Just being around him, Clara already felt more than happy. Even though she knows the risks, sooner or later when Christian feels she is no longer special to him, then she must be prepared to be dumped like a worn out object that is no longer needed.
Christian takes Clara out to a mall. He took Clara to an expensive boutique that sells branded goods at exorbitant prices.
"Take what you need," Christian says releasing his grip on Clara's hand.
"You don't want to accompany me inside?" asked Clara.
"I don't like to linger," he answered simply.
"OK."
"Take this card, use it when you find what you want," Christian says again, handing Clara a platinum card. When Clara entered the boutique, Christian chose to stand on the railing of the mall and leaned back.
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard the sound of a boy crying not far from where he was standing and waiting for Clara.
Christian sees a boy with golden blonde hair, with blue eyes, with an adorable face crying in confusion. Christian is slightly interested and starts to approach the boy.
"Why are you crying?" Christian asked in a very soft tone of voice.
"I'm separated from Mommy," replied the boy occasionally wiping the snot from his nose. His two round eyes look cute to Christian's eyes. For some reason his face reminded him of when he was the same age as the boy.
"Your mom left you?" Christian asks again.
The boy shook his head. The ends of his sleeves were used as rags to wipe his swollen eyes from crying.
"I let go of mommy's hand and walked to the toy store. She didn't realize that I wasn't following her anymore," answered the child smoothly.
"You want to come with me? Let's go to the information section, we'll call your mom, how about that?" take Christian to the little boy.
"I dare not go with strangers."
"My name is Christian," Christian says, holding out his hand.
"Jack," replied the little boy named Jack. Jack was still confused, his head kept following the movements of the people passing in front of him, hoping that his mother would be among the crowds of people going back and forth.
"You want to follow my advice?" Christian asks with a faint smile he rarely shows. That smile looks so warm. Jack felt that the person in front of him could be trusted. Jack takes Christian's hand.
Christian takes Jack to the information desk and asks the man at the consierge to call the child's mother. He asks to announce it soon. For some reason Christian is so happy to see Jack's cute face, every now and then he ruffles Jack's hair and then plays the six year old boy's cheek.
"Sir, have you seen this boy?" Audrey asked an old man who passed beside her while showing a photo of a boy on her cellphone.
The old man Audrey asked shook his head. Audrey's knees felt weak when no one who was asked answered that they had never seen the figure of the boy in the photo.
"Oh my gosh Jack. Where should I look for you, why did you let go of my hand," Audrey sighed in frustration. Her only son, her beloved who was always with her, disappeared thirty minutes ago among the hustle and bustle.
Not long after, she heard a call from the loudspeaker in the mall. Mention there was a boy who got lost and was looking for his mother.
Christian is still with Jack, he hands Jack the microphone that was in the man's hand at the information desk.
"You call your mom, she'll definitely recognize your voice," Christian says.
Jack complied, taking the microphone Christian handed him. Jack opened his voice, "Mommy! I'm waiting for you in the information section. Mommy I'm scared!"
Audrey who heard Jack's voice on the loudspeaker, immediately rushed through the crowd. She ran with all her power, looking for the information section. When she found her destination even from 50 meters away, she knew the man with Jack.
Audrey's face paled instantly, she couldn't believe the scene before her eyes. Her eyes looked at Christian's face with hatred.
"Why would he be with Jack?" Audrey said to herself.
While Christian continues to be with Jack, he seems very concerned about the little boy, not for a second letting go of Jack's hand. Christian himself doesn't understand, there is a warm feeling that flows through him when the tiny hand grips his hand tightly.
Audrey walked slowly. She hopes Christian doesn't remember her face. If Christian still remembers her face, then Audrey is finished. Audrey felt her palms turn cold with the nervous feeling she was currently facing. Her heart was beating very fast.
Only one meter left, she will face a man who destroyed her without a trace and left a wound on her before.
"Excuse me," Audrey said when she was in front of Christian and Jack.
"Yes? Are you Jack's mother?" Christian asks guiltily. His face showed he didn't know the long-haired beauty in front of him at this moment.
Audrey clenched her fists. Ah, if only you knew, Christian!
"Right. Can you give me Jack," Audrey asked holding back so she could keep her emotions in check at this point. Her voice trembled slightly.
Jack, who was happy to see Audrey, immediately rushed into Audrey's arms when Audrey opened her arms wide.
"I'm sorry, Jack," Audrey said then kissed Jack on the forehead.
"Sorry, have we met before?" Christian asks suddenly. Since then, Christian has been watching the beautiful face in front of him without blinking. He felt the face was very familiar, but he forgot where he had met, or just coincidentally look alike?
Audrey shook her head quickly, her feet wanting to rush away from the information section.
"Wait a minute, I feel like I've seen you before," Christian says once again, making Audrey's steps even more halting.
"I told you, you don't know me," Audrey answered quickly and then lowered her head.
Christian is sure he has met Audrey before. His brow furrowed, bringing his thick eyebrows together. Christian struggles to remember Audrey's face.
"I ha-have to go. Thank you for helping my son," said Audrey. She had to leave immediately, lest Christian remember anything. She never wish for it!
Audrey picks up Jack, then quickly walks away from Christian. Christian who had wanted to chase Audrey canceled his intention when Clara's hand grabbed his arm.
"Why do you want to chase that woman?" asked Clara curiously.
"Her face is so familiar. I feel like I've seen her before, but I forget when I met her," Christian replies.
In fact, Clara doesn't like it when Christian talks about other women, let alone talks about his flirting with the women he paid for one night.
Very sickening. But what can Clara do, she herself is nothing to Christian. Only limited to the oppressed special whore.
"Maybe your ex-girlfriend," Clara quipped a little jealously.
"I've never had an ex. Since then I have never been in a serious relationship with anyone. You don't need to be jealous, because one day I will let you go. So no need to mock me. Your satire doesn't work, in fact your words will turn to hurt yourself," Christian replied, no more stinging than Clara's words, which were only a few words.
'You bastard Chris!' Clara thought.
