Chapter 4 Eye Contact

Kalya POV.

I was still leaning on Okta's shoulder, and Reva was still stroking my back to calm me down. It's not without reason that Okta tried to calm me down because Vion hasn't been replying to my chats lately. He was too busy that I rarely spent time with him.

I looked around the cafeteria and stopped according to someone who somehow looked calm to me even though his face was cold and flat. I don't know why, but my heart feels calm, and my heart beats fast. Those eyes seemed familiar to me, but I didn't know if they were real or just my feelings. I shook my head to shake off my rambling thoughts and broke eye contact.

Suddenly, Rafly came with a listless face and took Gladys' drink without permission. "Eh, my drink, Rafly..." Gladys growled stifled. Rafly paid no heed to Gladys and sat down with a languid face.

"What happened to Rafly?" asked Dion. Everyone shrugged their shoulders.

"Why are you here?" asked Regi.

Rafly took a deep breath and rubbed his face angrily. "Tsk, I was scolded by the lecturer."

"Seriously?! You die, hahaha..." Everyone laughed seeing Rafly's annoyance and I also laughed for a moment to relieve my burden.

"You are delighted for my suffering," grumbled Rafly.

"I have a friend, how come you're so stupid! You already know lecturers are killers, but instead you're looking for endless trouble!" Regi exasperated with hand movements that wanted to grab Rafly's hair.

It is true that there are many killer lecturers here, namely Aldo, Luis, Jay, and David. Their names seemed familiar to me, but every time I wanted to remember them, I never got what I expected. But only the excruciating pain in my head that I got plus the dream yesterday made me even more confused.

"Shhh... There's a lecturer here," said Okta suddenly.

Suddenly, everyone looked around the entire cafeteria and sure enough there was a killer lecturer who was currently looking at us. They sat at one of the cafeteria tables, which was a table away from us.

Again my eyes stopped in his shady eyes and again made my heart beat fast. I turned my gaze the other way. I feel scared now, don't I! Not afraid of him but I'm afraid of my feelings which somehow feel err... It's warm to see those shady eyes.

"Whatever! At the very least, our task will be added!" Everyone nodded with an annoyed grunt.

"Hm, BTW, did you get scolded by Mr. David?" asked Okta.

"Hm."

"Then, why is that again?" Regis asked.

"Heheh, during class, Aya was daydreaming, she was angry and pounded the table," I explained lazily.

"Aya... Aya, there's no end to you looking for trouble just like this mouse," Regi sneered as he hit the side of Rafly's head again.

You need to know that I am often scolded by lecturers whether it's for sleeping, daydreaming, chatting, being late or something else. And later I ended up going into their room.

"You're not bored, Aya goes in and out of the room for killer lecturers like them. Yes, I admit that they are very handsome, but unfortunately, they are cold to everyone," said Emely.

"In my opinion, the most handsome one in my eyes is still Mr. David," said Reva with sparkling eyes. Yes, Reva is a girl who likes handsome men, so don't be surprised if she is the most enthusiastic when it comes to the level of a man's handsomeness.

"Ishh... That's according to Reva..." I pouted while rolling my eyes lazily. We also ate our food solemnly. I didn't notice a pair of eyes staring at me intensely.

David POV.

I was in the campus cafeteria and looked at the girl's face from my desk. You can see changes in her facial expressions that are happy, sad, laughing and others. My heart feels calm every time I see her laugh, even though it's not with me. We were close, but she seemed too far away for me to reach.

"Wow, you've been daydreaming for a while. What are you looking at, Dav?" asked Aldo, which made me immediately look away from her.

"Tsk, what the hell, Al," I snapped.

"Indeed, Dav, you haven't changed, you're still cold," Jay said, to which I shrugged nonchalantly.

"BTW, I just got mad at Rafly," said Aldo.

"So, the child is looking for trouble again?" Jay asked, shaking his head.

"Yes, he was noisy at my class," Aldo replied.

"Tsk, the boy is not deterred."

Feeling bored, I got up from my seat and walked out of the cafeteria to go home because I had no more teaching hours.

"What are you doing to do, Dav?" asked Luis, who had been silent all this time.

"Go home."

I walked to my car, which was parked in the campus area. When I opened the car door, I saw she was with Vion, one of the students I knew was her boyfriend. My heart warms when I see the two of them together. I got into the car, slamming the door and drove at high speed. My mood suddenly messed up when I saw their togetherness.

When I got home, I was welcomed by my mother, Rina. "It just so happens that you're home, mom, and dad want to talk about something important," said mom Rina, smiling brightly.

I nodded as I walked over to the sofa my mom was sitting on. Not long after, my dad, Doni, came and joined us. "Look, Dav, dad and mom you have planned an arranged marriage for you and dad's best friend's child," explained dad Doni to the point.

"What's her name, dad?" The question just popped out without me realizing it.

"Her name is Kalya Aurellia the daughter of Mia and Vandi. You want to accept this matchmaking?" Doni asked.

Ba-thump!!

I didn't budge a bit because my mind was drifting to only one person, that girl who first melted me only in the first meeting that time.

"Aya, she goes to the college I teach, dad. You must know why I teach at that campus." I looked at my dad and mom, who were greeted with warm smiles by them. Well, at least they knew about it.

"Dad didn't think you were on the same campus as her." Dad Doni chuckled as did mom Rina

"You want to accept this matchmaking, don't you?" Mom Rina repeated the question from Dad Doni.
