Chapter 5 Fifth Chapter

Selene greeted Caleb who was standing in the middle of the lounge. He was fidgeting and it seemed like he was uneasy.

"Is something wrong?" Selene asked noticing his worried condition.

He wasn't staring at her; he was looking at the door.

Suddenly, a group of masked werewolves attacked Selene. She was lying on the floor defending herself from the attacks.

Caleb was confused. He liked Selene. He couldn't stand her being beaten like that in front of him. So, he moved closer and tried to stop one of the three attackers but the fiend pushed him away.

All of a sudden, she felt her eyes go flaming red. She managed to sit up despite the kicks and punches she was receiving. Then she let out a scream. The windows of the cabin blew apart. The attackers, pushed by the force of the scream, all landed with their backs against the walls.

The door broke open. Ronan was there. He rushed towards Selene and wrapped his arms around her. The next thing Selene saw was total blackness.

In a vacant industrial factory.

Caleb was strapped to a pole with chains. The attackers were careful. They knew he was one of the strongest among the Omegas.

Alpha Warren entered the abandoned factory.

"Is what I heard correct?" He asked Caleb. "You put yourself in harm's way to save Selene Carter?"

Caleb didn't look at him and was rather staring at the floor. Warren grabbed his chin and forced him to stare at his glowing red eyes.

"She must not be allowed to live." He said in a hoarse voice; half-human, half-wolf.

"Sorry, Sir." Caleb said with his heart thumping in his chest out of fear. "It won't happen again."

In a forest, much like that which Selene had seen in vision in a previous night, she and Ronan were there. She was sitting up, her head against a tree.

She blinked many times before finally opening her eyes.

"Where are we?" Selence asked Ronan who was standing mere inches away from her.

He was dressed in a black suit this time and looked as handsome as ever.

"Not important." He answered. "What's important is that you are safe. For now."

Selene couldn't control her urges any longer. She didn't care if he was an Alpha and she was an Omega. She stood up and pounched on Ronan. Her kissess wet with desire against his lips. He returned them even more forcefully. She never realized she liked it rough until then.

He pushed her back against the tree. His hands were wrapped firmly against her torso. They exchanged even longer, wetter kisses. He started taking his coat off. She ripped open his shirt revealing the muscular abs underneath.

He smooched her on the neck taking in her flowery scent. She returned the favor inhaling his musky cologne. His hands reached her breast gently pressing it. She moaned releasing tension clawed up inside for years.

She jumped on him and he held onto her. He found a patch of soft grass and laid her on it. His hand now reached inside her skirt. It searched for her pussy and found it. She moaned again and whimpered.

He took off her panties and she wiggled out of her skirt. She helped him take off his pant and underwear. Then he was inside her. And it felt like worlds colliding against each other. Their moans could be heard throughout the cosmos.

That evening.

Ronan had started a fire and they were resting against each other near the flames. They were half-naked. And Ronan had brought a medium-sized quilt which the couple were sharing.

"I love you." Selene told him resting her head against his neck.

"I love you too." He replied. "I told you that you would be mine, the first time I saw you."

They snuggled against each other. The night was fast approaching. And so was the full moon.

"Ronan I just remembered." Selene said removing her head from his neck. "The full moon."

"Don't worry." Ronan said. "I am with you. We'll get through this together."

The full moon shone brightly that night. Selene and Ronan were standing near the fire. Ronan instructed her to sit near the flames. She did as she was told. She started hearing voices in her head. They were all jangled up and she could not make out what was being said.

She clutched her chest. The pain heaved through her body. She screamed as she extended both her arms trying to relieve the pain.

Her eyes turned red and her fangs came out. The moonlight was shining directly at her. She growled. She felt anger especially towards Caleb and even at the dead Olivia. Her clothes ripped apart as she fully transformed – into the white werewolf.

Caleb was free now. He massaged his wrists which were chained up before.

"Bring in the Seer." Alpha Warren announced.

An old woman with totally white eyes entered the abandoned factory's room where Caleb, Warren and three masked Omegas were standing in.

"You will help find Selene Carter." Warren demanded from the old woman.

She nodded.

Caleb was flabbergasted. He had heard of the Seer but never saw her in person. It was said that she could locate any supernatural being. Then why didn't Alpha Warren tell her to locate Olivia's murderer? Caleb thought.

The woman sat up on the cold floor. She extended her arms, opened her mouth, and let out a growl. So, she is a werewolf herself, Caleb wondered.

The Seer stopped growling at the sky and closed her eyes.

"I've found her." She said.

The next morning.

Ronan Blackthorne and Selene Carter were in a mansion.

"This mansion has been in my family for generations." Ronan told her as they walked inside the place.

There were ink-drawn portraits on the walls.

"These are my ancestors. All were wolves." Ronan said proudly.

The men in the family were very good-looking, and so were the women, Selene noticed.

The apple did not fall from the tree, Selene thought of Ronan.

"We'll be safe here." Ronan said.

"But we can't stay here forever." Selene said.

The bell rang.

The butler introduced the visitor to one of the guest rooms that Ronan and Selene were occupying.

"Beta Anna!" Selene screamed as she hugged the healer.

Ronan took a step forward. "She's from your pack? How did she find you?"

Anna showed them a strand of hair. "I can locate anyone with something that belongs to them."

"Does anyone else from your pack know that Selene is here?" Ronan asked Anna.

"Not to my knowledge." Anna then turned her attention toward Selene. "The trinket is fixed. Here you go."

Anna handed Selene back her family heirloom. Surprisingly, Selene did not see any visions upon touching it.

"Ah, you have turned into the white werewolf." Anna gave her a smile.

"So, you know of this legend?" Ronan asked.

Anna nodded. "The white werewolf is to become the leader of the pack. This is why Alpha Warren is so against Selene and her parents. This is why he got them killed. But he didn't know Selene's blood also descended from the Moon Shadows."

Selene gasped. So, Alpha Warren had my parents killed!

"But what about Olivia?" Selene asked Anna.

"That is to draw attention away from him. He would say that you, Selene, killed Olivia as payback and the punishment for murder of a pack member is death." Anna explained.

Ronan nodded. Now, this was all about to make sense.

Selene placed her head on Ronan's chest and sobbed. "I can't believe Alpha Warren killed my parents and Olivia too."

Ronan kissed her on the cheek. "You are safe here, Selene, my dear."

"This is your mate, Selene?" Anna asked.

Selene removed her head from Ronan's chest. "Yes, he is."

Selene and Ronan exchanged a kiss.

Just then, the doorbell rang.
