him. Besides you are still young, you want to pursue your studies, from there you can find someone better than him for you." He advised.
I wiped the tears that was falling down my eyes. "Thank you father, I will use your advise."
"That is my princess, now wipe your face and get ready for your night. Your friends should be here anytime from now." Saying that, he exited the room leaving me alone.
I did as he said and cleaned my face before I took my bath. I then got ready into my dress, I made it with the help of my mother. It is a peach ball gown that I had made with the fabrics my father got me.
It was adorned with embroidery beads on it and same goes to Den, but has with a different color fabrics. It was joyful for me to make especially when I had my mother to help me.
It was a good day that I will like to never forget because it is one in a million.
My room door opened, the face of my mother came into view. "Oh my God, I can't recognize you my love." She exclaimed.
"You do mother." I told her smiling.
I pulled her into a tight hug. "Can't breath Cal" she voiced out making me release her.
"Sorry." I mumbled letting her go.
"You look breathtaking mother, I bet father can't take his eyes over you tonight." I teased wiggling my brows.
She only smiled at me before she dragged me to the bed. "It is almost time for you to be a full lady and Luna but i want everything to be pushed aside so that you will forever be my baby. I don't want to let you go my love."
"Same mother. I don't know how I will adjust to living alone without you. Everything will surely be weird for me as time goes on." I stammered.
Stammering is something I do when I am scared. "Calm down my love, for I will be with you wherever you go spiritually." She wiped my tears before getting the makeup products she had gotten for me.
I am always lucky to have them as my parents, because they made sure I lacked nothing. This is why I have to be successful in life, I can't be the reason why they will cry or be hurt. I have a lot to achieve.
My mother used her hands to work, beating my face that I myself couldn't recognize myself. Let just say my mother's hand are blessed. There is nothing she can't do with her blessed hands.
"Thank you mother, I now look breathtaking as you." I joked making her release a hearty laugh.
"Let go my love. We will be late if we spend another minutes here and that, for sure will make your father angry." She uttered.
I hurriedly did as she said. I picked my clutch following her behind only to find Den and Aaron standing in front of my room. "We didn't want to interrupt your mother and daughter's time, that is why we didn't enter or knock." Den guffawed after saying her greetings to my mother.
"Now, you can have her to yourselves but be down in five minutes." She warned leaving us, alone.
I stared at Den, then at a star struck Aaron. "Cats got your tongue?" I chuckled.
"Not really, I just don't understand why I have never met this beauty before until today. Will you be my date to the ball?" Aaron said, offering his hands.
"No thank you. I have Den and my father as my date." I told him, laughing.
Now, he will have a taste of what I felt. I dragged a surprised Den by hand and heads downstairs leaving him to get himself straight.
Now, I can party in peace.
