Chapter 10 Quarreling At Supper

Seeing the childish behavior of Harris, Belle was shocked.

'It was said that the president of the N Group was an elegant gentleman. He must be a very mature man at first thought. How could he be as so childish as I saw?

Sure enough, the rumor was just fake. It was really untrustworthy.' Belle thought in her heart.

Harris looked down at his watch and said in a low voice, "Well, the time is almost up. We are going back to the Ning family. Remember what you promised me just now."

"I know. You are a bit wordy" Belle said, rolling her eyes and waving her hand.

Belle walked to the door of the coffee shop. At the same time, Harris and Belle said, "I'm going to get the car."

The air suddenly became quiet. The two looked at each other.

Finally, Harris broke the silence.

"Why didn't you tell me that you were going out today?"

Belle was confused and thought, 'It's none of your business if I go out.' She said perfunctorily, "I went out to meet a friend today, so I didn't have time to greet you."

"Then which car did you drive?" Harris asked.

"Okay." Belle agreed.

Harris went to the parking lot to pick up the car, while Belle was waiting for him at the door of the coffee shop.

Belle had to sit on the co-pilot helplessly.

Seeing that Belle had discovered him, Harris had an idea and fastened the safety belt for Belle on the right.

"You are back." Hogan said kindly.

Harris replied softly.

"Mr. Hogan, dinner is ready. Please have dinner." The servant said to Hogan at the right time.

Hogan took a deep look at Belle and said to Harris, "Let's go to have dinner."

At the dinner table, Hogan sat at the main seat. On one side sat Hogan's wife, Mrs. Kaley, Harris's father Saul Ning and Harris's mother Rose Chen, and on the other side sat Harris and Belle.

Seeing that everyone was lowering their heads to eat, Belle had to brace herself and eat silently. Belle even dared to eat only two dishes in front of her.

The atmosphere became awkward.

Finally, Hogan spoke first to break the silence.

"Today is the second day of your marriage. You two should have come to serve a cup of tea to us this morning. But Harris said that Belle is not feeling well, so we don't need to do that. However, our Ning family is a big family after all. Although I don't like you Belle, since you have already had a great grandson of our Ning family, our Ning family has no choice but to marry you."

According to Belle's personality, she would have slammed the table and left if she heard these words. But now, things had changed. People have to obey in front of trouble.

Belle was so angry that she couldn't control her anger anymore. It was feeling that once Harris said one more again that Belle was about to fight with him.

"Well, I think you two want to destroy the Ning family. Is there any peace in the family?" Saul, Harris's father, finally couldn't help but speak.
