Chapter 4 Looking for a job 2

ALEXA'S POV

Today I decided to help my aunt in her shop, she's kinda sick so I forced her to stay at home. Well no one wants to hire a girl who only has high school results, and those restaurants, they are all garbage.

I have been sitting here for a while but no one came to the shop for anything, and miraculously someone came in, he looks rich yet handsome, this may be my chance to find a job, I just have to fake a cry, I started faking tears as he comes nearer.

"Hey there, are you okay?" He asked, touching me lightly and I sniffed hard.

"Y..yeah I'm okay" I stuttered drying my fake tears. "Are you sure you're okay?"He asked and I nod my head.

"I'm just tired, I'm tired of everything"I said holding my chest and breaking into another round of fake tears.

"You're tired of what? Are you okay?" He asked again with a little frown, I guess my tactics are working on him.

"I'm not okay, why is my life so miserable? Why can't I just live a normal life? I just want to end this miserable life of mine" I said and stood, I made to run but he held me.

After sitting for like ten minutes in total silence, his voice came up again.

"What happened to you?" The rich looking handsome dude asked me.

"My aunt is the one that own this coffee shop, she has been my backbone since my parent's death, I have completed my high school education, I want to go to college but there is no money, my aunt is struggling hard to send me there but there is no money, this coffee shop barely sustains us not to talk of sending me to school, I have been looking for job for a while now but no one is willing to give me a job, I'm tired, I can't even find a job to help aunt that has been there for me all my life, she is sick now because of me" I lamented and started crying because I was so emotional, aunt has been there for, she deserves a better life, I want to finish my education, get a good job and take care of her.

"Ohhhhh, I'm so sorry about that, aunt never told me she has a daughter who needs a job (I looked at him weirdly and he chuckled) well your aunt is my aunt too, we are not blood related or anything but she gives me advice every time I come here (I nod my head slowly understanding him) well I think I have a way to help and.........." I interrupted him abruptly.

"You do? (He nodded his head) omg, thank you so much" I hugged so tight and coughed a little to tell me he's choking and I quickly released him.

"I'm sorry, I'm just excited and carried away, I......" he cut me off.

"It's okay, I perfectly understand, well my boss is currently in need of a personal assistant, so I don't know if you can work as one because he is a very hard guy to please yet soft, you just have to be on his good side, and you have pray he accepts you, I'll do all my possible best to make sure you get the job" the guy said, I smiled and held his hand.

"Thank you so much........" I looked at him and he smiled "Mark" he said.

"Thank you so much Mark, I really appreciate" I thanked him and he stretched his hand towards me with his business card, I collected it.

"I will come pick you up on Monday, dress nicely and decently" I nodded my head quickly.

"A cup of coffee pls" I nodded my head and went to make his coffee.

AMELIA'S POV

The car jerked a little, Nick turned off the car's engine and made to go out of the car to open the door for me but I held him as he looked at me.

"Are you okay Lia?" He asked tenderly and my heart shook slightly, it is now or never, I must tell him how I feel about him.

"Y...yeah, yeah I'm okay, I.... just want t..to let you know that I..love you" I said and bowed my head immediately.

"What!" He shouted with his eyes almost popping out.

I guess he doesn't feel the same way but I don't think I can give up on him.

"I have always loved you, even when we were kids, pls I don't think I can hold on any longer without letting you know how I feel, it's okay if you don't lo..." he placed his hand on my lips and I looked at him.

"It's okay, I love you too even when we were kids, I thought it was just a normal childhood crush, but spending time with you I realize I love you too" he said and I smiled widely, one goal achieved.

"Thank you for coming back into my life, will you be my girlfriend Amelia Gregory?" He dropped the question and I quickly nodded my head, he locked my lips with his and we both kissed passionately.

The night took long before it ended for both of us, I can't believe I'm in a relationship with Nicklaus, I'm so excited.

ALEXA'S POV

It's Monday morning and I'm damn nervous, I pray I get this job but something in me tells me I can't get it.

I don't have a college result and I want to work in a company as assistant to the CEO. Is that even possible? I'm just praying for God's miracle.

"Don't worry baby, I strongly believe that you will get this job" aunt said soothingly rubbing my back, I nod my head, then turned and hugged her.

"Thank you aunt, I......."the car honked constantly outside our house.

I rushed to see Mark beside a car, I went to my aunt and hugged her.

"Good luck baby, I will be praying for you" she said and I got emotional.

"Thanks mom, I love you" I dusted my shirt and ran out.

"You're ready?" Mark's voice came up.

"Yeah, good morning" I said and smiled lightly.

"Good morning, let's get going" he said and I nodded my head. We entered his car and his driver drove off.

"Are you nervous?" Mark ask

"Huh? I..I'm not" I said blinking my eyes rapidly "Ohh okay, just so you may know, he doesn't bite" he said and smiled at him, the ride continued in silence.

We have arrived in Knights Empire for sometime now, Mark has also left me for more than thirty minutes now, I really hope it's for the best and I pray I get a job here, I hope our plans works, Mark said the CEO can offer me job even if it's a cleaner and my pay will be very okay, but he wants to present me as the personal assistant he found for him, I.......
