Chapter 6 Be My Mommy!

Sophia fiercely fished out a few hundred dollars from her pocket and reluctantly handed it to Vincent Xiao, telling him, "Sir, this is all the money I have now. Other than that, the only precious thing left of me is myself." She forced herself to look a little tearful in front of him. "Believe me, I do not have anything else to give you."

Standing close to him, Daniel broke in and grinned goofily, "My bro is not short of money..." Sophia was taken aback. She shot both men with a look of confusion and concern. "What? Mr. Daniel, are you kidding me?" She stammered, "I, I am sure that someone like me is not the type that is worthy of Mr. Xiao's time. Please don't joke around like that. I really want to pay back Mr. Xiao, and I will, but not this way. If you don't mind, I can make an IOU for now. Once I find a job, make money, and save enough, I promise to repay Mr. Xiao double the amount. What do you think?" She looked at them a little pleadingly, silently praying that they would agree to her condition.

Daniel looked at Vincent, waiting for a response. Noticing the way that his bro, who had the reputation of being indifferent and stony, had been looking at Sophia, he could only smile to himself, and ask the apple of his bro's eyes, "Miss Sophia is looking for a job? Aren't you signed as an actress under the Colorful Entertainment Company?"

Seeing how enthusiastic the lady before them had become, Daniel playfully shoved Vincent towards her, and told Sophia, "Miss Sophia, are you interested in the position of becoming the wife of the Xiao Group's CEO?"

"Auntie Sophia, my daddy is loyal, and a gentleman. Can you be my mommy?" Little Jimmy also tried his best to persuade Sophia, his round eyes peering cutely at her. His soft small hands held Sophia's, then he suddenly started to throw a tantrum.

Her heart softened as she caressed little Jimmy's face gently; then she replied, "It's a private matter, honey. I can't tell you."
