ALYSSA
"Who would want to date that old hag, talk more of claiming her as a mate?" Rolan spat, smashing a bottle of scotch on the tiles. The party was over. Everyone was gone. But the impact of the new revelation still lingered.
I didn't want to believe it.
There must have been a mistake.
It was definitely a mistake.
Rolan's eyes were blazing with anger.
Kieran kept bruising his knuckles by smashing his fist on the wall, and Cole? He was eerily quiet.
I badly wanted to get out of here-the lounge-bury my face in my pillows, and yell on top of my lungs.
This was way more brutal than being an orphan.
Being bound to them meant I'd have to stay here for my whole life.
"Brothers." Cole's voice was calm. "We can always reject her." He said brutally. He obviously didn't care about the aftermath of a rejection. The Alpha always told us how a mere rejection could drive someone insane, but Cole probably wouldn't react.
"We can't reject her." Zane hurriedly said, glancing at me slowly. "I can't handle the pain of rejection, I'm not sure either of you can handle it, too."
"Coward." Rolan growled. "You'd rather bear being mated to this worthless thing than face some shitty pain?"
Kieran groaned, running his bloody fingers through his messy hair. "The moon goddess sure messed up this time. Father's on a trip, he definitely wouldn't want to hear this." His cold gaze sent a shudder down my spine. "He wouldn't want us to reject her either."
Cole casually crossed his legs, grabbed a glass of wine and sipped it slowly. He was way too relaxed for a situation like this.
I was freaking out.
Inhaling a shaky breath, I parted my lips. "I'll....I'll accept the rejection."
"Do you think you're allowed to speak?" Cole growled. "I can't even hear the sight of you."
Tears slipped down my cheeks.
Unlike before, I didn't back down this time. "If you badly hate me, then reject me. Do it quickly before the Alpha gets here."
"You slimy bitch." Rolan snapped, charging towards me. "Are you indirectly saying you don't want us?!" Yes. Yes. Yes! I don't want you, asshole, but I couldn't get those words out of my mouth.
Rolan wouldn't hesitate to bruise my cheeks with a slap.
"We can make the matebond fun." Cole dropped his glass of wine, getting up slowly. "Think about it, Rolan. We'd be able to track her faster." He smirked. "We could send her running into the woods and hunt her down like predators."
What a psychopathic bastard!
Cole is a monster.
In his black shirt and pants and dyed black hair, he looked like the ruler of hell. And maybe he was. Perhaps he was sent to earth to torture me till he dragged me back there.
Rolan chuckled. "You have a way of making everything better." He then winked at me. "She's a keeper."
"No!" I choked, taking a few steps backwards. "Reject me."
The four of them didn't even spare me a glance. Together, they headed towards the lift, leaving me to deal with all my heartache. Suddenly, Rolan rushed out of the lift, placing his phone on his ears. "You're here already?"
He waltzed towards the door, and as soon as he opened it, a tall, pale blonde appeared before me. He cleared his throat, wrapping his arms around her waist as she turned red. "I didn't expect you to come so soon, Steph."
My eyes burned.
He brought new girls into his home each day.
But couldn't he honor the fact that we were mates now?
"I'll always be here for you, baby." She giggled, planting a kiss on his cheeks. I didn't know why I couldn't stop staring. I was used to scenes like this, but today, it was suffocating me.
Rolan growled slowly. "How about we get down to work right here and now, huh?" His voice, thick with desire, made my legs waver. I found myself getting all wet at his voice alone, and I knew it was time for me to get the hell out of here.
"What about your brothers?" I heard her ask as I strode towards the stairs-couldn't take a lift because I didn't because the Alpha heirs badly wanted me to lose some weight.
"They're asleep."
"What about her?"
"Her?" Rolan chuckled. "Just imagine she's some bag of trash. You shouldn't look at her."
I fought the tears in my eyes, but as I kept running up the stairs, they kept flowing down my cheeks like a heavy rain. My breaths came out ragged as I dashed into my room, slamming the door hard.
I sought my pillow for comfort and wailed.
This wasn't how I'd planned my 18th birthday.
I didn't expect to be mated to these monsters.
Suddenly, the heartache became even more painful. I got up shakily, placing my palm over my chest, but with each tug, my heart twisted like it was being carved out with a sharp dagger. I tried to sleep, but I couldn't.
The pain was unbearable.
It was surreal.
I could barely breathe.
I clutched my bedspread, closing my eyes tightly, and when I thought the pain would finally stop, Rolan's slow grunts filled my ears. "Yes, baby, show daddy how you'd cum."
My eyes widened.
No.
I didn't want to hear it.
"Spread those legs for me, honey. Spread them wider."
I didn't want to fucking hear it.
"You're so wet for me."
I couldn't stop crying, couldn't stop whimpering.
The intense pain in my chest was slowly breaking my soul.
Then, there was a snap.
I couldn't feel my wolf, Gwen.
She went quiet, heartlessly ripped from my chest due to the pain.
"No." I screamed out, and then-darkness
