Chapter 5 Fiancée

On the way, Alina had already learned a lot about the Harfords.

"Kian's too weak. He can't even hold a press conference. What can he do in the future?"

"That's right. Fortunately, he didn't make any more mess than passing out."

"Otherwise, our family will be disgraced."

Inside the VIP ward, the Harfords had gathered together and talked.

Every word was like a sharp knife that fiercely pierced into Lilith Henry's heart, who was sitting beside Kian's hospital bed. If it were in the past, she would have snapped. But at the moment, her son Kian was the only person in this family that mattered to her.

Therefore, when these people spoke ill of her son in his ward, she had no choice but to put up with them silently.

Kian had already woken up. He was sitting back on the hospital bed, his lips and face ghastly pale. He looked out of place just by sitting there.

He was cold and aloof, as though he had seen through everything and decided that nothing mattered.

Apart from his relatives, there were also many executives of the company in the ward. Someone who didn't like to be under an ailing president, couldn't help but say.

"I think we should convene a meeting of the board of directors and get a new president as soon as possible. We can't afford the company being a joke in public."

As soon as he finished, the crowds were in high spirits. Most of the executives disliked Kian and they seconded his proposal.

"Yeah, see, there are many reporters outside waiting for an opportunity to make fun of us."

"Just once is bad enough. If this happens every day in the future, can the company hold up?"

"Mrs. Harford, what do you think?" The man who had proposed to replace the president stared at Kian's mother.

Lilith knew that this man was forcing her to make a decision. She didn't want to cave. But if she didn't go along with these people, who would protect her son?

Lilith was on the verge of despair.

The man placed his hand on Lilith's shoulder and threatened her.

"Face the reality."

However, the next second, the man was tossed away.

Alina's cold gaze swept over the people in the ward. She already knew what was going on.

Everyone stared confusedly at the woman who had popped out of nowhere.

"Who are you?"

"Me?" Alina smiled.

"I am Kian's fiancée. Don't you dare touch him on my watch!"

The man who had been thrown away by Alina rubbed his hand and looked at her in shock.

What did this woman just say, fiancée? She was Kian's fiancée?

Recently, he had heard some rumors that Kian was going to marry the daughter of the Haydons, a family that had declined, but the Miss Haydon he knew of was a star, and this woman sure wasn't her.

He peeked at the others in the ward, only to find that they were more confused than he was. Perhaps they didn't even know about the engagement between Kian and the Haydon girl.

Lilith was also shocked by the girl in front of her. She was born in a prestigious family and had been restrained by various etiquette since childhood. It was the first time she had met such a bold girl. Not only was she skilled in martial arts, but she also had the courage to call herself Kian's fiancée in front of so many people.

Moreover, Kian was sitting right there.

If her son were going to marry someone, there was no way that she didn't know about it. She had never met this girl before, and she was sure that her son didn't have a fiancée, at least not a fiancée that he had acknowledged.
