Chapter 6 A Bunch of Idiots

Late night in Sam's house,

Utterly discomfited, Lucy Shaw sat on the sofa, "Mr. Christ is willing to marry her, a foolish stammerer, but she pulled a long face and threw a tantrum. Look how badly she bit me!"

She was no different from a crazy dog!

The bite mark was deep, and she shed so much blood and almost needed stitches. Was she trying to kill her?

"Let me take a look." Next to her, Edward Sam hurriedly grabbed Lucy's arm, put it to his mouth, and blew air at it. He really felt sorry for her.

"Don't be mad, Lucy. She is just an unappreciative fool. There are thunder and lightning outside, I wonder if she would be struck by lightning."

Lucy smiled, wiggled her thin waist, snuggled up against Edward's arms, and sighed coquettishly, "Oh, that silly stutterer is your niece and your brother's only daughter after all. If she is dead in the wilderness, wouldn't you feel sad?"

"Besides, she can't die now. If she does, how would we explain to the Christ Family?"

"Well... that's true." Edward's face turned solemn.

Now they already took half of the promised money from the patriarch of Christ Family. If the damn girl really ran away, wouldn't they have to return the money?

Without the money, Sam Group was doomed!

Lucy stood up, frowned, and sighed, "No, we should send more servants to search for her. It's thundering and raining outside, so the stupid stutterer can't get far."

However old Mr. Christ was! Even if he was 70, 80, or would die tomorrow, the damn girl should marry him.

Although the reason why the patriarch of Christ Family wanted that girl to be his granddaughter-in-law was unknown, now she couldn't care that much. Sam Group needed that sum of money to go through the difficulty.

If Sam Group went broke, how would their family survive?

Edward held Lucy tightly, "Don't worry, Lucy. Even if Sam Group is screwed, I will not let you suffer even in the slightest. All that I have will be given to you."

Lucy ridiculed him inwardly.

You were nothing but a worthless wimp.

"Edward, at the end of the day, it's my fault. All these years, I failed you and Sam Family. If I can live up to your expectation and have any child for you..."

"When father was alive, he often chattered about our limited family size and that Simona is the only bloodline. However... she is retarded."

Edward wiped the tears of his wife with distress, "Why do you suddenly bring this up?"

"Why couldn't I? If we have a son, how would your little brother, Walden Sam, even have a chance to inherit Sam Group? Since your elder brother died, you should be the first heir. If father handed over Sam Group to you back then, the company wouldn't have been in such peril..."

"Lucy, alright, don't cry." Edward gently patted Lucy on the shoulder and kept on comforting her.

Outsiders might not know, but Edward was aware that their childless situation was on him.

When he was young, he had a car accident.

Although his life was saved, his vitality was damaged...

He became impotent!

The culprit behind that car accident was his younger brother, Walden!

He was grateful that Lucy didn't despise him and remained devoted. All these years, she had been taking care of all family affairs big and small. It was really painstaking.

"Edward... you are so nice to me."

Lucy called Edward coquettishly and slightly leaned against his shoulder, but the corner of her mouth curved up secretly.

Sam Family members, old and young, were a bunch of idiots!
