Chapter 9 The Boyfriend

Irene went to Aaron with a flushed face. "Wait. What are you doing here? Why did you come in?"

Aaron smiled at her. "You told me it wouldn't take you long. But forty minutes have passed. I thought you ran into some trouble so I came in to help you. But it doesn't seem like the time is right."

"Well... I'm not done yet. Can you wait for me at the gate of the university for a bit more?" Irene tried to smile, revealing her canine teeth and dimples.

She didn't want Aaron to see her embarrassed. He showed up way too early.

Aaron lifted his hand to gently rub her hair. He then sifted his hand through her hair and whispered, "Okay, I'll leave now."

"Wait!"

Before Aaron could even take a step away, Helen rushed towards them. Her eyes were narrowed at him, sweeping a look from his head to his foot.

She grinned suddenly and patted Irene on her shoulder. "Irene, who is this handsome man? Why don't you introduce me to him? Don't worry, I won't take him from you. I know I'm prettier than you but I promise I won't tempt any other girl's man to love me."

Helen shot a look at Olivia after her words, to which Olivia only responded with a roll of her eyes.

"He is... He is..."

Irene didn't know how to start her introduction. Seeing how Irene was struggling, Aaron caught her and said, "My name's Aaron Zhao and I'm Irene's..."

"Boyfriend!" Irene cut him off before he could say what they really were to each other. Would Aaron get mad at her for doing so?

She peeked a look at him and saw that his expression did not change. That made her sigh in relief.

"Boyfriend?" Helen emphasized the word. She saw Jonny's face freeze in surprise before she grinned mischievously. "Irene, you just dumped a trash of a man for a handsome man? Excellent growth!"

"Come on, Helen. We still have to pack our bags. We need to leave the dorm the day after tomorrow."

"Wait a minute! But we have so many things to pack. Why don't we ask for free labor? Hey, handsome man. Do you mind helping us with our packing?"

Aaron turned his gentle smile at Helen. "Of course not."

"Perfect! Let's go then. The dorm supervisor knows me so she will let you into our dorm with no problem."

Helen held Irene's hand while Irene held Aaron's hand. Together, they were a mismatched line swaggering into the dorm.

Jonny's eyes followed Irene's figure. At his side, Olivia tugged at his arm impatiently. "They've gone upstairs. Stop looking at them. Besides, even if you go and follow her now, it's useless. She won't accept you now. Irene's current boyfriend looks more handsome than you."

Jonny shook off Olivia's hold on his arm and impatiently said, "If you think I'm not handsome enough, then go date someone else!"

"Jonny, I don't mean that. I just want you to realize that Irene has moved on from you a day after you broke up with her. Do you really think she was only dating you?"

"I know what kind of person she is. Stop corrupting me with your malice."

Jonny was starting to lose his patience with Olivia. He turned and left her alone.

Sometimes, Olivia's sharp words and overbearing attitude suffocated him.

If only Irene hadn't caught him kissing Olivia, he wouldn't have been forced to break up with her.

Irene was a good person. She was the perfect girl and he had lost his chance with her.

Aaron was taken aback by the scene in Irene's dorm. There were pots and pans everywhere. Underwear were all over the place. A pile of snacks scattered all over a desk. Some food must have expired because of the smell.

Irene felt embarrassed at the riot that was in their room. Quickly, she began randomly stuffing her clothes into her suitcase. She really hoped her mess would not be reason enough for Aaron to divorce her.

It wasn't because she already loved this man. But she had been dumped not even a day ago. She couldn't take another rejection. It would be too embarrassing.

She bent down, and a part of her back revealed as her shirt hiked up. Her smooth skin was in front of his eyes. She had a finely shaped ass that could tempt any hot-blooded man. And he was one. Time would only tell how long Aaron could hold back before something happened between them.
