Chapter 2 Dare touch my woman

~Author's POV~

"Hello Mr. Ian, Ethan speaking." The boy who sounded like a 16-year-old spoke in a cold and domineering voice. "Cancel all of the dates I have in this week" the man on the other side of the phone was shocked, "W-why sir?"

"Do I need to repeat myself Mr. Ian?" the boy on the phone suddenly got infuriated. "O-okay sir." The boy stood up from his chair and tidied himself up and dialed another number on his phone.

"Hey man, sup?" the boy on the phone who sounded the same age as Ethan, was very frank with this domineering boy. "All good Tyler, how are you," he said while looking out of his room's magnificent window.

"I'm good. There is something I wanted to tell you." "Hmm, what is it?" "Ethan I found the girl you were looking for" a small indiscernible smirk appeared on his face. "Go on," he said while inserting one hand in his pocket. "Her name is Mia Jones. She is 14 years old. She is an orphan, the only family she has is her younger brother Oscar Jones.

"Her brother was diagnosed with lung cancer two and a half years ago and his treatment is still going on. She works in a restaurant as a busgirl to pay for her brother's treatment"

Tyler was feeling very sympathetic towards Mia while Ethan was just standing and listening to it calmly. "Anything else," he said while playing with a pen he just picked up from his table.

"Yeah, I found her address. She lives in an apartment above the hotel she works in. The owner of the restaurant happens to be a very noble and kind lady and considers both of them her children and lets them live free in the apartment"

Ethan was impatiently listening to his friend Tyler. "Is that all?" he said while controlling his impatience. "No, that's not all; the owner of the restaurant lost her whole family in a car accident and re-married to a man named Juan.

"So is there something special about this man," he said in a sarcastic tone. "Well, maybe for you" Tyler knew he was losing his patience. "Spit it then"

"Juan treats Mia badly. He even makes her pay for the rent even if she begs him not to. Once when Mia refused to give him money because it was for Oscar's treatment; Juan slapped her and took the money"

"He even abuses her and beats her every day" the man abruptly kicked the chair, "Find the man as soon as possible!" Tyler knew the girl means something to his friend otherwise he won't be so angry.

"The man is going to die for sure. He welcomed his end by touching his woman" now Tyler was confirmed that Ethan liked Mia. But how come he didn't notice.

Ethan has always been a playboy and didn't take relationships seriously and so it was fair enough for him to not know about his secret love for a girl.

~Mia's POV~

We got back home and I was a hell of a tired. I washed Oscar even when he said that he could do it himself but I am scared what if something happens to him while I am away. No, I can't afford to lose him. "Sis, this time I let you wash me but tomorrow I'll wash up myself" I smiled and nodded at him.

Oscar slept shortly after doing his homework and so I went to my room and opened my closet and searched if I had something to wear for Max's birthday party.

I was very dissatisfied to see that all I had were three pairs of blue jeans, 2 pairs of white knee-length skirts, 2 baby pink full sleeve shirts, 2 black half-sleeve shirts, and a night suit that I wore every day.

There was nothing good that I could wear at the party. I couldn't even buy something good. Everything was so expensive and I was short of money. Then I remembered that I have a life-savior friend. Yes, Ellie! I called her with lots of expectations.

Hey, chicas! (Hey babe in Spanish) Como Estas amor? (How are you love? in Spanish) "Ellie, how many times do I have to tell you that I can't speak Spanish" Ellie chuckled, "But you said your parents were Spanish; how come you can't speak Spanish"

"Yeah I didn't spend much time with my parents and so I can't speak their language". Ellie sighed, "Well I can teach you if you want" "Okay okay but I need to tell you something and I am in big trouble and so I need you," I said while pleading.

"Okay okay catch your breath I am coming" than she hung up. I called her again, "Hey, what now; I am on my way" she said "Hey I wanted to say that I have a big party to attend tomorrow do you have something good for me to wear". I said in one breath.

"Girl calm down; why are you shouting. The cab driver can hear you too". She said while laughing out hard. "The thing is that it's Oscar's friend's birthday and his family is rich and are noble people and so I wanted to wear something good".

Ellie was quiet for a while, "How come they invited you?" why not; can't I be invited. I mean I am beautiful after all. "Well, why not?" "That's not what I meant; I mean to say that you went to them or they came to you, to give you the invitation."

"I saw Max's mother in Oscar's school and so she invited me" "Oh okay well I have an idea. How about you wear the dress your dad gifted your mother. That dress will look so good on you; very simple and exquisite" why didn't this idea come into my mind.

"Okay then I am waiting for you, come over" she hung up and I waited for her to come. She was my best friend from kindergarten. She had seen both my parents.

Her name is Ellie Cameron and is the same age as me. She lost her parents too and her aunt sent her to an orphanage and there she got adopted. Now lives with her new family and is very happy.

I hope that I steal everyone's heart at the party and I'll make them admire me.
