Chapter 3 I'm so proud of you

After class, Daniel left the school and went to his brother's company to discuss about the tutor thing. Amari on the other hand went to where Blaire is.

"Miss Ruiz, can I have a moment with you?" Blaire's professor called out.

"Yes, Ma'am Bernardo. What is it?" Blaire said respectfully.

Mrs. Bernardo looked at her and smiled. "Since this is your last semester, you are one of the candidates for summa cum laude. I'm so proud of you, if your parents were still alive they might also say the same."

"Thank you very much, ma'am. It's just a shame that they passed away early." Blaire said and smiled faintly.

There are times when Blaire blames her parents because of the things she's going through. If her parents were still alive she wouldn't probably experienced to be bullied for being an orphan, she doesn't need to problem on how would she earn money, and most importantly she wouldn't need to begged people to accept her.

It's not her parents fault for being dead but it's just that she couldn't help but blame them for leaving her.

She had suffered so much so she's really dreaming a good life in the future.

"I know you had through so many things in your life and right now you're still trying to survive. If ever you need something don't hesitate to come to me, alright?" Mrs. Bernardo said and gently held Blaire's hand.

Blaire felt thankful. She doesn't only have Amira and Daniel but Mrs. Bernardo too.

"I will, ma'am."

Blaire left her classroom and went downstairs, that's when she saw Amari approaching her. She smiled and run towards Amari.

"You're alone? What about Daniel? I thought we're going to accompany you to your dad's house." Blaire said continuously.

Amari chuckled and said. "Daniel has a sudden appointment and we won't go to my dad's house for now. We have a new destination."

"What? Where?" Blaire asked confusedly.

"Alright, no more questions. Let's go!" Amari said and held Blaire's hand.

Blaire doesn't know where they are going but she still followed Amira. She doesn't have anything to go so might as well go with Amari, she thought.

"Tada! Here come and let's enjoy!" Amari said. She wanted to cheer Blaire up so she thought of bringing her to an arcade to play and forget of their problems even for a while.

"Arcade? Really?" Blaire mocked her.

Amari just rolled her eyes and spoke up. "Don't be a kill joy, come on! It's my treat!"

The two lady started playing games and the two of them enjoyed it to the fullest. Blaire's heart was filled with happiness and Amari's successful in making Blaire forget her problems for a while.

While playing there they were able to meet new people and friends. They feel like they are back on being a carefree teenagers though Blaire wasn't able to experience this when she was teenager for she is busy in making money to survive.

When both of them felt tired, they decided to stop and to go to a snack bar to eat. Of course they ordered the same snacks -French fries and sundae- they are not bestfriends for nothing after all.

While they are eating, Amari's phone started to ring.

Amari answered it and Blaire doesn't intend to eavesdrop so she just focused on eating.

Blaire's brows furrowed when she noticed that Amari is about to cry while she was talking. She couldn't help but worry to her. She waited until the phone call ended.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Blaire asked carefully and with concern.

Amari began to cry so Blaire didn't hesitate to hug and comfort her.

"Blaire... I... I am not allowed to v-visit d-dad for a while. His real family came back..." Amari continued in sobbing and Blaire was just comforting and listening to her.

Amari couldn't help but to feel sorry for herself.
