Chapter 5 My Girl

~Mia's POV~

We danced for 4 minutes and then the song stopped. He left to meet his friends without saying a single word. "MIA! What were you doing, and with GOD! Please pinch me I think I am freaking dreaming!" Ugh this drama girl. "You are not dreaming dumbo. I don't even believe it myself that he just danced with me but yeah he did." She was as shock as me and said that it was lucky day for me. We both talked and then she was called by Tyler.

I waited for Oscar as he was playing with Max. "Oscar, let's go. We're going home" I said as he made a puppy crying face. "Oh sweetie you can come to our home whenever you want" Max's mother said. "Yes Oscar you can come anytime and we'll play more" Max said while giggling. We bid them a good bye and went to home in Ellie's car. "Enjoyed??" Ellie asked as we reached my home. "A lot and the best part was that I got a chance to dance with my crush. God knows how happy I am today" Ellie just laughed at my craziness for Ethan. "I don't know why all the girls in college have a crush on that monkey including YOU" She said as I chuckled. We made dinner together and after having dinner she left for her home.

It was weekend tomorrow so I decided to go for a walk outside. I really felt good whenever I would go for a short walk at Friday nights. I would feel unperturbed and so I wore a black oversized hoodie with shorts which couldn't be seen because of my oversized hoodie. I laced up my black thunder sneakers and went out after making sure that Oscar was sleeping. The street lights were still on and so I just walked in the direction of the nearby park.

I was still on the way to the park when I heard someone laughing in an atrocious way. I started to walk faster as I heard the voices coming closer. "Hey you" I froze at my tracks. I didn't look back. "Yes you, lovely" he said and that was enough for me to pee in my pants. I looked back and saw 4 drunken men. My goodness! I don't think I would be alive to see the next dawn. "Don't come closer to me or less I'd shout" I warned them but that was nothing for them. They took it as a joke and laughed. "Oh my, I am scared" the other man made a funny scared look. They started to come in my direction and I started to run without looking at where I was going.

I was running and suddenly I collided with someone. I was petrified. Don't tell me it was one of those men.

'To hell with walk, I want to go home' I said in my heart.

My heart mocked back, 'No, no sweetheart you have to take a short walk. Why not, it's only 2:30 a.m.'

I could hear the voices of those men now very near and clear. I looked up to see the man's face and I wanted the mother earth to swallow me. What the hell is he doing here? Like how is it possible for him to come here like a hero? I moved back and he smirked. He always does that, Daniel. I didn't expect to see him like that but thank god now at least I can see the next dawn, lol. "Hi honey, didn't expect to see you like this" he said with his infamous smirk he always has on his face. "Hey, yes you boy! Give us the girl" Daniel grabbed me by wrist. "Okay but what would you give me in return" WHAT is he up to. Would he just give me off to some drunken men? "Daniel what are you doing?" I asked as I was about to burst into tears. "We'll give you another woman. She will for sure pleasure you but we want this little girl" they said while pointing towards me.

"Okay then, come and take her" Daniel said as he jerked away my hand he was holding earlier. All four of them stared at each other, "Derek, you go and bring her to us" one of them asked his partner. He marched towards me and tried to grab me by my wrist but before he could do that a solid punch landed on his face and he fell to the ground groaning in pain as his mouth started to bleed. "What the fck man. You said we can take the girl." Daniel looked at the other man who now stood in front of him boiling with anger. "Who said I am just going to give off MY girl to some old, drunk, womanizers like you, huh?" he said as he kicked the man in stomach and his mouth bled in an instant. Woah! Now that's totally heroic. He emphasized the word 'MY'. The other two men ran away leaving their friends. Daniel called the police and the two men were taken away.

"Now tell me, what the hell were you doing here at this hour? Don't you know that men like them roam around the streets at night totally drunk? You are mature now and you understand things as far as I know you. Then why did you decided to take a walk on such a scary desolated road, hmm?" I just lowered my head as he scolded me. "I just wanted take some fresh air and walk around a bit. I do that every Friday, nothing like this ever happened to me before" I reasoned. It was cold even though I was wearing a hoodie I felt cold. "And look at your dress you came out in shorts that could be barely seen besides it so cold and you decided to wear extra short shorts" he said as he hugged from the side and we started walking back to my home.

"By the ways, what were you doing here?" he looked at me and smiled. "I was waiting for a friend but now I'll call him that I'm already home. You won't kick me out right?" I just laughed. He always makes me feel special. I just feel very comfortable and good with him despite the fact that he is always flirting with me but I don't mind him flirting with me because I know he likes me too. He just makes me feel good like no one else.
