Chapter 3 Mom... Dad...

Jared walked up to the reception, "Joey and I are going to grab my stuff from my room. You can place the room back up for a guest. Please keep an eye on my sunflower to make sure that Jessica doesn't bother her."

The staff member smiled, "If she goes near your sunflower, I will personally beat her ass." Jared threw his head back in a laugh, "Jill, I am giving you a raise." She smiled at him, "Just doing my job." Jared and Joey walked up to his room to collect his things.

Jill looked at me, "If you would like there is a seat here." I smiled at her, "Thank you. I think that is a great idea." I sat next to her as she smiled, "I was pregnant once. So, I know. Then you had to deal with the evil witch. UGH. I am so glad that Jared is not with her anymore. He is so much better than her."

I looked down, "How long were they together?" She laughed, "Not long. It was like two months. She tried to stake her claim in him, but he wasn't interested in her to that level." She chuckled, "I was here when he broke it off with her. She was sleeping with some rich guy and Jared walked on it. She came down asking him to marry her and he laughed in her face as he walked out of her life."

I looked at her in shock, "Wow, she sounds crazy." Jill smiled, "Yup. She thinks she is better than everyone because she has money. Jared never treated anyone like that. He is kind and is understandable. He even took over the front when I had to run home to a sick baby." He is really a good guy, that is a good boss.

I smiled, "He is a great guy." She looked at me and smiled, "I can tell how much he loves you." I looked at her, "You think he loves me." She giggled, "That man is deeply in love with you."

Jill stood up as Jared and Joey entered the lobby with Jared's bags, "I will be right back then we will head off to Joey's." He sat his bags next to me as he disappeared into his office. Joey kneeled down next to me, "How are you feeling?"

I looked at him, "Tried and hungry." He laughed, "I bet. You have gone through a lot today. Don't worry Uncle Joey got you little one. I will make sure your mommy eats." I looked up as Jill smiled at Joey, "You are going to be a great uncle."

Joey smiled back at her, "Thank you Jill. Do me a favor? Keep tabs on Jessica, make sure that she doesn't cause trouble for any of the staff." She smiled, "You know me. There is a reason why that woman hates me." Joey laughed as Jared came out of the office, "I am ready to go."

Joey got up and said, "First thing, first. We are going out to eat. Someone is hungry." Jared walked over to me and kneel down, "Of course." He leaned to me and landed a kiss on my stomach then got up then kissed my lips, "You ready, Sunflower."

We pulled up the restaurant as Joey got a text from Jill, "Jessica is on the warpath trying to find out about Sabrina." Jared rolled his eyes, "You would think she would take the hint. I much better danced Sabrina in front of her and she still thinks that she has a claim in me."

I shook my head as we entered the restaurant, "Let's not allow her to ruin our night." Jared pulled me into him as we waited for the hostess, "I second that." He gave me a kiss on the forehead. We walked to the table with the hostess.

I sat down at the table as Jared sat next to me when his phone rings, "I am so sorry. I have to answer this." He placed the phone to his ear, "Hi Mom." Joey laughed, "This is going to be interesting." I raised my eyebrow as Jared continued his conversation, "I know it is last minute, but this is really important." He looked around, "Mom, where are you that you know I have a woman sitting with me."

Wait, where is his mother that she knows that he has anyone sitting with him.

I looked at the menu as a woman's voice came from behind Jared's back, "I am behind you." I looked and there was an older woman and man standing behind us. "Mom... Dad... What are you doing here?"

Jared got up from the table and gave them a hug, "Mom... Dad... I want you to meet Sabrina and you remember Joey." I held out my hand and the man looked at me, "We have met before. At the hotel."

I smiled, "Yes, I was working on the website for Joey." He smiled, "That came out beautiful. You got a good eye for that stuff." Jared smiled, "Why don't you guys join us? We were about to order soon."

Jared sat back next to me; Jared's mother sat next to Joey as Jared's father sat next to her. "I have to ask Jared, what is so important that we all have to be at this dinner? I mean we already know about Joey's promotion; we've been talking about that for months now."

Joey looked at her and smiled, "Bella, I am hurt that you didn't call me." She smack his arm, "You know I would have if these two didn't keep me from the phone." Jared and his father cracked up laughing. Jared's father looked at Jared, "It has to do with the two love birds sitting in front of us, dear."

