Chapter 5 Jared went Missing

Larry placed his hand on the small of my back, "There is a kitchen to the left. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a master bathroom. Two other rooms and a bathroom. The lower floor bathroom is over there and there is a laundry room in there too."

I looked around. "Wow it is like an apartment in a hotel." Larry smiled, "It is."

Bella walked over to me, "Why don't you go upstairs and get some rest. I will come get you when I have news for you." I smiled as I yawned, "I am exhausted." I turned to the stairs then looked back, "Thank you all that you have done." Heather gave me a slight smile, "Oh, you don' t have thank us. You are family. We protect our own." I smiled at her then continued to the bedroom.

I opened the door to the master room to a king size bed in front of a fireplace. I walked to the bathroom as I zipped the dress down to take it off and hung it up on the hanger to hang it up on the door hanger in the bathroom. I turned on the shower as I looked in the mirror, I ran my hands onto my stomach, "I promise you little one that daddy and I will protect you." I went into the shower and let the water run down my body. I washed up then turned off the water as I grabbed the towel.

I walked back into the room with the towel wrapped around my chest. I laid on the bed in an empty room when my phone started to ring with an unknown number. I answered it quickly thinking it was going to be Jared. "Jared!" The voice made me froze, "Sabrina, did you think I wouldn't find you?" My voice cracked, "What do you want? Danny." He laughed, "I heard congratulations are in order, but I wouldn't start celebrating so soon. You will be mine again then you will be finally screaming my name instead of Jared's".

I went to tell him off when Jared stormed into the room, "Give me the phone, Sunflower." I handed him the phone as I shook, "You come near her. I will end you. Stay away from her." He hung up the phone then threw it on the floor and slammed his foot on it as he looked at me, "I am getting you a new phone and number." I nodded as he sat next to me and held my hand, "I will not allow him around you. Larry agreed to be your bodyguard." I shook my head, "I wish he didn't have to be. Larry is a good man but all this trouble because of..." Jared stopped me from finishing my sentence, "This is not your fault. None of it."

He looked up at the ceiling, "Tim found out that Jessica's family is going bankrupt. They started to lose millions three years ago. She started to place herself into my life to try to save her family's business." I looked at him, "How did your brother find out." He chuckled, "He is in the private sector in homeland security. Plus, we are in with the upper class and they love to talk. One of our family friends called him when he showed at Joey's and gave him the load down on Jessica and her family." I shook my head, "Where is Joey going to stay?" He laughed, "He is going to stay here. There is no way that he is leaving his sister's side with everything going on. He is taking one of the extra rooms."

I nodded my head as he leaned his body into my side. "Why don't you get rest. I am going to go talk to the family." I laid down as Jared pulled the covers over me, "I will not be too long. How can I when I know that you are lying here with nothing on?" He reached under the blanket and gently pulled the towel out from underneath me then laid his lips onto mine.

Once he left the room, I fell asleep.

I started to open my eyes with the sun filling the room and Jared's body was entwined with mine. I softly kissed his lips as he opened one eye, "Sunflower?" I smiled, "Good morning." He smirked as he pulled me tighter into him locking his legs round me, "Every morning waking up next to you is a good morning." I blushed, "You always know the right thing to say to make a girl feel special." He chuckled, "Well when the girl is special, I know exactly what to say."

He leaned up and looked at the clock then threw his head on the pillow as he groaned, "I don't want to get up." I wiggled closer to him, "Then don't" He placed his hand on his forehead, "I wish I could stay here all day, but I have to get some work done and my mom would kill me if I kept you all to myself."

I giggled, "I am shocked she has stormed in here already." He laughed, "Give it a minute and she will be. I bet she is proudly on the phone right now with all her friends telling them all about us and the baby."

I sat up as Jared held on to my waist, "What if we don't wait?" He looked at me puzzled, "Wait for what?" I looked down at him as he grinned, "What if we don't wait to get married?" He jumped up to cover his body over me, "Please don't tease me. I will book a flight to Vegas right now if that is what you want. The whole family is here, and I can make this happen." I smiled, "I am not teasing. I am being serious."

He slammed his lips into mine, "Tomorrow?" I giggled, "The sooner the better." He jumped out of the bed, walked over to the closet, threw some clothes to me then he grabbed clothes from himself, "Get dress, we have a wedding to plan." I threw on the pants and shirt that he threw to me, "I thought my clothes were destroyed."

He looked at me and smiled, "I had my assistance get clothes in your size for you when we were in Vegas." I shook my head, "How did you know I would?" He walked over to me and placed his hands on my arms as he slid down when his hands reached mine, "I just knew we would be together. In that short time, I knew you are the one for me." He leaned towards me with his lips as he brushed them against mine leaving me breathless, "I fell in love with you the moment I saw you."

After getting dressed Jared and I headed down to the living room as the family waited there for us," Good, everyone is here." Joey looked up and Jared locked his fingers into mine, "What is going on?"

