Chapter 9 Fierce

Mrs. Jean took Simona to the living room, brought over a plate of glutinous walnut cake, and casually put it on the tea table.

"Eat!"

In the Christ Garden, except Uncle John, the old butler, Mrs. Jean was the most senior maid and tended to the old man's every need. Old Mr. Christ had been used to her service and gave her the most liberal red envelops during the New Year and other festivals.

Simona picked up a piece of cake which was cold.

When the cake got cold, it became as hard as a rock and unpalatable.

Should she bring such a thing for her to eat?

Mrs. Jean cast her eyes down contemptuously, "Why don't you eat it? It's delicious. Eat them all."

She certainly would not look up to a silly girl.

Deep down, she felt aggrieved for Mr. Christ. Was the old man confused? How could he ask his grandson to marry a silly woman?

Mr. Christ's life was ruined!

Simona grinned, took a bite, and chewed vigorously.

In the end, she almost finished all the cakes on the plate.

Mrs. Jean bent down and forced a smile again, "Is it delicious?"

"Mm, de... delicious."

"Then come out with me, Old Mr. Christ asked me to take you to the courtyard for a walk." Mrs. Jean grabbed Simona's wrist with no respect in her eyes and acted like walking a dog.

"Oh."

As soon as Simona got up, she saw Nathan coming out of the study.

She immediately shook off Mrs. Jean's hand and rushed up, "H... hubby."

When Nathan saw her dull face, his sullen face softened a lot, "Have you played in the courtyard?"

Simona shook her head, "No... not yet."

"Next time, let's go home."

Nathan grabbed her hand to walk out.

When they passed by Mrs. Jean, Simona suddenly halted her steps and leaned towards the man, "Ow... ouch, ouch..."

Nathan lowered his head, looked at the girl, and frowned, "Where does it hurt?"

"Stomach... stomachache..."

Covering her stomach with her hands, she slowly squatted and then lay down on the floor.

Her stomach ached badly!

Nathan's face turned serious, and he bent down to pick up the girl, "Why does your stomach ache?"

Simona bit her lip and shook her head vigorously. Her face looked very painful.

Uncle John, the old butler, came up, "Sir, why don't you carry her to the room? I'll call in the private doctor of Old Mr. Christ."

The old man's health was getting worse these years. Therefore, the private doctor moved in the small building behind for the servants. In the case of an emergency, he could make it to the scene in the shortest time.

After a moment of hesitation, Nathan carried Simona up the stairs.

The Christ Garden was over 20 kilometers away from the hospital in downtown. Now that the girl suffered so much pain, he was afraid of misfortune during the trip.

He walked into the room and put Simona on the bed.

But she wouldn't let go of his big hand and cried bitterly, "H... hubby... it... it hurts!"

Sitting on the edge of the bed, Nathan stroked the cheek of the girl, "Does it hurt badly?"

Blaargh...

Blaargh...

Simona suddenly lay prone on the man's lap, and threw up all the things she ate, staining his trousers!

Downstairs, Mrs. Jean froze there, felt a shiver down her spine, and slowly moved her eyes to look upstairs.

She looked like seeing a ghost.

She, she...

It was not her illusion.

When the dull girl was carried upstairs by Mr. Christ, she... she looked back and glared at her fiercely!
