After having the talk with my parents, I decided to figure out what I actually want to do. What I want to chase and also what I am interested in.
They also told me that they had agreed to have our coming of age party all together next week. It is a happy thing for us as our dreams came true but then we have a lot of dreams to pursue.
One of it is to find our mate and settle our lives with them. I always have one fear, what if my mate doesn't want me? Will I also run mad like the rest that their mates rejects them?
Lives is always hard on us. I know what it feels like to be rejected because I was once rejected by someone close to me and it was the worst feeling I had ever experienced in my life. I will never wish someone that.
Today is finally Christmas and I am expecting Den and Aaron like they always come to the pack house for a sleepover on Christmas night. It is something I will never want to miss.
They are moments whereby we sit and reminisce the year. There was a year that we had our Christmas without Aaron because he went on a hunting job with his father.
It was not a normal Christmas for us as we have been spending it together with each other. They are more like inseparable, no matter what happens.
This is why I can't hate Aaron for hurting my feelings. I always want to do but then I can't. A reason always popped up my brain when I want to.
I aborted the mission of hating him and starting to learn to like him as a brother and a best friend, but you know, it is always hard. It is not something I can easily do in a blink of an eye.
I have already gotten the living room for our sleepover like I always do over the years, while my mother works her way in the kitchen to prepare the best meals for us and my father works on the security of both the pack and the pack house.
I changed into my pajamas before I brushed my teeth and headed to the kitchen to see what I can help my mother with.
"Nothing dear, I am almost done here. Just stay with your sister and father in the living room while I give this the final touch they deserve." She shooed me away.
I did as she said to meet my father and sister in the living room. They were playing chess, but I don't know how to play and I have always been interested in playing it.
"It is not fair princess, you always win." Father said feigning hurt after he had deliberately left her to win. While the poor girl jumped in happiness, shouting how she had won him.
"Next time, I will be the one to win." He warned jokely.
We all know that was a lie because he will always fail to make his poor girl happy. He doesn't mind whatever happens as long as she will be happy, then he doesn't mind.
"Will you teach me father?" I batted my eyes.
"After the Christmas and then I will think about teaching you." He replied playing with my hair.
I didn't mind because it was already rough and not a scene an outsider will love to see but my parents and friends would never mind my hair. It is a part of me now.
"Why not now?" I asked pouting.
"Because I have a little angel to beat and it cannot wait." He replied me turning his attention to the chest board.
I gave up seeing how happy he was playing chess with her. Since the day he thought her how to play chess, he hardly plays it with anyone except her.
My mother said it was as if he was charmed into playing chess with only because he loves to brag about how he can play chess and beat whosoever he plays with.
They continued to play the chess game while I sat away cheering them up. I do that all the time, mother named me the cheerleader of the game while she is my assistant.
I heard some voices of the maid helping someone with their loads as they entered the pack house through the terrace.
Birth Aaron and Den came to view and I jumped to hug them. I has been three days since I last saw them. And it is already midnight, we won't have enough time to catch up until after the gift opening.
They both greeted my parents before they took seats. I dragged Den to a side, sitting close to her. "I like your pajamas. They suit your personality." I commented and She grinned.
"Thank you." She uttered back.
After gathering in the living room tonight, we join hands in the living room under the Christmas tree, waiting for the sign to open our gifts.
The fire works started indicating it was Christmas. Everyone under the tree said their prayers to the Goddess before we jumped on the gifts to check for the one that had our name imprinted on it.
"You got me a gift Aaron." My baby sister mumbled Inna babyish voice.
"Yes, because you are my princess and will always be." He told her, picking her up.
I couldn't resist the urge to scoff. Who knew he would want to deceive a five years old girl by her she is his princess? When she clearly isn't?
"What?" He mouthed while Den erupted into a series of laugh. I eyed her before I returned to my gift hunting.
Finally I found one along side with six with my name embedded on them. I squealed, I bet they will be the most amazing gifts of my time.
Each of them has a note attached to it which instantly made me believe it belongs to Aaron, he sends me gift without notes like he does to others.
I started with the one that came from my parents. It was a sewing set from my father that I had once liked but had no money to purchase it while I got a novel from my mother named 'It doesn't have to end this way' by my favorite author, MaskedLina.
She is believed to be in hidden. No one knows of her or how her books comes to store, but all I know is that my mother would always purchase me her new book that she usually released yearly and it is always signed by MaskedLina herself.
Then I moved to open the one my godparents sent me. It was a silver jewelry and shoes from the both of them. I will surely wear them for our coming of age.
I opened the one that is from Den and her parents. It was a jar with 365 reasons why they love me. I couldn't resist the urge to shade some tears before I moved to hug Den.
It must have been stressful for them to write this for me. " you deserve it Cal." Said Den as I lifted my head.
Then I moved to open the gift that is from Aaron. I slowly opened it with shaking hands. I could both his eyes and Den's as I opened it.
Inside was a journal that he claims I can write all my worries and a customized pen with my name on it. I instantly loved it despite him being a crackhead, I gave him a hug.
"Thank you." I uttered peeling my body off him.
I passed my baby sister the gift I had gotten her separately. It was a mini sketch book, I can see her arts flying around the house making mother shouts why does she always have to throw her designs.
"Thank you so much." She cajoled jumping to join our parents in the room, leaving the three of us alone.
We munched down the food that was laid in front of us. It is a tradition to eat our dinner after the midnight which was after we are done opening our gifts.
But Aaron calls it breakfast because it is another different day and I can't seem to agree more to that. "What will you wear to the ball?" Den asked turning her attention to Aaron which I also did.
"Which ball?" He questioned back, putting a fruit in his mouth.
"I don't understand which ball, of course the ball party that our parents are throwing for our coming of age." I explained angrily.
"Easy tigress, I am obviously wearing a suit. I am yet to decide which color yet but I know it has to be pink or purple." He ended, winking at me.
"Eww." Both me and Den said at the same time.
"Why would you wear a pink or purple suit? Are you gay? Because you definitely are." I pointed, picking out a straw from the tray.
Den chuckled. "Of course not. I could remember him checking out Rose's ass when she had bend the other day." Den exposed.
Mouth agape, I looked at him. I never knew of this but then somewhere in MaskedLina's book, she said some men are scum and they would forever be.
"Language Den, you don't want the Alpha and Luna to hear you. Besides she was pushing it to me, why not take a look? It doesn't hurt." He winked and I felt nauseous.
"Have some shame Aaron. You don't have to follow anything in skirt." I uttered a little bit angry and my voice was cracking.
"But wait, when did you start liking girls?" I furred my brows in confusion.
He was never the type to talk to girls except me and Den. Hearing this is new to me really, because I still can't believe he actually watched Rose while she was bending, who knows what he got to see? Ewww.
"Since the day I became matured. There is more to a lady that I am yet to explore and I will because damn, I won't miss a thing." He informed us.
A cringe was plastered on my face when he said it while Den was busy cheering him up. One day, she will not support him, because I know her.
"No, I don't want to believe it is the Aaron that I know. The Aaron that doesn't allow even his parents to dress him or see him naked." I argued.
"Well, you better believe because this is who I am now."
I gasped, Damn I missed a lot right now.