Jared smiled, "Well, Sabrina and I was talking. We both decided with everything going on that we don't want to wait to get married." Bella smiled, "How soon are we talking?" Jared pulled me into him, "Tomorrow night. We can fly to Vegas tonight." Heather looked at him, "Kind of smart. If you two take your time to plan it then we may have to deal with Jessica. But if you two just fly out to Vegas then she won't have a clue."

Robert paced the floor, "I hate to say but Heather has a point. We all do not want this woman screwing with what you two have. I will get the Vegas site ready and make sure the staff is tight-lipped. Joey and I will head out there now and get everything ready." Jared smiled, "Actually, I was thinking the family can head out there now. Joey and I have to handle some things here in Boston then we will meet you all there tonight." Robert nodded his head.

Joey walked over to me and gave me a hug as he whispered, "Are you sure you want to do this?" I nodded my head as I looked in his brown eyes, "It was my idea." He smiled at me then looked over to Jared, "I will support it then. I will see you in Vegas." Jared stood in front of me, "Larry will go with you to keep you safe. I will have your new phone ready before you leave."

I wrapped my arms around his neck, "Are sure that you can't come with us now." He chuckled as his arms went around my waist, "I wish I could, Sunflower. Joey and I have some things to handle then I promise tonight I am all yours." I winked at him, "I am going to keep you to that promise." He touched his lips against mine with a sweet kiss, "I know you will."

Couple of hours later I am standing at the airport with the family as I get a text on the new phone from Jared, "Have a safe flight, Sunflower. I will be counting down the minutes until I can really make you mine. My wife. Love you." I smiled as Heather tilted her head then let out a laugh, "You two are so cute." I chuckled as I texted him back, "Love you, too. Please hurry to me. I can't wait until I am in your arms. I promise to get something little sexy for your eyes only."

After a few minutes there was another text, "You are killing me right now. I need to be near you. I hate the fact that I can't be with you until later tonight." I smiled as I placed my phone in my pocket and got on the plane.

We arrived at the hotel when Robert received a call, "Joey?" He paused then said, "What do you mean he is missing?" I looked at Robert when my heart dropped and Heather came to my side as he continued, "I will fuel up the jet and will be back in Boston with Tim." He shook his head as his eyes filled with tears, "We will find him, or he will find his way here. He is about to marry the women of his dreams. I don't believe that he just ran off without a word."

He snarled, "Stay at the hotel as if nothing is wrong. As far as anyone knows Jared is on a business trip. Tim and I will be wheels up in about an hour." Robert hung up as Bella held on to him, "Tell me that our son is okay." He held his head up, "Knowing him he is. Don't worry dear. We will find him. We will bring him home to his Sunflower and us." He reached his hand out to touch my stomach, "We will find and bring your daddy home little one."

Tim and Robert left to head back to Boston as Bella and Heather took me to the local shops around the strip. We were in a dress shop as I tried on a wedding dress. I came out of the dressing room then walked up to the mirror as I looked down, "You think they will find him?"

Bella looked down as she teared up, "Jared will make it home. He will fight to get back to you." I took a deep breath in as I started to feel faint, "I am not feeling so good." Bella and Heather ran up to me and caught me before I went down. "Mom, go get help now!"

What seemed like minutes I moaned then heard Jared's voice, "Sunflower, I am here, babe. I am here." I slowly opened my eyes; I still have the dress that I tried on at the shop. I blinked my eyes, "Please tell me I am not dreaming." He laughed, "No, Sunshine. It is not a dream. I am really here." I looked at his face that now had a black and blue and swollen lip, I lifted up as my head started to hurt as I squeezed my eyes shut, "Don't. Lay back down."

He placed his hand on my stomach as he started to rub, "The doctor wants you to rest." I looked at him with sadness in my eyes, "What happened?" He looked up at the ceiling, "Couple guys jumped me outside the hotel. The next thing I knew I was in an abandoned building. Tim and my dad found me then told me that you fainted. I had to get back to you."

He leaned down and gave me a kiss. "I just got here about twenty minutes ago. I couldn't leave your side." I looked down at the dress, "They left the dress on." He chuckled, "The dress shop told them to leave it on. They were worried about you. "I contacted them when I got here. I paid for the dress and they were happy to hear that you are okay."

He leaned over again as he brushed his lips against mine, "I thought of you the whole time. I knew that I had to get back to you."

I wrapped my arms around his neck, "Don't leave me again." He smiled, "I am not planning on it. You are stuck with me for the rest of our lives." I let go of his neck as he clawed into the bed next to me and wrapped himself around me, "Jared, you are going while the dress."

He chuckled, "My sister went back to the shop and found a dress that would look perfect on you. She said it was one the ones you were eyeballing but said it was too expensive." I rolled my eyes, "she didn't" He shrugged his shoulders, "I had no say in it. My mom and sister paid for it."

I rolled my eyes again, "Did you see it?" He laughed, "I would seek a peek, but I am afraid I would be a dead man due to my sister's hands." I rolled on to my side so I could lay my head on his chest. "What did the doctor say about what happened?" He sighed, "Stress. Me going missing caused you to get his anxiety and your body just shut down to protect itself." He leaned forward and landed a kiss on top of my head. I fell back to sleep on Jared's chest and in the dress that I fainted in.
