Chapter 4 That's My Man

On the TV was a live broadcast of a new mobile phone launch conference. However, what had drawn Alina's attention was not the phone, but the man speaking on the stage.

The man, dressed in a high-end custom-made suit, had handsome facial features. His face was pale as though he was sick. And his waist was slimmer than a woman's!

Although he looked physically delicate, he had a powerful vibe when he spoke.

He made a wonderful view by just standing there.

The moment she saw this man, Alina no longer felt gloomy.

Her mind was fully occupied by the man's moves, which were so charming, despite that he looked so sickly.

It was him?

Just as Alina was pleasantly surprised, something happened at the press conference.

The man, who was making his speech, suddenly turned deathly pale and fell.

When Alina saw the man fall on the stage, her heart tightened.

What was wrong with him? Why did he faint out of the blue? What happened?

Alina racked her brain, wanting to know what was going on.

At that moment, Tina came out of the kitchen with a platter of freshly cut fruit. She placed the platter on the table and glanced at the TV.

Then, she said.

"Well, isn't this the ailing Mr. Kian?"

Hearing Tina's words, Alina jerked her head back. "Mr. Kian?"

"Uh-huh. The man who just fell on the stage is the third young master of the Harford family. It's not surprising that he fainted at the press conference." Tina curled her lips and continued.

"Kian Harford is the president of Harford Empire Group. He is decisive and resolute and cold. Words have it that he has offended many senior directors just after taking over the company. He was good at his job, capable, smart, and ruthless, but he is in poor health condition..."

When Alina heard the name "Kian Harford", her mind went blank, and she didn't hear what Tina said later.

Alina had returned to the country to cancel the engagement.

And the man she had been engaged with was named Kian Harford!

After learning that the man she was attracted to on TV was the same person who was engaged to her, Alina felt like she just got slapped in the face.

"Alina, since when do you care about other people's gossips, especially men's gossips?"

Tina winked at Alina.

Tina had never seen Alina show any interest in gossips, especially not the gossips about men in the business industry.

Alina unbuttoned her loungewear while walking to the bedroom to get changed.

After coming out, she heard Tina's words and smiled sweetly.

"He's not other people. He's my man!"

With that, Alina left with hesitation, leaving Tina behind in shock.

She drove a motorcycle. On her way downstairs, Alina had called her subordinate and asked him to run a background check on Kian and find out which hospital he had been sent to.

Along the way, Alina followed the GPS and arrived at the entrance of the hospital in less than half an hour.

There were a large group of journalists and photographers gathering outside. Obviously, they were here for Kian.

The president of Harford Empire Group had fainted at the press conference -- this was breaking news! Every reporter would want first-hand information about this.

Wearing a plain white T-shirt, short pants, her favorite windbreaker, and a mask, Alina walked into the hospital.

Having seen the mess outside the hospital, she wondered what was going on inside.
