They say we are what we eat.
I actually don't want to believe that but I had, seeing the way Den would shove down foods and snacks down her throat. It sure does reflect on her skin but it doesn't make her fat.
As she has said once, it is her biggest flex. She can eat whatever she wants and won't get fat. Unlike me, I watch what I shove down my throat, and whenever I eat anything out of the diet, I make to exercise to remove the excess fat.
Aaron once told me that I was forcing my self to be perfect when I don't need to. He said I was already perfect which I quoted as he was trying to manipulate me from not following my diets.
Either ways, I paid no attention to his plead on why I should calm down and stop the dieting. He tried to ask his mother to help but she shooed him away to take care of it himself, which he couldn't.
It was pass midnight already, I stayed in my pajamas by the balcony as I watched the stars in the sky. Den had fallen asleep, making me ask her parents to let her spend the night here. A sleepover as they called it but it was more like a normal night to me.
I am used to having Den over but it doesn't always ends this way. We would make sure to make the night lively with our jokes, games, and artwork.
Den had showed an interest in learning how to draw like the beginner she is. And I happily told her to get ready for the class. For quite a time now, we have not had a proper class.
It only ends with us ditching the lesson after finding something more interesting to do, or when Aaron decides to grace us with his presence and we can learn or work when he is around, because he will makes sure none of us concentrate.
Like a bling of an eye, i saw a shooting star. I hurriedly close my eyes to say a wish, not that I believe in shooting stars but I just did it because it felt right to me.
After saying the wish, I walked out into the room and closed the balcony door to stop raccoons from coming in.
I giggled as I heard the snore slowly coming out of Den's mouth. She will definitely deny doing anything like that in the morning, she always do when I tell her about what she does while she is asleep and she will then ask me to stop staring at her while she sleeps.
I draped the blanket more on her body before I moved to the other part of the bed. I lay down after dusting the bed of course.
I can never sleep on a bed without dusting it. It just doesn't seat right with me. I always make sure to say the grace to the Goddess before I leave sleep to engulf me.
The pack became more cold as the night passes by, making me realize it is either today that the snow falls or never.
Little fogs of the icing weather covered the entire room making a bit hard for me to see through. The floor was chilled like a refrigerator.
Thank Goodness, both me and Den were wearing some socks and body warmers, if not we would have frozen to death.
I straighten my head on the pillow as I yawn. It is morning already I know but due to the fog covering the room, you won't be able to tell.
I made my way to the bathroom adjoined to my room. Soon mother will ask for our presence for Breakfast and we are yet to wake up.
I had my bath first, then woke up Den to do her business in the bathroom after passing her a new pair of toothbrush and a soft body sponge.
There is something about the new generation of the pack. Whenever you take more than a day without taking a bath, you begin to omit a certain bad odor from your body that no one would wants to sit next you.
It was said in the history class I offered in grade six that it has to do with a particular portion given to mothers while they are pregnant. I have never asked my mother about it but I have perceived that kind of odor from one or two of the people from my class.
Hence, since then, there has never been a water scarcity in the pack. The Omega and the maid below them always make sure to provide the higher rank and the pack house with water from the fall.
Unlike some other packs where their Omega happened to be the second highest rank there. The world had changed, a little. Some of the rules had been changed, young Alpha's and Luna's are allowed to continue their studies even after their coming of age.
There is a newly published school section that is only found in five region of the country. It is said to be a higher education place, where the Alpha's, the Luna's, the Beta's and the privileged Omegas get a premium education on the different types of werewolf species there is.
I have not decided which of the region I will like to go in order to pursue or rather have more knowledge on the different species of werewolf.
When I am leaving, I will convince Den's parents to allow her come with me in order for her to find what her hearts desires.
Beta Dylan and Beta Julie are the parents of Den. They had her a week after I was boss and we became friends while growing up.
While we were young, fighting Den is something no child wants to attempt. She is as fierce as her father, I had seen how he react during a fight or war once when a rebelling pack decided to attack us.
And that, that is among of the reasons why I like her more. She allows no one to match her over. A queen in her kingdom.
Later on, me and Den were ready for what the day holds in for us. I led us outside the pack house, not minding how cold and chilly it is.
"I think I am freezing to death." Den exclaimed, seeing the way the town was silent and empty due to the cold.
The snow covered each and every inch of the village, I would have been surprised if the snow doesn't fall today.
We headed to my Godparents house in order to get Aaron. It is almost his coming of age then mine and Dens.
Our plan is to ask our parents if we can have a coming of age ceremony together. It would be better and less time consuming for them.
It was my idea at first and the duo seemed to like it. They can't actually wait to leave the pack, you can literally see it from Aaron's eyes.
He is waiting for that particular day in enthusiastic. I wonder why he wants to leave alone, even though he goes on hunting journeys with his father.
"Good morning aunty." I greeted my Godmother, holding her hand to my forehead to show my gratitude and love.
Den did the same thing. We were ushered inside the house by my godmother. "You came for Aaron right?" She asked.
I answered her with a nod and she left to get him. I hardly come to the house, unless I have something to do with Aaron or when I am being forced to come to the house.
Aaron took slow strides to us. He looked so handsome in the traditional pack clothes that he had purchased from our journey together.
I swallowed. "Hey, what are you thinking about?" He asked, waving a hand in front of me and getting me out of my reverie.
"Nothing." I replied.
He wiggled his brows, before moving to do the group handshake with Den and he took his seat. "So what brings you girls here? You missed me that bad?" He furred his brows and I couldn't resist the urge to roll my eyes.
"You will lose them one day if you continue to roll them that way." He joked.
Den released a chuckle that she had been holding, making her earn a glare from me. "What?" She mouthed.
"Nothing."
I turned to face Aaron. "Are we still going?" I asked.
We made plans of going to the woods of the south today since the weather is nice and chilling but of course, with the knowledge of our parents.
The woods of the south is a dangerous place before as my mother told me, and she is not sure yet if it is a safe place right now.
To be cautious and also be on the safe side, she ordered a few guards to follow us.
"Yes, why not?" He asked sarcastically.
" I thought you would chicken out because that is what you do always." I snarled, remembering an event where he left me all alone to fights the demons attacking me.
I watched as his lips forms a sign before he muttered a sorry and left to get ready. My godmother returned with a well packaged food box, her food is heaven and I can't miss this for anything.
Both me and Den thanked her for the food as we waited for Aaron to make his appearance. Soon he came back with an arrow hung behind him.
Once a hunter, always a hunter.
We finally got to the south border where three guards and a maid stood, waiting for us. They all bowed down the moments they saw us approaching them.
"Welcome my Lords." They all greeted. We left Aaron to answer the greeting as the elder and also a man that he is with us.
We started the journey to the middle of the south woods. The scenery and the view is something I would ask someone to sketch for me when I return back to the pack.
The woods is covered in fresh green leaves, despite how hard the snow fell. When heavy snows falls, no one is allowed outside of their house.
Snow lends to kill the pack members, especially the kids. I heard a rustle behind me but I decided to ignore it. It is nothing for me to worry about when I have guards making sure u return back home safely.
"What do we have here?" A non familiar voice said.
I don't know what it means, but it is definitely the call of help.
