Prologue

Janis is a small-town girl that moved to the big city of New York to pursue her education in culinary arts at one of the best schools. She has little friends and no family here she gets very lonely until two men come into her life at the same time.

One man is everything she could ask for, but he has a secret that would tear them apart forever. The other man she becomes friends with but won't let it get any further because he always holds back, and she knows he is hiding something from her.

So, he becomes the biggest player of their school and breaks her heart in the process. Which man will she chose? And can she handle all the secrets and lies that they will bring into her life? One thing that is for sure is that Janis' life is about to change in a big way, and no one ever expected any of this to happen.

Will true love prevail, or will she be forever alone? Can a love survive when it's being built on secrets and lies? Will Janis ever be able to have a happy normal life now that these two guys have come into her life and turned it upside down?
