"I need you ladies to rush whatever you're doing! We can't keep moving at a slow pace! The ceremony has already started, and the bride will be called anytime now!", The wedding coordinator barged into the dressing room to hurry everyone up.

While the whole room was looking chaotic just to make me look beautiful for my wedding, I felt a sense of emptiness.

I didn't know how long I was going to suffer in life. Sometimes I wonder if the Moon Goddess was actually watching me get punished for something I didn't do.

A wedding was something every girl dreamt to do in a fancy hall with a handsome man that they were in love with.

And here I was on the other hand - getting married to a cursed beast that had no feelings for me, or any werewolf in fact.

"My princess, we're finally done. Do you like the look?", The make-up artist questioned with a look of anticipation of a good review.

"It's alright", I muttered with an emotionless face. The make-up looked so heavy, I couldn't recognize myself anymore, and so did the wedding gown, but what was the point of complaining when no one really cared about how I felt?

I heard the door open behind me, and I felt my heart tighten when the mirror showed the reflection of my stepmother walk in with an angelic smile on her face

"I see you all are doing a great job. If I could please have one last conversation with my daughter before she becomes a wife?"

"Of course, ma'am!", The coordinator immediately agreed and signalled to everyone to exit the room, leaving me with the most evil woman I'd ever encountered in my life.

"You look beautiful, my daughter", she complimented as she slowly began to approach me.

"I'm not your daughter. You told me that multiple times in the past", I muttered with a nervous voice.

I heard her chuckle.

"Well, that's true. No matter how I try to make you feel like I care about you, you have the blood of a witch."

For the first time, I had the guts to look her dead in the eye, my heart full of hurt from her constant belittling.

"What did I ever do to you? Why do you hate me so much?", I questioned, a tear daring to fall down my eyes.

Instead of answering my question, she took out a handkerchief and began to clean my tears.

"I need you to know that this marriage is a one way trip. You're getting married, and you'll never get back. This is the only opportunity I get to have my husband to myself without always thinking about you. I have gotten rid of you, and trash never shows up at the house it came from."

"Wh... What's this supposed to mean?"

"No matter what they do to you in Blackwood pack, endure it. Take it with good faith. You're doing your father and the rest of the pack a good favor marrying that demon. This is the first time you are actually useful, so I suggest you comply. Do not ever think of coming back here. If they want to kill you, let them. You're better off dead in Blackwood pack than dying by my own hands, because that's what will happen if you ever show your ugly, wretched self in this pack. Am I understood?"

I knew this woman hated me, but this was too much. She gave me the orders with no expressions on her face whatsoever. Her eyes held no iota of compassion for me.

My mouth was too heavy to give her a reply, so I just sat there in looming silence until we heard a knock on the door. The wedding coordinator popped her head in. "It's time for her to come meet her groom, my Luna", she announced.

"Good." She turned to me. "Follow her, will you?", She said softly.

Like a lamb led to slaughter, I followed them out of the room to the wedding area.

The pack was obviously more than elated; there was someone that could afford to be with their cursed Alpha.

I was soon standing in front of him.

His dark blue eyes pierced my soul . His jawline was well chiselled and his jet black hair added to his dark demeanor.

His emotionless face told me that he was not happy with the marriage either. He gave off an aura of dangerous authority that made me feel small in front of his intimidating figure.

As I stared at him, I wondered how someone with this pretty sexy face could still be an uncontrollable monster.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. We are gathered here today to stop the dispute between the Blackwood pack pack and Blackwood pack Kingdom by joining these two lovely souls together. We are blessed to witness such a day, and we know that this union will be the start of something marvelous in both their lives."

He turned to me with a generous smile on his face. "Miss. Mirella, do you take Alpha Kaelen to be your loving husband?"

There was not a single thing loving about this man.

But I didn't have a choice other than to comply to have my life ruined.

"I do."

He turned to Kaelen. "Do you take this woman to be your wife, till death do you path?"

I'd never heard a shivering death sentence.

"I do", his baritone voice echoed throughout the hall, his unwavering eyes on mine.

"Beautiful. You can kiss your bride."

Wait, what?

This marriage was strictly contractual. Why the hell did I have to kiss this beast?!

I thought he would signal Gaius to skip that process, but he placed his hands on my waist.

I felt air leave my lung as he dragged me close, leaving no space between us.

I held on to his biceps to support my weak legs. Those blue eyes scared the fuck out me and made it impossible for me to think.

He leaned in. I felt my eyes shut involuntarily immediately he placed his lips on mine.

I felt my insides give in to a force stronger than me. I felt myself yearning for something strange. The more he dominated me with his tongue, the more I longed for it. I couldn't explain the feeling, but I couldn't get enough of it.

"Fuck", I gasped when he suddenly tore me away from his skin.

It wasn't until then I crashed back into reality and saw the whole wedding reception up in cheers. I'd kissed their Alpha.

I just... kissed the beast.

What the fuck just happened?
