Chapter 5 ALONE

TEGA

I've never been more anxious for school to close , but here I am checking my watch every minute for 1:30 to reach.

Why was I so anxious to meet her? Was it because she comforted me during Grandma's wake ? Urghhh, I don't know. I don't want to read too deep into it .

" You keep checking your watch, in a hurry to go somewhere ?" Henry asked

" What ? Oh, mom wants me to run some errands for her "

" And you are in a hurry to...run those errands?"

" Of course, you know how much I respect mom"

" If you say so. What time are you -"

My watch vibrated . I had actually set an alarm for 1:30, okay ?

I ran out with speed.

" Hey! " Henry called after me " errand , my foot"

I got to the arcade and waited. Was it too early? She might not even come and yet I had ran .

1:45

2:00

What was I expecting?

I was about to go when Rayne appeared Infront of me breathing heavily.

" Are you okay ?" I asked

" Yeah, just had a hard time escaping Grandma . Let's go "

RAYNE

Uh-oh

I decided to play dumb

" Who are you talking about ?"

But I should have known better because Grandma suddenly got upset" oh, so you are going to play dumb now , huh?"

But I was angry too

" and what did you expect me to do huh? You don't want me to get revenge so I'm just supposed to sit in this big ol' house doing nothing? Do you know how you treat me Grandma? You even have the luxury to go without telling me where you are going to and eating human food but all of a sudden ,I'm the one being thrown down the bus because I spoke to someone while bored " .I sighed" if you want me to leave your house, just say so . Don't think you have a say over what I do "

I stood up and ran out . I missed my family so much .Now that my family was gone , there was no one to understand me .

Just Grandma to lecture me .

Suddenly I remembered that there was Tega , I looked at my watch ; 1:45

" Oh shit! "
