Chapter 7 I need Ava back

Kyle glanced at his little wolf, her eyes were wide as she stared at him- she looked shocked as well- in a beat, he could tell what she was thinking, Anthony.

Ava looked at Anthony, but her father had told her he was her mate, what's going on? Her thoughts were haywire.

Kyle stretched his hand to her. "Let's go, baby girl." His deep voice was gentle, and it sent sparks flying around her belly. Ava looked at Kyle's outstretched hand and back at her father, Ryan's face was grim as he glared at her, warning her not to leave with Kyle.

Ava smiled as she took Kyle's hand, her eyes went to Anthony who looked shocked and angry, her brows were creased that they almost touched his eyes

Kyle's lips stretched into a smile as he pulled her out; his hold on her was so gentle that Ava felt vulnerable; she let out short breaths as they got into the car and drove out of the vicinity.

The drive back to Kyle's home was silent, both had their thoughts occupied. While Ava thought seemingly endlessly about what Kyle had said,

"What are you thinking about?" Kyle broke the silence, giving her a short glance,

"Oh-" She jolted slightly, taken aback by his question. "Nothing"

"If it's about what I said a few minutes ago, I meant it." Ava looked at him; he wasn't joking.

Kyle seemed quite amused at her reaction; he loved that he was always able to bring out so many emotions in her.

"I-- I don't understand" She shook her head lightly

She'd been told that Anthony was her mate.

But now, Kyle claims her to be his mate, does that mean she had given her virginity to her mate? Does it mean, if she hadn't bumped into Anthony and Cynthia in the office, she would've ended up with someone who isn't her mate?

"No," She muttered under her breath; she couldn't trust Kyle just yet, though he'd made it known to her in every aspect that he would never hurt her; how was she supposed to be sure that Kyle was her mate? She has no idea how it feels to bond with your mate as the only thing she figured was that she felt safer with Kyle.

"No what? You don't think it's believable?" He raised an eyebrow at her, the corner of his graceful lips were curled up in total amusement,

Ava opened and shut her mouth countless times, unable to form a word. She just squirmed in her chair and averted her gaze to the view outside the window.

Kyle spared her another glance, everything about her screamed perfection. Her smooth skin was calling for his bites and marks, her neck was the lightest shade of purple, his hickeys were coming off and he thought,

"Maybe I'll do it again"

"Huh? Do what?" She turned to him with raised brows, her innocent expression was turning him on so bad he wanted to turn off the engine right there in the middle of the road and take her, not caring if passers-by stare.

"Careful, little wolf, that's dangerous." he faced the road again, leaving her speechless and confused; what's dangerous? But Kyle didn't say anything else until they got home.

Anthony kept pacing around the room, releasing heavy breaths. I'm furious at what had happened earlier. "Ava, his mate?" He scoffed I'm disbelief and rage,

Everything started when his stupid uncle came into the picture, no! If Ava hadn't been more stupid enough to go meet his uncle for a night stand, this whole thing wouldn't have happened. Now, he and his family were the talk of the town, his wedding was the hottest topic for gossip

"Arghhh!" He growled, flipping the glass center table, and it shattered to pieces loudly. His eyes colors were changing, his wolf was itching to be let out- the anger he was feeling already was greater than he could tame.

There are only two ways to keep his angry wolf at bay, sex, and alcohol. He walked to the cellar and pulled out a whiskey, not bothering to honor himself by pouring a cap, he corked it open and drank directly from the bottle.

Taking it halfway for nothing to soothe his anger- his eyes were red and his vision blurry but he still felt angry. He was getting riled up at the fact that someone took what was his. Just because he doesn't love Ava doesn't mean Kyle is entitled to take her, in such an embarrassing manner.

He needed Ava back, she was his-- she had always been his. Kyle shouldn't have messed with him. He rejected her on their wedding day, that was his way of putting her in place for giving herself to someone else. But now- he wants her.

He staggered out of the room, pushing the maids out of the way until he got to his father's study, he barged in without knocking and Matthew was furious

"The last time I checked, the least courtesy you could do was knock, you now barge in?"

Anthony ignored his father, pointing at both Ryan and Matthew. "I want your daughter, she has to marry me!" He directed at Ryan. "Chase that annoying brother of yours out of this town, he's not meant to be here- he's getting me irritated at his presence" Anthony's face was scrunched up as if he were disgusted,

"Anthony--"

"Father, I'm meant to be the next Alpha with Ava by my side. It's been written years ago, she shouldn't embarrass me at such point, especially when her brain has been washed by that dangerous psycho" He placed his hand on his chest. "The moon goddess has me as the next Alpha of this pack, bring Ava back!!" He burped loudly,

"And send that brother of yours away, I don't care how you do it, make it happen Father"
