Chapter 4 Collision of wolves

The forest trembled under the weight of two Alpha presences. Every tree seemed to lean closer, every shadow quivering as if anticipating the storm about to erupt.

Ryker's claws dug into the dirt. His body was taut with fight-or flight. And yet, every fiber of him screamed to stay.

Kael moved like a predator on the hunt, circling him slowly. "You think you can resist me, Ryker?" His voice was low, smooth, dangerous. "You're only delaying the inevitable."

Ryker growled, forcing himself to appear defiant. "I'll never submit."

Kael's lips curved into a slow, knowing smile. "Submit? No. You'll merge. Bond. Become what you were always meant to be."

Their eyes locked, two storms clashing in the dark. Ryker could feel the pull of Kael's power against his own-the raw, primal energy that threatened to shatter him from the inside out.

Then Kael lunged-not with claws, but with speed that made Ryker stagger back. He caught Ryker by the shoulders, holding him firm. "You cannot fight destiny, Ryker. Not me. Not yourself."

Ryker's breath came in short, ragged bursts. "I... I won't... let... you-"

Kael silenced him with a sharp kiss-fierce, claiming, and yet tempered with a strange tenderness. Ryker's fangs itched, his claws itched, but his heart... his heart was lost.

"You feel it," Kael murmured against his lips. "The hunger. The bond. The fire we can't deny."

Ryker trembled, torn between fear and desire. "This... this is wrong."

Kael's hands slid down to his waist, pulling him closer. "Wrong? No. The world doesn't get to dictate what we are to each other. Only the bond does. Only we do."

A growl escaped Ryker, deep and guttural-a warning, a plea, a surrender all at once.

Kael grinned, eyes alight with the promise of chaos. "Good. Then accept it."

And in that moment, the forest seemed to explode around them-the wind howled, the shadows danced, and two Alpha hearts collided, sparking a bond neither could resist.

Ryker's last thought before the world narrowed down to Kael's dark eyes and his burning touch: maybe some rules were made to be broken.

Because the Alpha he was meant to kill... had already claimed his soul.