Jared smiled as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder. Bella looked at us, "Wait, this is the Sabrina." Jared smiled, "It is." I looked at Jared and smiled as she stared at me as the waitress came to get our orders.

I ordered a cheeseburger with fries when I said, "Oh, can get extra pickles?" I gave the waitress my menu as Jared looked at me with a smile when I noticed his father and mother smiled at me, also, "What?" Bella looked at her husband, "Robert, When I was eating for two did, I really eat for two." Robert placed his arm around Bella, "Yup, I never had the heart to tell you."

Jared and Joey started to laugh as I sat confused, "Did I miss something?" Bella leaned forward, "How far along?" I looked at Jared as he smiled and placed his hand on my stomach, "About five weeks."

I looked at Bella, "How did you know?" She smiled, "Honey, I have three kids. I know the glow and the cravings." Robert reached over the table to Jared's arm, "Congratulations, son." Jared smiled, "Thank you, dad." Robert looked at me and gave me a hug smile, "And welcome to the family Sabrina."

Bella looked at Jared, "So, I heard Jessica is in town." I groaned as Jared laughed, "I told her to go home and she doesn't seem to catch a clue." Bella shook her head, "I knew there was a reason why I didn't like that girl." Robert patted his wife's hand, "We will make sure she doesn't harass our son and Sabrina."

Jared smiled, "Thanks dad. I don't want to place any more stress on Sabrina then there already has been." Robert nodded his head, "I am guessing this dinner is to announce Joey's promotion and Sabrina's pregnancy." Jared smiled, "I am hoping I can add one more announcement." I looked at Jared, "What is that?" He cleared his throat and Bella grabbed her husband's arm and Joey smiled at me.

Jared stood up as he grabbed my hand. He pulled me out of the booth then went down on one knee. I shook my head at him. He took a box from his pocket, "Sunflower, I know it has only been a short time that we have known each other, However I feel like I have known you my whole life. I want to scream on the rooftop that I love you. When I found out that you were pregnant, I knew it was fate telling me to make the jump. I am not asking you to marry me tomorrow or a month from now." He paused.

"We can take our time with our engagement, as long as you want. I know I still have to prove a lot to you, but can you place your faith in me and say that one day you will make me the happiest man in the world and marry me."

He opened the box to show me the ring as I looked at Joey and Jared's parents. Joey nodded his head as Bella and Robert smiled. "Jared, I will marry you." He placed the ring on my finger then he jumped up and wrapped his arms around me. He pulled me into him, "I love you, Sunflower." I smiled as we heard the restaurant roar with claps, "I love you, too." He gave me a kiss.

We sat back down as I gave Joey the stink eye, "You knew about this." The table broke out in a laugh as Joey nodded, "Of course I knew. He asked if he could ask you and I told him yes."

I crossed my arms at him, "Oh don't be upset with Joey. He had to keep it a secret, how else would I get to see the sweet look on your face when you realized what I was doing?" Jared took me into him and kissed me on my temple. Joey laughed, "She's going to give you a run for your money."

Jared nodded his head, "Boy do I know." Bella laughed, "It is about time he found someone that can do that." I smiled at her as Robert smacked his hands together, "Your brother and sister are arriving tomorrow morning then the rest of the family will be here by early afternoon."

Joey nodded, "Already have them set up for rooms when they arrive. The ballroom will be set up by five and be ready for eight in the evening. We have no check ins or outs so all staff will be able to attend." Jared smiled, "

We finished dinner as we said goodbye to Jared's parents as Bella gave me a hug, "Jared will make sure you have my number. If there is anything you need. Call me." I nodded as Jared held the door open for me, I slid in as Jared gave his mom a kiss on her cheek, "I will see you two tomorrow."

She giggled, "Oh, Sabrina, I will see you in the morning. You and I are going to go shopping." Jared smiled as I blushed. Jared got into the car after shaking his father's hand. I took a deep breath as Jared placed his arm around my waist and pulled me into him. I laid my head down on his shoulder as I closed my eyes. He hung up as I ate my breakfast and Joey joined us at the table, "Your sister is coming with your mother." Jared smiled, "She is. Do you need to go freshen up there, Joey?" I laughed as it dawned on me, "Wait, is this the Heather that you were talking about the last time I was able to visit you."
