Chapter 8 ANGRY BIRDS

only she would talk ,if only......

there was silent as neither Joanna or May said anything.

May too in a deep breath.she repeated her question,after some times when the silent is becoming unbearable.

She repeated her question.

"Joanna what's really wrong?.Am your best friend ,you can tell me ,please."

Joanna who had been stirring into space for a long time looken up to her friend and shook her head;

"I'm fine May,nothing is wrong with me."She said.

"You aren't Joanna. I've known you long enough . I can eas ily identify when something is bothering you.i know every aspect of you including your moods.I can tell when you're happy,angry,sad or even when something is eating you up.Right now,I know that worriedly scared about something."she said slightly raising her voice out of fru stration. "There's something eating you up and it all started after the party.you're not fine ,you arent JOANNA."May concluded stressing her last word which turn out to be Joanna's name.

Joanna hissed.

"I don't know why you're sweating yourself over things that does not concern you".

"it does Joanna,it does.you're my friend,not just a friend,'my best friend 'and the sister I never had."said May putting an air quote on the best friend to illustrate her point."And it my duty to see you're okay .maybe you don't consider me as one.I am nothing but a random girl who you hang out with,right?"

"what nonsensical thing are you spitting out May?"Joanna asked puzzled to hear her friend saying those thing.

She never intend to make her feel that way.

"See May,you're my friend and one of my closest family."she added.

"Then tell me what the fucking hell is wrong with you."May yelled loudly settling everyone.

"Sorry " she mouthed to everyone in the restaurant who have turn looking at them due to her outburst.

Taking in a deep breath,she turn facing Joanna who calmly stir back at her.

she said;

"I'm very fine May. If some thing is wrong with me, I would have....."

"Scroll you Joanna. Just admit it,you don't trust me enough to let me in.Am not worth enough for you to....."

"Enough! !!!"Joanna shouted raising her hand to silence her."that's enough.you.have.said .enough."she added pronuncing her words one after the other.

She's angry .her calm have been lost.Just because she's not telling her anything does not give her the right to talk to her like that .

Nor does she have the right to questioned their years of friendship.'she thought.

"How dare you say all thar trash to me.what if something is wrong with me and am not telling you ,is that the right way to pull it out of my mouth.Huh?answer me ,is that the way to make your friend talk .A friend you've known for decade.I am so disappointed in you May ,am extremely disgusted with your attitude. mtchew. "Joanna hissed.

Gotten up from the chair she starts to walk out of the restaurant with so much anger and hurt.the hurt she felt is more than the anger burning on her.

She would never have believe that her best friend wound talk to her like that.Even in her wildest dream she wouldn't accepts that she would doubt their friendship.

Still lost in her thought as she reminisce over what happened between May and her.

She collided with a wall as she fall but down on the flour.

"God,today will never get any better."she murthered.

Trying to overcome the pains he is feeling,her eyes came in contact with a sihoutte.

Wait it isn't a wall 'she thought as she loozed up to found a man emotionessly looking down at her.

She got up with an over whelming anger.

"How dare you hit me with your useless body.Are you drunk ?cant you watch where you're going."she yelled loudly.

"I shound be the one asking you that."he said calmly

Joanna scoffed"Really?I thought you are just blind but I never know you're stupid too."

"Watch your tongue lady "

"or else what?what you got to do if I dont?"she said challengely.

"if I were you,I would mind the kind of people's toes I will step on."he warned.

The deadly auras emitten from him got everyone at the restaurant scared.On a normal days Joanna would have been scared to her wit.

But not today.Today she's blinded by anger and frustration. She have found a better place to transfr her aggression.

She aren't gon na lose it.

"too bad you can't be me.And I'm scared of no one including you."She said pointing her index finger on him.

"you're pushing me to the wall,don't let me bounce back"he backed

He's dangerous ,he is very dangerous'the word rang like a bell withim her.

All anger vanish as great fear took over her the moment she met the man's gaze.

'Oh God save me'she prayed as she wonder what took control of her not to have notice the powerfull and dangerous aura coming from the man.

she couldn't believe that she have been running her mouth freely towards a man like that.

why did she let her anger blind her so much to the extend of insulting a man who cound ruin her in a twinkle of an eyes.

"what did you say?am a mistake from my mother?"he yelled looking deep into her eyes.

Fire ,fire that's all she could see emiting from that eyes she's looking at. it burns dangerously and to thinks that she was the one who set it up.

'Now it will consume her with no one to save her.

'God,What have she done?she murthered to herself.

"See am...."

"Shut up " he yelled tight ing his hold on her

She's sure ganna have bruises but that's the list of her worry at the moment.

The man right now is nothing less than a beast...so scary.

She wondered if she will ever leave the restaurant unscathed.

what her mouth driven by her anger have caused her.
