Chapter 3 Hospital

June entered the house and was surprised to see her mom in the living room.

"Mom,you're back!"she exclaimed.

"How was school,darling?"asked Vanessa,June's mother.

"Was fine,but what are u doing at home?"

"I was placed on night shift,so I'll be going back later."

"Oh!"

Vanessa was a nurse at the General Hospital.

"Where's Jane?"She's asked

"She's staying for cheerleading practice."

"I made lunch,you can check the kitchen when you're done fresh up."

"Okay?Will u be home then this week?"

"Nope" June nodded her head and left for her room upstairs.

Ten minutes later,she came down for lunch.

"I'll make a dash for the grocery.Gotta get few things."Vanessa said

"Uhmm,OK.Don't stay too long."

"I won't,byeee"

"Bye mom.Love you ."

"Love you too"

When she was done eating,June decided to go for a walk.She changed into a black leggings and a white tank top,with the words'Hot' inscribed on it.Even though she was not out spoken,she had great taste for fashion.She made her hair into cornrows before unlocking the door and walking out.

She stopped by a shop and went inside.

"Hi Andy,"She called out,smiling at him.He was 19 with a light tan skin.

"Hey Angel,"he said and kissed her cheeks.She and Andy were very good friends.

"How's it going?"he asked.

"Great.How's the store?"

"Going smooth."

"Uhmm"she nodded her head and looked round.

"You look cute by the way"he said and winked.

"Thanks"She blushed.

"Are you going somewhere?"He walked over to a stack of cartons and lifted one up.

"Just hanging out.No destination in mind."She replied.

"Where are your glasses?"

"Thought it was best to leave it behind."

"That's risky"

"I'll be fine."

"How's Jane by the way?Been a while I saw her."

"She's been busy tho.Cheerleading practice"

"Extend my regards to her"

"I will,I'll be on my way."

"Alright,take care."They hugged each other before she left.

June walked for about ten more minutes before arriving at the beach.She sat at and empty chair and closed her eyes.She. was feeling dizzy but she waved it off and relaxed herself.Ten minutes later, she decided to start her journey back home.The sun was still very high.She had been walking for some time when her vision started becoming hazy.She was also dizzy.Her head was spinning and there was no one in sight.She took another step and blacked out.

"Arrrgh...."Her head was aching her.

"June,you're awake."

"Mom?what am I doing here?"asked June looking round the room."Where am I?"she added.

"Calm down.You're at the hospital."

"What I'm I doing here?"

"You passed out."

"Passed out?What happened?"

"Seems like you were having difficulty seeing and so,u pasaed out."

"Who brought me here then?"

"A friend of yours."

"Friend?"

"Yep,"

"I have no friends.Male or female?"

"Male.He says he goes to your school."

"Where's he then?"

"He went to buy some snacks for you.He should be here any moment."

Few minutes later,the door opened and Simon came inside.June was shocked to see him.

"You?What are u doing here?"she asked

"Oh,He's the one who brought you here.

"How come?"

"I'll leave you guys to talk."Vanessa said.She said and left.

When she was gone,there was silence in the room.

"Hi,"Simon broke the silence.

"Hey,"

"How are u now?"he asked smiling

"I'm better."

"I bought you this."he said referring to the polythene bag he was holding.

"What's inside?"She asked

"Hamburger.I don't really know what you like so,I decided to ......."he trailed off.

"Its okay."She interrupted him and got the bag from him.

"Thank you."

He sat down on the edge of the bed and watched as she ate.
