Chapter 5 Why Did You Leave

"Sorry, I can't find it! But! I really didn't do it!" With her head down, Joyce said softly. She felt the floor was shaking and her stomach was aching.

"It's no use apologizing to me. No one will believe you if you can't find evidence." Leo replied coldly.

"Hey..."

Joyce heaved a sigh with resignation. She might be done. If the reason why she was employed by the company was that she sold her design draft, she couldn't work in the jewelry industry anymore.

"But I have found evidence to prove that you are innocent."

As soon as Leo finished his words, Joyce suddenly raised her head and looked at him in surprise, "Are you serious? That's great!"

"I didn't say I would help you." The expression on Leo's face didn't change at all.

"Why? Why?" Joyce looked at him, pale faced. Her eyes were filled with sadness and the discomfort in her stomach was getting worse.

"Why?" With a complicated emotion, Leo stared at Joyce and said, "I also want to know why you abandoned me for money that year."

Joyce stiffened and looked at Leo in surprise, 'Did he remember everything?'

"What? Speechless? You took my mother's money and broke up with me, didn't you? And now you are pretending not to know me? Joyce, good for you!" At first, Leo didn't believe what Tracy said. But now, Joyce's reaction told him that everything was true!

Back then, when Tracy disagreed that he was in a relationship with Joyce, she gave a large sum of money to Joyce and let her leave Leo. However, the result was that Joyce really left. While Leo had a car accident in the process of chasing her, resulting in losing his memory. When he was in hospital after the car accident, Joyce did not even pay a visit to him!

"Did your mother tell you this?" Joyce asked in a trembling voice, her eyes staring at Leo's eyes, from which she could clearly see the injury.

"I am asking you this question, not to answer me back!" Annoyed, Leo tossed the wine glass on the deck.

"Ah!"

The glass was smashed on the deck. Joyce was shocked, covered her ears and screamed. The cruise ship shook with the shaking. Joyce leaned against the desk beside her with her pale face and looked at Leo with pain.

"I haven't taken any money, either before or now!" Joyce said word by word.

"You didn't get the money? Then why do you leave me? Or you have never loved me? Or why didn't you come to see me when I had a car accident and nearly died in the hospital?" Leo stepped forward, grabbed Joyce and pulled her in front of him and forced her to answer.

"I don't know. I don't know you had a car accident at all! I didn't know you were amnesia until I met you again that day." Joyce raised her head and choked back her tears.

"Then why don't you admit me? And why do you pretend not to know me?" Leo stared hard at her eyes.

"Because your mother said that I didn't deserve you! I don't deserve to be your daughter-in-law. Let me go! Are you satisfied?" Joyce burst into tears and trembled all over her body.

Looking at Joyce whose face was covered with tears, Leo felt the pain he was familiar with. He took a deep breath, stared at Joyce's lip and kissed her hard.

He didn't recover his memory. But a strong desire deep in his heart forced him to hold Joyce in his arms and kiss her hard.

"Wow! ! Wow! ! ! My God! ! !"

"Joyce! ! ! !"

Accompanied by Leo's roar and the sound of vomiting, Henry and Serena, who had been hiding behind the deck, finally rushed out.

"She fainted on boat! You'd better get her some seagulls!" Serena glanced at Leo, who was vomiting all over, and tried her best not to laugh. She asked Henry to take some boat sick medicine.

Henry didn't want to give Leo's face at all. He leaned on the railing and laughed, back and forth. He only knew that he could do nothing but keep waving his hand, especially when he saw the swarthy face of Leo.

"Go away!"

Leo gave a fierce look at Henry and lifted up Joyce whose face turned blue from her chest, then walked into the ship cabin with a cold expression.

There was a burst of laughter coming from his back. Of course it was from Serena.

Joyce took some dizziness pills and stopped vomiting. She lay on the bed with a pale face and watched Leo wipe her face with the towel. She couldn't help but take the towel from Leo's hand.

"Well, why don't you go change your clothes?" Said Joyce reluctantly.

"I didn't detest them all, how could you?" Leo stared at her coldly.

"Of course not. I'm just afraid that you are not comfortable. Besides, the smell is really unpleasant." Joyce said seriously with her eyes wide open.

Hearing this, Leo was silent for a moment. He stood up, took off his clothes and threw it aside. Then he looked at Joyce seriously and said, "Clean it and give it back to me quickly." Then he turned around and prepared to leave.

"Wait!" Seeing this, Joyce quickly sat up. 'Things hadn't been settled yet! I couldn't just stay in the boat for a short while, vomited and then left?'

Upon hearing this, Leo stopped and turned around, raising his eyebrows.

"I...Can you help me with the design?" Joyce took a deep breath and said.

"Why should I help you? What's the relationship between you and me?" After saying that, Leo turned around, wrapped his arms around his chest, and looked at her playfully.

Joyce sighed. She lowered her head sadly and said in a low voice, "never mind, just forget it."

Just when Joyce was about to give up, Leo walked over and sat beside her.

"Move in with me and keep me company until I recall all my lost memories. I will help you if you can."

"What? Move in your house? Will your mother kill me?" Joyce raised her head surprisingly and looked at him awkwardly. 'To be honest, I had slept with you before, so it didn't matter to move into your house. The most important thing was to keep my job.'

Upon hearing this, Leo rolled his eyes and said with contempt, "I wasn't born yesterday? I've been living alone for a long time! Besides, your brother is still a college student? If you lose your job, who will give him money to go to such an expensive art school?"

Joyce clenched her teeth. Of course she knew! This was the main reason why she insisted on asking him to help her clarify. She wouldn't have asked Leo if it wasn't for her brother.

"I can move into your house, but your mother..." Joyce said and shrank her neck. She was well aware of what kind of person Tracy was.

"Haven't you been driven away by her once? Are you afraid of a second time?" Raising his eyebrows, Leo said in a pretended surprised tone.

"Yes, it's true. Anyway, I have taken her money once. It doesn't matter if I accept it again, right?" Joyce rolled her eyes and said sarcastically.
