Chapter 5 Shiver

Danko's words sent a shiver down Emily's spine. She felt like he was toying with her , dangling secrets just out of reach. But she was determined to uncover the truth.

"I think I've found enough for tonight ," she said, trying to sound casual.

Danko nodded , his smile growing wider. "I'll escort you back to the village, " he offered, his voice low and smooth.

As they walked through the castle's dark corridors , Emily couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that she was walking a thin line between curiosity and danger.

When they reached the village , Danko stopped at the edge of the forest , his eyes gleaming in the moonlight. "Be careful, Doctor, " he whispered , his breath cold against her ear. "The night can be unforgiving . "

Emily shivered, feeling a sense of foreboding. She knew that she had to be careful, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that Danko was hiding something.

As she watched him disappear into the shadows , Emily realized that she had to take matters into her own hands. She would uncover the truth about Danko , no matter what it took.
