Chapter 3 Birthday(Three)

Mira's Pov:

Khloe entered the car and wanted to start the car without Vivian, I looked at her from the back and found that she was determined to leave Vivian behind. I then asked her without minding the atmosphere.

"Khloe, take it easy, are we leaving without Vivian?"

She glared at me before stopping the car. I wonder if she will rule our pack with this behavior of hers but Vivian won't come out now, she is always the first person to finish dressing up and still comes out late, I don't even understand that girl.

I was still thinking when she opened the front door and entered smiling like an idiot despite the atmosphere being suffocating and Khloe's aura choking us.

"Hey Khloe we know you are the future alpha but please reduce your aura before you ruin my makeup".

Vivian said to Khloe, making me roll my eyes at her for saying the last part, like seriously we are choking but all she thinks is her makeup. Khloe reduced her aura and relaxed back to the seat, did she do that for us to remember we are seating with the alpha but if that is true then she is stupid, we almost choked to death rather she did it because we made her wait for us despite breaking my stuff.

I hissed and looked out of the window. Once we reached our destination, we all came down and moved inside the mall. We shopped looking sad except for Vivian who kept showing all her white teeth. But I decided to put what happened this morning behind me and shop happily because it is for my birthday. When we were through, Khloe paid for the dresses with our parent's debit cards before leading the way outside.

The day of my birthday has finally come, I was more than happy to see this day. I, first of all, thanked the moon goddess before going down to greet my parents who sent me back to my room saying I need to take a nap before the night because my birthday will commence at night during the full moon. I can't wait for my mate and my wolf, my other-self.

At night, my parents sent some omega's to help and dress me up. I was dressed like a princess which seems strange since my parents don't do that when we are celebrating our birthdays. They even ordered the omega's to clean the pack surroundings. They cooked different varieties of food, though I don't know why they did it. I felt happy that they prepared all this and that whatever that is happening is happening on the day of my birthday. They looked like they were expecting some people from higher ranks but all I know is that I have to enjoy myself.

The birthday was moving smoothly, even some neighboring packs came, making it sweeter. It was time for me to turn to my wolf, it was already a full moon. I moved to the front stage and stood but before I knew it, I heard a bone crack. I felt like I'm dying. The shift was very painful.

And my body was shaking. Hot sweat is rolling down my body. I felt as if I was burning, I found myself bending down and screaming in agony but before I knew it my clothes ripped out of my body and I transformed into a big, crystal white wolf.

With blue hair and sky blue eyes just like me, I looked around and found people looking at my wolf with admiration. Then I howled to the moon, and immediately every other wolf shifter howled back to the moon goddess. That's what we do anytime anybody does their first shift in our pack. After howling to the moon goddess I bowed down to my parents, my sister Khloe as the future alpha, and then I bowed to the pack members before exiting the place for my first run.

As I was running, I heard a voice in my head

"Hello Mira, it is nice to finally meet you, I am your wolf heaven," she said to me, taking me by surprise by her name.

"Is there why you are f*****g beautiful because your name is heaven?" I asked her, making her blush.

"We are the same, you are me in your human form, and I am you in your wolf form", she said sweetly to me,

"But you are prettier than me," I said sadly to her.

"We are the same Mira baby," she said to me again. I stopped and changed back to my human form. I picked up the clothes my sister Vivian gave me before I started running and put them on before heading back to the ceremony. But by the time I reached it, I was informed by the beta that my parents wanted to see me in my father's study.

For my father to request to see me in his study and immediately after my birthday that must be important, I was even angry that I didn't find my mate today, I reach my father's study and knock on the door twice before my father promptly said "enter," then the beta stepped aside for me to enter before he shut the door leaving me and my parents inside, who was looking at me with sadness, pain, and pity.

" Please sit down, Mira," my father said.

I sat down slowly because the atmosphere was awkward. My father looked hunched, and his handsome face looked haggard while my mom looked as if she would cry anytime soon. My father cleared his throat several times before looking at me sternly, his face hardened. Then he spoke firmly with his Alpha tone, therefore, initiating fear in me.

"Mira as part of the treaty negotiation with the bright moon pack, I have agreed to a marriage alliance. You, Mira Parker, will marry the Alpha's first son Nicholas Den".

I sat there paralyzed by what my father said, I laughed bitterly at my father

"You are joking, right dad?" But he looked at me with a frown and asked me.

"Do we look like a joke to you," he said, wiping the smile off my face and replacing sadness and hurt.
