Chapter 4 Be my tutor

Blaire arrived at her apartment in the evening after she sent Amari home.

Blaire knows about Amari's family affairs. Amari is an illegitimate daughter and his father's real family doesn't know about her and her mother. Amari has been seeing his father for 2 years and his mother isn't aware about that.

That's why Amari was disappointed when she knew that she couldn't see his father for a while. She grew up without a father so it's normal for her to yearn for his father's love and affection now that she found him.

Blaire's thoughts was interrupted when she received a call from Daniel.

"[What's up]" Blaire welcomed when she accept the call.

"[I'm going to ask you a favor and I'm telling you, you can't say 'no'.]" Daniel said firmly.

Blaire's brows suddenly furrowed. Even if she's confused she still that she should agree since this is the first time that Daniel had asked her a favor.

"[Alright. Tell me what is it?]"

On the other side, Daniel's mouth curled up a smile. "[Be my tutor.]"

"[Tutor? Why me? We're not even in the same class.]" Blaire replied confusedly.

Daniel groaned. "[No more questions. It's final, you are now my tutor. Whatever problems we may encounter, we'll work it out. Amari even said that she'll tutor me too but only if we are on our class.]"

"[I think that's better. Just get Amari as your tutor and not me.]"

"[No, you don't get it. Amari will be my tutor at school and you'll be my tutor at home. Get it now?]" Daniel said straightforwardly.

Blaire was still confused but after connecting the dots, she get it at last. "[Okay, fine. Will I start tomorrow?]"

Daniel smiled happily. "[Yup! By the way, I'll pay you."

"[What? You don't need to. We're friends anyway.]" Blaire rejected it respectfully.

She thought it was unreasonable. Why would she let him pay when they are friends. Friends will naturally help each other without expecting anything in return.

"[No, I'll pay you. Instead of finding a new job, you will be my tutor instead. It's less hassle and more convenient.]"

Blaire sighed helplessly and answered. "[Alright. Thank you so much. I owe you one this time.]"

"[No. No, you don't owe me anything. We will both benefit from this so yeah, no one owe someone.]" Daniel said and laughed lightly.

"Thank you, I mean it. I hope your crush will crush you back." Blaire teased and laughed at her own joke.

Daniel was laughing heartily that he didn't even noticed that his little brother was beside him.

"Bye then. See you tomorrow." Daniel said and ended the phone call.

Just when Daniel is about to go to his room, he heard a little voice.

"Big brother, who are you talking to? One of your girlfriends?" His little brother, Darren, asked him.

Daniel's brow furrowed. "I'm talking to a friend. What one of my girlfriends are you talking about?"

Darren shrugged his shoulder and said. "You told me about it. Did you forget about it? You told me that when I grow up, I will have so many girlfriends because I'm handsome."

Daniel's eyes widened and immediately covered his little brother's mouth. DAMN IT! Good thing big brother Dylan is not here or else I'll be a dead meat, he thought.

Too bad, Dylan had already heard their conversation. Daniel and Darren was talking in the hallway causing Dylan to hear them.

"I think I have been going easy to you Daniel, you're even dragging your little brother to your nonsense thoughts and doings." Dylan said coldly and gave Daniel a death glare.

Daniel froze on the spot. Someone, please save me.

"Big brother, Darren was just joking when he said those words. I can't even remember that I have said things like that to him." Daniel said nervously.

Darren looked at Dylan pleadingly and it seems like he's saying to him that Daniel was lying.

Darren bit Daniel's hand that was covering his mouth and he ran towards Dylan's location. He stuck out his tongue to Daniel and immediately hid in Dylan's back.

"Ah! Big brother, my tutor session will start tomorrow." Daniel tried to change the topic and he prayed that his big brother will took the bait.

"Stop changing the topic. I'll let it slide this time. Stop teaching Darren to be a jerk." Dylan warned him.

Daniel cleared his throat and said. "Yes, big brother."
