Chapter 8 Finally over!!!

We were in the hotel which was just a stone's throw from the casino. I stood by the window looking at the people entering into the casino. I looked at my watch, it was 7:00 pm. "The PT meeting must be over by now!" I whispered. I then sent a message to Kira and Speer explaining my absence, Kira called immediately after I sent the message. "Ariana, I went for you as you asked but Speer was pretty mad, I guess you should call him." Kira said "I tried calling him but he wasn't picking, talk to him for me,tell him that I'm sorry! bye,I have something important to do" I replied and hung up.

"Ariana, it's time, let's go" Ed said "Let me change up, I will be right there!" I replied "I will be waiting in the lobby,be quick!" He added and went out "I can do this! " I said and breathed heavily. I went into the bathroom to shower up. I came out and put on the beautiful, elegant red dress that looked so seducive. I packed my hair in a ponytail and applied light makeup,put on my heels and walked out to the lobby. Eddie stared at me as I walked towards him. "Eddie! "I whispered breaking his thoughts "What are you thinking of?" I asked "Nothing, let's head to the car, Harry is waiting for us" he replied and we walked out. "Eddie! get in!" Harry alighted "Holly molly,where did you get a tesla car from!" I exclaimed "What's the big deal,everyone owns a tesla,get in" Harry replied and we entered. "Looking good in that dress!" Eddie remarked "Thanks" I replied stylishly blushing "Untie your hair!" He added "What for?" I asked but I did it. "Have this, we will be communicating with you through this, put it in your ear,use your hair to cover it" he said "Now, I get it, you really are good in this crime chase" I teased "Harry please drive!" Ed said "Ok" Harry replied and drove off "So here is what we planned, you approach the guy max,while we will be in the control room, we will be watching your every move and once you are done, we will delete everything, not to leave a trace, the guy is actually a drug dealer, so you gotta be careful ok!" Eddie said worried and looked at me "Come on! I'll be fine, this isn't my first case as a cop" I replied "We're here!" Harry said and pulled up "Peew!" I sighedand got down,while Harry and Eddie disguised themselves as part of the security. "Good evening " I said and smiled "You came alone? Where is your man?" The woman by the door said "Man! He's busy and I prefer coming alone" I replied and chuckled as I went in. Man! The casino was jammed with alot of people. "How do I find that bastard!" I sneered "Hey!what are you guys doing here?" The man asked "We are the security, we have come to take a look at the cameras " Harry said "Security! You don't look like oooone" the man stammered as he was being electricuted "Why did you electricute him?" Harry asked "Shut the door, serves him right!" Eddie replied "Help me let's push the table towards the door" Eddie added "P..ush! They groaned as they pushed the heavy table "Ok let's look for Ariana "Ed said clicked on the keypad "Look what I found, cookies! Anyone who left this is a good person!" Harry exclaimed and devoured them in a haste "There she is!"Ed echoed "Hello anyone listening? Ed, Harry ? Are you there?" I said through the earpod in my left ear "Yes we are listening any problem?" Ed asked "I kinda having problem in finding max" I replied "Hold on a sec" he added and clicked on the keypad I was becoming impatient as many guys were asking me. "Wanna dance?" A guy said and I grinned at him. I was standing by a table when someone bumped into me, I almost turpled over. "Get out of my way!" The voice smirked "So rude!" I remarked and quickly got hold of myself "Wait !isn't that max?ed I have seen him and I'm going after him, you copy!" I said "Got it,we are with you!" He replied and I ran after max. "Hey! you wanna dance?" I asked. He accessed me from head to toe and smacked his lips together "Love to, looking good hm" he said and I smiled in reply "So max, what were you doing at the Bojangles doughnut store last week? " I asked sneakily "How do you know my name? What's your biz with me going to that store?Who are you?" He replied getting infuriated "Calm down man,why that dirty look? Which work do you come to do here?Is it illegal?" I questioned again. Sensing who I was, he began to run. I went after him "Boom! " his gun sounded "Harrrr!" Some ladies screamed and there was a big turmoil. He joined the crowd then I Lost him "I lost him!" I echoed through the mic "Not yet! He is heading upstairs, look towards your right!" Harry yelled,then I saw him running up the stairs. I rolled my gown up and ran after him. He shot again luckily it didn't touch me "You mustn't let him get into the safe house where the big guys are, you won't be able to get him, once he is in"ed echoed. Their chatter was disturbing me,I was losing focus. I removed the earpod and threw it into the trash can. I increased my speed and pulled out my gun, which I strapped to my shoe. I wanted to shot but I couldn't.He shot again but missed, he climbed on the escalator and kept running,the elevator was my only option. I got into it and pressed three and it took me up immediately. I came out and looked sideways and saw him afar. I tried shooting him but I just couldn't,I hadn't recovered from that syndrome. He entered into a big room and I followed behind. He entered the reflection room; I was only seeing myself in the , unknown to me he came from my back and held me pointing his gun to my throat.I couldn't breath,I quickly pulled out a knife beneath my skirt and stabbed him on the leg. He grinned in pain but didn't let go. I managed to free myself and he pulled himself away trying to escape, I jumped on his back and he threw me on the floor, he manage to shoot me."hrrr!" I groaned in pain and he crawled away to the exit door.I managed to pull myself up and grabbed him at the back and stabbed him. He fell down as he couldn't move again. The bullet he shot me began to make me drozzy and I fell down. Then Eddie and Harry arrived. "Are you ok!" Ed said tapping me.and I nodded in reply "The guy is bleeding!" Harry remarked "He won't die I stabbed him just alittle , he's fine!" I whispered panting lightly "You too are bleeding!" Ed said "I'm fine , the bullet just made me drozzy" I replied and raised my gown. "You wore a bulletproof vest good save, you were brave back there!" Ed said. "Thanks Harry, take him to the van!" I said "But he is bleeding! " Harry remarked "Then call the ambulance "Ed added "Could you give me a hand?" I asked and he pulled me up. "You too should visit the hospital, the bullet did touch you a little " he said. Then the ambulance arrived, the nurses put the criminal on a stretcher and were about to do the same for me. "No, no its ok, I'm not that hurt" I said and groaned in pain and entered the ambulance. "Harry aren't you coming ? " Ed asked "No, I got to go, something urgent just came up, see you around " he replied and went off so did the ambulance. I was put in a private ward because Eddie insisted. "Can, I go home!" I asked " Not now until you are strong enough" he replied. I looked for my phone but couldn't find it, I laid backwards and closed my eyes. Two hours later, I was woken up by Eddie. "Mr. Josh is here to see you!" He whispered and I sat down properly "Ariana! there you are! How are you feeling now?" He asked "Good sir but this is really not as complicated as you think" I replied and groaned as I adjusted myself "See! You need rest. I must commend you, you really did a great job back there, I must say I'm impressed " he complimented "Thank you sir, has the store owner being compensated?" I questioned "Relax! Eddie will take care of it, just get some rest ok! In fact you can take a week off" He replied "Ok then, Eddie and I will be headed back to the station " he added and went out "Thank you so much sir, I'm grateful! "I replied "Bye! here is your cellphone, get some rest " Ed said and handed the phone over to me and went out. "Finally over! " I echoed and laid backwards staring at the ceiling.
