Chapter 4 The Party

Seeing the elevator waiting, Dorcas scurried in. She was going to be late!

Dorcas glanced at the man in the elevator and was shocked by his aura of coldness. And only then did she found they were going to the same floor, so she just stood in the front of the elevator. Dorcas kept her distance from the man behind her. She paid much attention to her public image.

There was no one else there. They stood in the elevator, one in front and one in back.

Not long after, they arrived. Dorcas walked out, followed by Timothy.

The party was in a private room, which was the second one on the right. Dorcas pushed in. The last one who got to the party would be punished. And everyone asked Dorcas to drink as her punishment.

Timothy was surprised to see Dorcas going into the private room. But before he entered the room, he heard noises coming out. It sounded like that there were a lot of people!

Timothy had never liked noisy places. Just as he was hesitating, the door opened. A funny fat man with glasses walked out.

"Mr. Soper, why are you standing here? The director booked this private room for you." The fat man went forward to greet him.

The fat man was the assistant director. He had seen Timothy at a meeting about the investment of the film. Timothy's aura had impressed him.

"Oh, alright."

Timothy then followed him in. Well, it looked he couldn't leave now!

It was thoughtful of the director to book a private room for him. It must be Laura's work, no doubt about it. She had worked for Timothy for so many years. Of course, she knew his every habit.

Dorcas gave everyone an apologetic smile. Just as she was saying something, she was interrupted by sudden applause. Everyone quieted down and turned to look at the door.

"Guys, guys. May I introduce Mr. Timothy Soper, the CEO of the Soper Group! He is one of our investors. Welcome, Mr. Soper!"

Timothy Soper! When Dorcas heard this name, her heart skipped a beat. She thought of something that happened years ago.

Everyone else gave Timothy a warm welcome. They all wanted to have a look at their investors. Some women fell for Timothy right away.

Dorcas never expected she would meet Timothy. So he was the man in the elevator! The guilt came back to her. She didn't even have the nerve to look at him.

Timothy looked at the crowd, deadpan, just as usual. He stood straight behind the assistant director and enjoyed the welcome. Then he glanced over at the people at the party. At last, his gaze fell on Dorcas. But he looked away right away.

"They were right! Mr. Soper was handsome yet cold. He seemed hard to get close to."

"Do you know that he's still single?"

"Well, we should be confident! I think Mr. Soper was playing cool, and in fact, he must be excited to see us. After all, we are all so beautiful!"
