Chapter 7 7

"Mrs. Hale, Mr. Hale sent this for you. He's gotten me in charge of your meals." Lyndon elegantly said, handing her the insulated lunch boxes.

"But I don't need anyone in charge of my meals. Delivery services are very easy nowadays Mr. Tate." Utterly surprised she refused and told him with a stern voice.

"Please Mrs. Hale, I disturbed my mother for this." Fearing the wrath that waits upon him if Sebastian found out he was unsuccessful, beads of sweat formed on his forehead.

Seeing how persistent he was, Heather let him in to prepare the meal.

There was an array of courses arranged on the table all of which were nutritious. Lyndon carefully watched Heather devouring her meal.

She was blushing after finding out that Sebastian made an effort for her but she didn't want to fall for him ever again. She gave herself a long pep-talk and was determined to divorce him at all cost. Not even the baby could change her mind.

"Mrs. Hale your meals will be delivered to you. Sir has also sent me to get you some groceries," Lyndon stated out of the blue as she was sipping her soup.

"Is your boss raising pigs here? The meal is too much for me Mr. Tate why don't you sit down and share it with me. Sebastian has been awful to send you out to do trivial matters that he could've done on his own if he really wanted to please his wife, who's already divorcing him because it's too late." Lyndon blinked at her but she pointed at the extra cutleries and insisted on him to sit with her.

"Mrs. Hale, Mr. Hale is on a business trip. He'll be gone for the rest of the month but after that, he'll have more time for you. In the meantime allow me to be of your service if ever you need to run some errands."

"Tell him, I've signed the divorce papers. I won't be asking anything from him." Lyndon grew silent and went on with their meal.

After that, he drove her to her studio. Lyndon followed her like a shadow which irked her a little, but she pitied the poor man knowing Sebastian could fire him for failing.

"How are you feeling now?" Fabio asked.

"I'm doing well now thank you," Heather replied casually. The studio was quite busy since Fabio was teaching sculpting classes in the other room.

Leaving him to his work, Heather went straight to her office where her assistant Donna was waiting.

"Ms. Heather a client has been waiting for you the whole day in the lounge. I've sent you an email about it last night." Heather didn't read her emails as she slept early and still woke up late.

Not wanting to make the guest wait any longer, Heather sprinted out to meet the potential client.

However, her walk slowed down upon realizing who the man in a black suit was. His black hair was gelled perfectly and his handsome features felt quite familiar to her.

"Heather Presley." He turned his back to look at the stunned Heather on her feet.

"Tristan?" She was in shock. She hasn't seen the man in years and she wished it stayed that well. "What are you doing here?" She nervously asked.

The man was exuding a confident and cool aura but it wasn't as perfect and as natural as Sebastian's. He stood up and walked towards Heather who took a step back away from him, halting him in his steps.

"I want a masterpiece signed by the world's greatest artist." He smiled looking at the most beautiful face he had longed for years.

"Find someone else." Heather uncomfortably replied and turned her back to leave but Tristan caught her arms.

"Can't you just let go of the past? It's been almost 8 years." Tristan angrily said, stunning Heather completely. She chose to forget everything that happened in the past. Knowing Tristan would be persistent and force her even more in the coming days, she chose to give in.

"What do you want?" She asked.

"I don't want anything in particular, I just want you" he paused "to surprise me with something special I can hang at our house." He added, Heather's eyes went wide but dismissed everything she heard.

"Do you have a photo of the house just so I can picture out what painting you'll be needing?" Tristan Sterling is a renowned architect. Both he and Heather studied in the same art institution in college where they met.

Tristan took out a folder where the photo of the house was. To her surprise, it was the house Tristan sketched for her back in the day. It was for one of his classes and Heather sat down for him as a pretend client. She detailed out what she wanted in her future home and she remembered falling in love with the sketch that she kept a photo of it and vowed to build it someday.

"You built it?" She said in surprise.

Tristan smiled and nodded, "Of course, I'll do everything for you. You can even come and visit someday."

His presence was making her feel queasy so she chose to dismiss his words, "Uhm. When do you need it?"

"Whichever suits you? I'm not rushing you. I can't wait for as long as you like."

"I don't have anything in mind right now. But I'll have my assistant contact you if needed. As for the payment, I'll give you a receipt." Heather wanted to dismiss him immediately and went to take care of his payment.

"It was very nice meeting you again Heather. You look even more beautiful than before. See you soon" Tristan said as he was leaving.

Waiting for her reply, Heather gave him an awkward grin. "It's all in the past now Tristan, I hope we've learned to let it go."

Not wanting to hear from him, Heather humbly bid him goodbye and went back to her studio, where she took a heavy sigh.

Tristan Sterling was one person she never wanted to see again especially now that she's married and carrying a child.

"Heather are you alright?" Fabio asked. Heather calmed down and assured Fabio with a smile.

"I'm fine."

"I'm all free now, shall we start with your pottery lessons?" Fabio asked. Since Sculpting and pottery wasn't Heather's major in college, she takes private lessons with Fabio to learn.
