Chapter 3 Lecturer Killer

A man dressed in a blue shirt with black pants was walking leisurely in the halls of one of the campuses. His sharp eyes scanned the surroundings where there were students passing by. His gaze was so serious, it made anyone who looked at him feel awkward. A cold and untouchable aura emanated from his body so that no one dared to speak to him.

The man is a lecturer in one of the existing courses. The clock on his wrist showed a few minutes to nine, which meant that his teaching time was about to start. He sped up his pace towards one of the classes, without heeding the blatantly adoring gazes of the female student.

He is indeed renowned for his killer lecturer who has a cold and indifferent attitude, he is David Francisco, a 25-year-old man. The class fell silent the moment he entered it. He stood in the center of the podium and began his discussion. The class aura that was previously noisy turned silent and stiff. The atmosphere turned tense with the arrival of David in the class. Some even swallowed their saliva because they were nervous about being under the pressure that made it difficult for all to breathe properly.

"Aya... Aya don't keep daydreaming, Mr. David will find out later."

He stopped his discussion when his ears faintly heard the whispers of one of his students. His gaze fell on the girl, who was propping up the side of her face facing the other way with a blank stare. One of her desk mates tried to wake her from her daydream because she realized the lecturer killer was approaching.

"Aya... That's Mr. David is here," her friend squeaked.

"Kalya Aurellia, do you intend to take my courses or not?" asked David in a cold voice and a very flat face without the slightest expression.

"....." There wasn't any movement or response from Aya.

BRAKK...

Everyone in the class jumped in surprise, including Aya when the lecturer pounded the table. A murderous look was given to Aya who was now looking at him with eyes bloodshot as if she had been crying. Whether he realizes it or not, there is a slight worried expression on David's flat face, but he cleverly covers it up.

"Next time, if you don't intend to take my classes, you don't have to go in!" he said as he returned to the podium.

"Aya what are you doing? Is there a problem?" asked Aya's friend Gladys.

Aya just shook her head in response and then looked ahead blankly. The lecturer's explanation also did not enter her brain at this time. Until finally the class ended and everyone left to go to the canteen.

"Aya, let's go to the cafeteria!"

Now they have gathered at one of the canteen tables consisting of herself, Gladys, Okta, Reva, Emely, Regi, and Dion. They were staring at Aya strangely because she wasn't usually silent.

As if understanding their gazes, Aya spoke up. "Aya's okay, don't worry."

They nodded, although still not satisfied with the answer.

"Aya."

Instantly everyone at Aya's desk hunted for the source of the voice, which turned out to be a man. He is Vion Giovanno, who has filled Aya's heart for the last 4 months. Aya immediately stood up to Vion and hugged him tightly.

"Hi! This is at cafeteria, Aya. Why are you suddenly hugging me?" asked Vion a little confused as he unraveled her embrace.

Vion was surprised when he realized that there were dark circles under his lover's eyes. He cupped Aya's face, that fit perfectly in his palm.

"What's the matter? Tell me about it," said Vion in a soft voice that made Aya's heart hurt even more. Because how could she accept her father's ridiculous matchmaking when her heart was already occupied by someone else.

"A-Aya..." Aya's words caught in her throat as her tongue felt numb to say something.

"You'll explain later. You calm yourself first, okay."

Vion led Aya to the table of Aya's friends who had also become his friends since Aya became his lover, although not very close. Vion looked at all of his friends, asking for an explanation of Aya's condition. But they all shrugged their shoulders, not knowing.

"Are you calm, Aya?" Vion asked while stroking the top of Aya's head, Aya just nodded in response.

"Want a story?" asked Vion again.

Instead of answering, Aya burst into Vion's arms which she thought was so warm. She cried again, spilling all her burdens with tears.

"Shhh.... already Aya, don't cry. If you want to avoid talking, it's okay, I don't force it," said Vion carefully while continuing to stroke Aya's flowing hair.

Aya stretched her arms as she felt more at ease. She looked up at Vion's shady eyes, which always warmed her mood. "A-Aya wants to talk to Vion," Aya said quietly.

"What story hm?" Vion asked attentively.

Aya took a deep breath, "Actually, Aya wants to-" Aya stopped when Vano suddenly stood up.

"Aya, You'll tell you the story later. I still have hours today, bye..." Vion left Aya frozen in her place.

Okta and Reva moved to sit on each side of Aya. Okta rested Aya's head on her shoulder, and Reva stroked Aya's back which was shaking again.

"Shhh... Vion has hours, so you don't have to cry any more okay, trust him," said Okta.

Aya just kept quiet while sobbing, in her heart she continued to wonder. "Why is it getting here, Vion stays away from Aya? Sob..."
