Chapter 2 Brit Proposal

Brittany POV

" Brit when is your next flight? I am pretty busy this week sorry I cant meet you sis" Brit was stretching in her bed listening to her brother on the other line. She grumbles since her brother phone call basically disturbed her beauty sleep. Brit is a famous fashion designer so she pretty much take a serious care of her beauty regime. She will only wake up after exactly 8 hours of sleep. She is a light sleeper so a faint sound will definitely sent her jolt awake and Ryan definitely knows it too but he just want to tease her in the morning.

"OHMYGOD! Urghh can you stop!! I just landed here and you pick me up literally 6 hours ago. Can you please stop spoiling my mood You are so dead Ryan!! " Brit can hear her brother chuckles and she can hear a woman voice at the background. He must have pickup that chick in the club last night. Gross.

"Well good morning sis, I just want to remind you of our brunch at 1PM. I will pickup you up dont be late and no fancy dress please!" He ended the call. This guy is so annoying, he f***ing call me at 5AM for this? And now I cant sleep. She scrolled down the Instagram feeds to check if any updates on her page. Then she open her mailbox and saw aunt Andrea text yesterday. She suddenly feel anxious since aunt never text unless anything serious had happened.

"Brit dear her condition has worsen, doctor told us that she has mild depression. She fainted for the 14 times this week and yesterday she fainted in the tub while taking her bath. She almost drown dear. I am scared for her dear life. She begged Lea not to tell you but I am worried this take a huge tolls on her heart."

I almost slipped my phone from my finger. Clair has been nothing but my everything. She is my rock, She support me more than anyone in my life my parent included. She cheered me when I am down, she celebrated my success, she listened to rants and she save me. Yes she save me, once when we were 5 years old we were playing in the garden and a poisonous snake almost bit me but Clair saw it first she put her hands in fronts of me and the snake bit her instead. She was so brave and she dont even cry. She just hugged me and said "its ok Brit you are safe" before she losses her consciousness. She was brought to hospital and had to fight for her life that very night. I still remembered how Mr Derek still smile and comforted me while his daughter was getting treatment. Never did he blamed me and stopped me from seeing Clair after the incidents. That is how I promised myself I will protect Clair no matter what. Derek is gone, she need a plan to help Clair to move on.

Only the best for her besties. She dragged her feet to the toilet and take a bath, she just get a light snacks and started to work on her latest summer design. Her inspiration has alwayss been Clair all her work dedicated to her besties, the first piece of all her collection been given to Clair but nobody knows her Clair. Derek wants no exposure for Clair so he never has any social arrangment to introduce Clair. Only shareholders of Johnson's group knew about her.

It is 11 AM now, she quickly dialled aunt contact first. She know if she calls Clair that girl will attempt to lie to her and she's a terrible liar she got caught because she always stutter when she lie.

Her call was answered after the second ring

" hi aunt, how was it? Is she okay? Has she eaten? What the doctor said again?" She asked in one breath.

"Well hi dear, how was your flight?" Aunt chuckles. She just landed in country A from country B last night. It has been 4 days since leave country S.

" hurmm im fine I guess.. but that not important, how ia Clair aunt? She getting better?" She's getting agitated since aunt didnt answer her right away. Poor aunts its not her fault, this is the result of not enough sleep.

"She's stable, and yeah she just ate, Lea make sure of it. Well doctor asked her to take a holiday to distract her mind from thinking about Derek. But you know she's been here hee whole life, she never even had a chance to have a stroll in the park, Derek make sure of it. He sheltered her too much. Clair needs you, she need to learn about the world. Its time and I cant do that, Im too old and she trust you." I sighed, "I will figure out something for Clair, take care of her for me aunt." She ended the call, a frown formed on her forehead.I knew that I hated Derek protectiveness over Clair, he was a good man yes no doubt, but his way was not realistic and he knew that but refused to change. Yes its time. I will bring Clair to Country A, I have gotten a contract here I need to be here atleast for atleast 2 years. Going back and forth to country S and country A is not ideal. But I need a foolproof plan. Clair has medical needs to be taken care of. Her diet, her safety, and I cant do this alone. Unlike country S a small country, here in Country A, paparazzi is everywhere even her arrival to this country attracted media. Apart from a famous designer and CEO of Johnson Group, Brittany herself is a beautiful girl, a blonds hair girl with blue eyes, her fair skin and sexy body. She is definitely a goddess. But they havent seen Clair, even Brit felt inferior to Clair beauty and she always told her how pretty she is. She called her a modern snow white trapped in modern castle. She is a brunette with green eyes, a fair snow skin, her smiles can captures any man and she has a calm temperament. She is so innocent for the world. Anyone who see her would automatically want to protect her.

Brittany heard her alarm went off, she quickly went to her luggage to look for a sun dress for her brunch, once ready it is almost 1PM she knew Ryan will be here anytime, he is very much punctual yes and they both shares the same characteristics.

A text from Ryan came in " Im here baby sis come down" she just pickup her handbag and go out her hotel room to meet Ryan. Once she exit the hotel she saw him leaning against his black Bugatti La Voiture Noir. His latest sick addition of car collection. He was texting someone when she come to him, she just planted a light peck on his cheek and let herself in the car. Ryan follow led after her to the driver seat.

"Where are we going? I am famish." She stated looking at Ryan. "Well we are going to do brunch at Maison Pic Valence. But my friend Alex and Mateo will be joining us later, we have something to discuss over brunch. Yes and do not make that face, please sis" He knew I hated to associate with someone I barely know during family time. I consider brunch with Ryan as family time since he move to Country A because we barely sees each other. "Then take me to dinner tonight too" I started to bargain. I know he wont refuse me, I am his only sister and we both been so busy that we misses each other. He just smile and said "its a deal then"

Once we arrivethe waiter guide us to our seat where two gentlement has been seated there. I guess they are Mateo and Alex.

Ryan introduced me to his friend, Mateo is a director of a renowned hospital here while Alex is a businessman that deals with few business. Well I knew Alex from what I have been reading in forbes he is a billionaire and one of the hottest bachelor in the world. Only if he is not a playboy, totally not my type. Mateo is a funny guy, he is cute, yeah well handsome and has a very good muscles and fat propotioned. Dreamy I said to myself.

We ended our meal, I dont even say a word during the meal, just having my meal at my own sweet time and I miss Clair, she always sneaked behind her father to learn how to bake and cook. She is definitely gifted, her food is to die for and I am foodie for one, I have eaten from the most expensive hotel and nothing can compare to her cooking.

"Brit, Mateo will send you back to your hotel, I am sorry something came up so sudden" yeah my brother just dump me to his friend that I dont know of, handsome he is but well still a stranger. I just silently walk beside Mateo to his car.

"Brittany right? Sorry for this, are you okay with me sending you back?"

I just look at him and nodded.

"Well, I uh can I ask you something?" Suddenly thinking about my proposal I have the urge to get his help since Ryan is so busy for his sister and he seems like a trustworthy guy.

He just look at me and flash his 1000 watt smiles "yeah sure, hit me." He said lightly that earns a chuckles from me, I felt a flush crept on my cheek.

"Do you really own a hospital? I need to have a healthcare plan for my besties. I am trying to bring her here, a change of scenery. But I cant bring the whole medical team for her." Here I said it, I asked him straighforward.

"Well my family own the hospital, I am the director of one of their hospital in the city. Seems serious huh, just forward me her current

medical information and I can get it arrange for you per your needs." I am astonished, he just agreed to help me. My jaw are slightly open. He nudged me " Am I that awesome huh, close your mouth little girl" he just pat my head, opening car door for me.
