Nadine arrived home that day, her grandmother sat on the couch watching the box tv in the small living room. She greeted her before going to the kitchen to prepare dinner. She was half way through when her phone rang, it was Ryan who had called. Nadine rolled her eyes at his call, he had earlier given her his number saying he could call her anytime. "Nadine, go to five square resort and bring some files for me," he said. Nadine widened her eyes, she checked the time in her phone and it was past eleven.

How can he send her on an errand at a time like this?! Such a wicked man! "Sir..." "No excuses!" and the call ended. Nadine squeezed her face, she wished she could just ignore but he was her boss and that was the only job paid the highest. She rounded up with her cooking and served her grandmother. While she ate, she took her bag and quickly went to foursquare resort. Nadine reached the resort, she went to the room number and what she saw when she knocked scared her to death. "Sorry, wrong room!!" she said and backed out but the man pulled her in with a funny laughter. "You can't take my money and run like that!" he said and pushed her to the bed. "Oh no, the man must have mistaken me for one of this flings!" she screamed in her head while he pulled his boxer and his d!ck protruded. Nadine hid her face only for the man to come closer and his hard d!ck to nudge her body. She screamed on top of her lungs and pushed the man away. Thankfully, he was drunk and didn't stand up quickly so it enabled her to run for her life. Once she reached out, she dragged her gown to cover her thigh well. Breathing heavily, she placed her hand on her forehead and sighed. When she opened her eyes, she saw a pair of blue eyes staring at her silently. It was the last person she expected. Nathan was there staring at her, he was surprised that she came out of an hotel room with her gown all the way up to her butt. Nathan thought she was a woman with integrity and dignity. He didn't expect to find her sleeping with a man. "Is it money you want, Nadine? Did you have to sleep with men to get money?!!" the words came out of his mouth before he could stop them. Nadine laughed, she placed her hand on her forehead and laughed almost tearing up. After spending eight years with this man, this was what he said to her after departing for three years. Nadine didn't have anything to say to him, she didn't find the need to defend herself so she walked away, looking for the right room number. Nathan was livid, how can she behave like that?! He never thought that eight years of their relationship, Nadine was such a whore. He believe she was an upright woman who hated things like this, he didn't know she was only pretending. After all, his mother was right, Nadine was nothing but a big fat whore. When Nadine arrived at the receptionist, she took her phone and called Ryan Raymond. She was so angry with what her eyes had seen but didn't express it to him. "Why do you have to be so dumb?! I repeated the room number to you but you have failed. Right now, I will have to rethink giving you the job!" He lamented and ended the call. Nadine sighed, she turned around and went home. Reaching home, her grandmother had slept off. She gently went beside her and caress her hair, her grandmother was sick and can hardly talk. She wished her father was still alive, he would have taken care of her. Her son is that rich and she suffers this way only because the wife he had married was irresponsible. The Next Morning, Nadine resumed at work very early in order to bribe her new boss. She even googled his favorite food and prepared it for him with a note say she was sorry. When Ryan arrived, he saw the food and ate it since he loved food very much. It was as though she knew his weak spot because it worked very well. Nadine watched from her office. How can a man as wealthy be so weakened by ordinary food when he can order the best chef to cook for him. "Nadine!" he called once he was done eating. She quickly left her post and went to him. "You are so ugly, yet, you know how to cook so well," he said. Nadine looked at him, he talked with so much arrogance and nonchalantly. Nadine felt like he doesn't know he was being rude because he talked like it was normal to insult people.6 "Apology accepted but if you do that again then I will really fire you this time. Later, I need you to book two escort because I will be going to the engagement party of Nathan. Ah, Nathan, my good friend," he said and faced his phone. Nadine felt like a gunshot had just been pulled to her heart. They are getting engaged?! Wait, does this mean the child Kate had carried earlier belonged to Nathan?! She felt dizzy at first, no words formed in her mouth and she looked away from Ryan. After eight years of being together, he is about to be engaged with another woman. Nadine could almost fall but she held herself and walked out of Ryan's office, she didn't know where she was heading but she knew she needed to clear the storm that had suddenly formed in her head. "My Nathan?" Tears gently formed in her eyes. Her heart felt heavy and it felt like she couldn't breathe anymore. After her father's death, she thought her mother would fill the spot but she only brought home another man and a step sister. Kate and her father only framed her for doing bad things and her mother never took her side. She left her mother house because she was tired and went to live with her father's mother whom they had abandoned. Few years later, her mother fell into coma and Kate and her father embraced all the properties, she never for once fought. During this time, she met Nathan and he filled her empty heart with love. She didn't think Nathan would ever leave her. They were happy together, although he didn't have money, they lacked nothing and they were so happy together. She didn't think Nathan would leave her for kate maybe because she is rich. She reached the lobby and couldn't hold her tears anymore. She placed her hand on her mouth just before her cries were heard, her other hand fixed on her belly as more tears escaped her eyes. However, Nadine didn't know there was a cctv camera in the lobby which was in Ryan's office. "Hm, why...." he watched as she held her belly and cried her eyes out.
