Chapter 3 This Person

He was too young to watch the bloody scene. She didn't want such a small kid to live with this.

Alina tossed her windbreaker onto the boy's head. She was wearing a tight skirt, which outlined her perfect figure.

Her movement was so charming that the men present couldn't turn their eyes away from her.

Facing the men who anxiously pounced over, Alina smiled lightly.

Before these people got near her body, Alina had already mercilessly kicked at their weak spots and dodged them.

No one had expected Alina to resist. These men immediately got angry and rushed over all at once.

However, taking care of these ordinary criminals was only a piece of cake to Alina.

In less than five minutes, Alina was the only one standing in the middle of the abandoned factory. The child was still sitting there, and the men? They had all been knocked down, lying on the ground.

Alina looked at the rope on the ground and smiled mischievously.

Ten minutes later, more than a dozen men were piled up. Then, Alina used the kidnapper's phone to call the police.

Alina took the windbreaker off the boy's head, and the boy still looked emotionless.

"Kid, don't tell anyone that you've seen me, understand?" Alina said as she untied him.

The boy nodded. Alina smiled and tore the tape off his lips.

"The police will come and get you soon. Don't run around, or you won't be able to get back to your family."

Alina did not intend to meddle in other people's affairs and specifically stay to babysit this boy.

"What's your name?" The boy's voice was clear and soft.

Alina put on her windbreaker and looked at the boy, who acted like an adult. With no intention to tell him her name, she waved and turned around, about to leave. However, the boy seemed to be persistent. Seeing that Alina was about to leave, he asked again.

"My name is Jacob Harford. What's your name?"

Alina looked back at him thoughtfully. Thinking that they would never meet each other again anyway, she decided that it wouldn't hurt to tell him.

"Alina Haydon." With that, she turned around, waved goodbye at him, and left.

As she left the abandoned factory, Alina caught a glimpse of the fleet of police cars and a large black SUV.

However, none of this had anything to do with her.

Alina called Tina and said with a smile.

"That's right. Do I sound like I've been hurt? I'll go to you right now, Your Majesty."

Alina stayed at Tina's house for five days, and every day, she would repeat the same routine.

Watching TV in the living room, eating at the dining table, and sleeping in the bedroom.

No matter how hard Tina had tried, she couldn't convince Alina to go out. "Alina, if you don't go out to stretch your legs, your legs will degenerate soon." These were Tina's exact words.

However, Alina continued to lie on the sofa and watch TV. On this day, Alina, dressed in her loungewear, aimlessly switched channels.

The phone rang and it was from a strange caller ID. She could guess who it was because, among the people who knew her phone number, only one person would call her at this moment.

Alina's leisure look suddenly became gloomy. She continued to switch channels with her right hand and picked up the phone with her left hand. As expected, Alina heard the same words she had been tired of listening to a long time ago.

After the person on the phone finished speaking, Alina sneered.

"Home? Are you sure you didn't dial the wrong number? I am an orphan. I have no family. Even if I did, they are already dead!" She didn't understand why they would have the nerve to claim to be her family and force her to do something in the name of the family after they had left her alone in Country L all these years!

Without waiting for a response, Alina continued.

"Who is my family? My great mother or great sisters? Well, they're indeed great." With that, Alina hung up the phone.

When the same number called her again, Alina blocked the call.
