Several days later, a small media studio put the word out that the Soper Group had lost the important papers, and Timothy, as the CEO of the company, wanted to take the tender as his own. The news steered the company towards controversy. And Timothy became the talk of the town.

They were never able to find the thief out, so Timothy and his company were severely criticized. Some other companies tried to replace the Soper Group in the industry. But Timothy was no pushover. He saved his company from the brink of bankruptcy.

Dorcas saw the news on her phone. She also heard the talk of the situation of Timothy and his company. Therefore, for some time, Dorcas felt uneasy and guilty. Luckily, people were easily attracted to something newer and juicier. Everyone forgot it as time went by.

But it took Timothy a long while to get over this. He had been in a bad mood because of the news from some dishonest media.

One day, he went to his friend's nightclub after work to drown his sorrows. He got drunk, no doubt about it. When he woke up the next morning, he found he was sleeping with a strange woman. Timothy never expected that he would do that!

The woman's name was Maren Timmins. She went to the nightclub for a similar reason as Timothy's. They had sex during a blackout. When they left the hotel the next morning, they were like strangers, as if nothing had happened.

Timothy had thought that things would move on, but after a month, Maren called Timothy and said that she was pregnant.

Timothy sat alone in the office, pondering for the entire night. At last, he decided to keep the baby.

At the same time, Timothy promised Maren that if the paternity test showed that it was his child, he would marry Maren by then!

Nine months later, Maren gave birth to twins, but she died of a hemorrhage. The babies came out, as well as the results of the paternity test. Both babies were Timothy's!

Timothy then became a father of two...

Five years went by. Timothy had come out of the shadow and led the Soper Group to a new level. He also walked in the entertainment industry and produced some films and TV shows.

Dorcas was now a third-tier star in Starlight Entertainment Group. She was scouted in a mall because she was good-looking. Then she accepted the offer and signed the contract.

"Mr. Soper, there is a dinner party tonight for the last day of filming. You are invited as the representative of the investor."

Laura looked at Timothy. She thought Timothy would refuse the invitation because he always spent the time after work with his children. But Laura still had to let him know.

To Laura's surprise, Timothy thought for a little while and agreed. Then she went out to arrange the car for Timothy.

At noon, Flora Soper, Timothy's mother, called him and said she wished Ben and Ruby, who were Timothy's children, stay with her for the night. Timothy agreed and sent the children over. That was why he could go to the party.

When it was time to set off, Laura knocked on Timothy's door. Then he changed his clothes and left.

Although he was a father of two, he didn't lose his charisma. Some female employees in the company would make eyes at him, but he never looked back.

At the entrance of the Fragrance Hotel, a fancy car stopped. Timothy got out of the car in a gray suit. He put on a black coat. He looked sharp. He then looked at his watch and walked into the hotel.

As Timothy was waiting for the elevator, the sound that the stilettos make on the floor came into his ears. It was quiet in the lobby, so it sounded harsh, to which Timothy furrowed. He looked back at the hotel entrance.

A fair-skinned lady was trotting over, her long black hair hanging over her shoulders and swaying with her movements.

Timothy glanced at her and turned around. But something strange rose in his heart.

Right on cue, the elevator arrived, and Timothy walked in. But he didn't press the button. He was waiting for her!
