She creased her brows, wiggling her hands free from his. He pushed her aside slightly before placing a hand on Aiden's shoulders. He then whispered something to Aiden and like flash, the veins which were out went back in, like it was never there.
Jenny stood there angered by the fact that that man shoved her aside, but curious as to why Aiden reacted that way and what the man said to him.
Eric was coming down the stairs when he saw Aiden. He knew he must have been extremely angry for him to have reacted that way. He had to stop his so-called wife from laying a finger on him, else it would be disastrous.
He placed a hand on his shoulders, then gave it a light squeeze, before leaning in to whisper "Revenge".
Jenny was surprised at how Aiden was back to normal, with his poker face.
"I told you not to mess with my stuff, now look.. Your veins are popping out". Eric said, loud enough for Jenny to hear. He didn't want her to suspect or anything like that.
"he.. He...your stuffs?". She asked.
" Yes. You see....". He cleared his throat. "Pardon me, I'm Eric". He stretched his hands for a handshake.
"I'm Jenny, Aiden's wife". She replied, and Eric almost felt like showing his sympathies towards her. He took her hands in his, and shook them slightly before letting go.
"well you see, I'm a scientist so I deal with all those.. Uhm..chemical". She nodded, indicating her understanding "So he came by earlier and.. He must have mixed some things and this happened". He explained.
"Oh wow. You're a scientist. My dad is a scientist too, but.. My mum forced him to stop. Well, its fine, but then what did you say to him?".
"Say to him?". He asked, then acted as if he just remembered "Oh, I told him he disobeyed me, that's all".
" oh i see..". Austin got up from the chair. "Uh.. Wait". She called out to him as he headed upstairs. She wanted to run after him but her hand was held again
"let him go for now. He'd probably need to be in the bathroom for a while". Eric replied.
"Oh I see". She slowly looked at his hands which were still holding hers.
"Oh". He got the hint. "Sorry". He let go of her hands.
"Its fine. I'll just be in the terrace".. She murmured to herself before walking away.
Eric stared at her for a while, then shook his head. He knew everything about Aiden's plans and somehow he felt sorry for this girl. He could see the love in her eyes when she spoke about Aiden. She was even smiling subconsciously, but she doesn't know all Aiden felt for her was immerse hatred. She didn't know Aiden wanted to use her, so she could feel the pain.. The pains of the past.... The pain him and his sister went through.
She had married him. Aiden had already gotten her trust, he just needed to act on it.
Then he remembered she made mention of her father being a scientist. She said he was.. He was..? Her father?
That was no way true. As far as he knew, her father is still a scientist and is working hard to find out things about vampires and other supernatural creatures like werewolves.
He was on hot chase for them, and Eric has been the one covering up all the information he was trying to dig up. It was not at all easy since that man was hellbent on finding out the truth. He had even gone as far as staying in the woods for a week. If not that Eric had found out sooner and told Aiden about it, he would have found out what he wanted to know.
Eric didn't know when his legs led him to the terrace.
"Uhhh.. I'm bored". He groaned as soon as he realized she was looking at him like some freak who was interested in her already. " Aiden must still be busy". He groaned slightly as he took a seat opposite her.
"Well, I'm bored too". She replied.
" Great. Then let's keep each other company. So uh... Tell me about your father". He asked.
"Well, uhm, I don't know much in relation to his work, but I do know he was a great scientist, finding out things".
"things? We all find out things, but what's his specialty?". He asked.
"well..". She thought about it. "he do talk about uhm... Big foot, uhm..artificial intelligence, uhm.. And uhm...oh yes, he believes vampires, werewolves and other creature are real". She replied, and that's when Aiden was about to come in, but paused as he wanted to hear the rest of the conversation.
"Oh my. Tell me about it". Eric said, acting amused.
"Well, he said vampires are real which I don't believe ".
"What if they are?".
"Well, I would love to see them and find out more. You know, why they can't come out in the sun or why their skins are pale and stuffs like that". She replied and Eric almost laughed out loud. She was forgetting that technology was quite advanced and these things can easily be hidden now.
"alright go on".
"Well... He said that wolves turn to human and can live amongst us without our knowledge. He said a lot of stuffs. Do you also believe vampires are real?". She asked and that's when he caught sight of Aiden eavesdropping.
