Chapter 6 I'll Take For Granted

Christian forces Audrey to go with him in a car. Audrey can't resist, as Christian forcibly drags her into the car. There were still many things that made Chris curious about her, and he forced Audrey to be in the same car with him to interrogate Audrey.

Audrey kept her distance from Chris, even though Chris had told her to sit close to him several times, Audrey preferred to stay close to the door just in case Chris did something she could easily break the window to scream.

"You look scared to see me, have I ever done anything bad to you?" asked Chris seeing Audrey folded her legs in front of her chest, like a frightened person.

Audrey didn't want to see Chris, the shadows were attacking her again, her body was wrapped in extreme fear.

"Hey, woman! Are you suddenly mute?!" Chris snapped, making Audrey tremble even more.

"Mr. Chris, since when did you get married and have children?" asked Lody from the driver's seat.

"I don't know, just ask her," Chris replied then pointed at Audrey with a flick of his head.

Audrey was still holding her legs together, it felt like a two hour trip with Chris would be like being in hell. Chris' scent made her nauseous, it felt like she wanted to scream with all her might. She had to leave her car in the parking lot because Chris kept pushing and threatening not to help if she didn't come with him.

"Miss, is it true that the child is Mr. Chris's child?" asked Lody.

Audrey nodded, her mouth still mute. How could she sit quietly with the brutal rapist who made her lose everything? Really tormented.

Chris completely lost his mind to make Audrey want to talk to him, he ruffled his hair roughly then looked at Audrey. Even though she looked thin and pale, Chris couldn't deny it. The woman in front of him was very beautiful, even prettier than Clara. Those thin lips felt like Chris wanted to crush them, if only Lody wasn't with him in the car.

Chris continued to watch Audrey's face. The two eyes that looked at her looked so clear and so beautiful, the thick eyebrows, the proportional face shape, he couldn't deny, this woman awakened something in him.

Chris pinched Audrey's chin, forcing Audrey to look at him. Audrey had to close her eyes, she didn't want to see Chris' face asshole.

"You are really going too far, asking me for help, but you don't want to just look at me?!" Chris grumbled.

"Tell me, how can you say in front of a crowd that it's my son?!"

Audrey still didn't want to speak, even pushed Chris's hand away roughly from her face. Audrey looked like a kitten that was about to be killed, her fear was so great, even though Chris's face was very handsome, to her he was no more like a demon in front of her.

"Gosh, don't be this mute!"

"W-what do you want me to say?" Audrey finally spoke up, she didn't want Chris to keep yelling at her and then do something back to her. The man beside her could never be trusted, especially with his reputation as Don Juan who always changed women at will.

"Tell me, how can you say it's my son?"

"That's the truth Mr. Chris. He is really your son," Audrey replied with a straight look.

"H-how come? When did I sleep with you?"

"You don't have to remember it," Audrey replied coldly.

"Are you going to blackmail me?"

Audrey snorted, then laughed dryly. What the hell that guy is talking about? If she wanted to, she could have blackmailed Chris long time ago, but she never did. Years of struggling alone to raise Jack, without revealing the disgrace, now he says she wants to blackmail?

"Why are you laughing?"

"If you think I want to blackmail you, that's your right. To blackmail you is so easy, maybe I did a long time ago. But I'm not as bad and cruel as you, Mr. Chris," Audrey replied once again.

For some reason Chris felt insulted by Audrey's words just now. If only Lody wasn't with him, Audrey would have been in the car.

Chris was really annoyed talking to Audrey who only wanted to say a word at a time.

"You gave me a riddle that made my brain think hard. Who are you, have I had contact with you before?"

"You've helped your child enough, no need to ask more," Audrey replied curtly.

Lody himself felt that Audrey's face was very familiar. Many women he'd brought over to be Chris's treats over the years, but he was sure he'd never hired Audrey in any brothels. He always remembered the looks of the women he had paid to serve Chris' lust.

"You think finding your identity and your son's identity is difficult, hm?" Chris asked, raising an eyebrow. Bringing his face closer to Audrey's, made Audrey widen her eyes, her breathing became fast, accompanied by the rhythm of her heart beating irregularly.

She forgot, forgot so much. Chris is capable of anything. Audrey squeezed her sweaty hands. Don't let Chris send people off and find out about her and Jack. She would never give up her only son to a bastard like Chris, never.

"You don't have to ask too many questions. Your only job is to save your son. The rest, you just think it's a bad luck for me to have to beg you," Audrey said again, making Chris chuckle in annoyance.

"No one ever plays with me, Miss. If I find out who you are, and it's true that the child is my child, be prepared you will lose everything," Chris threatened then smiled wryly.

Hopefully it's just a threat, if Chris really intends to find out everything, she needs to get out of that small town as soon as possible. She would never be able to live in peace if Chris tried to find out the truth for 7 years that he had been hiding all this time.

"Could you not ask too many questions? Soon we will arrive, you donate your blood, after that I will not interfere with your life, "Audrey said quietly.

Soon the three of them arrived at the hospital. Audrey rushed out of the car, really sick and sick of being in the same car with Chris. Audrey ran into the building, letting Lody and Chris follow her from behind.

Arriving in front of the treatment room, she saw the girl from the daycare was still there waiting for her until she fall asleep.

"Hey, wake up," Audrey called out, patting the young girl's shoulder lightly.

The girl opened her eyes, relieved to see that Audrey had arrived.

"Thank goodness you've arrived. The doctor has returned several times asking if there has been any news from you."

"Please tell the doctor I've found a donor for Jack."

The girl got up from the chair, then walked into the nurse's room to convey what Audrey had just told her. Chris and Lody looked like idiots, they were both standing in front of the room where Jack was being treated without being spoken to by Audrey.

"Find out if it's really my child," Chris whispered to Lody.

"How to?"

"I'll figure out how later," Chris replied.

"Then?"

"If he's really my son, I'll take him. At the same time, find out who the woman who didn't want to say her name was earlier," said Chris once again.

"Okay," replied Lody, accepting Chris' request.

"Do it as soon as possible, because if all right. This woman has something more valuable than my money. I want you to talk to the doctor after this blood donation event is over."

Lody nodded leaving Audrey and Chris alone.
