Five Years Later
In North Haven, inside a luxury white mansion, Mr. Max Dawson had relocated with his wife and three children, Caden, Samantha, and Alicia. Since he couldn't pay off Damian's money.
Caden was Alicia's older brother, followed by Samantha.
Caden was now 28 years old, and he wondered what was going on with his father. He didn't understand his father's kind of business, but he knew that his father had been receiving calls frequently.
"Dad, what's going on with you?" Caden asked his father as they were done having dinner. They sat on the living room couch as Mr. Max asked them to wait.
Four years ago, Mr. Max recalled the incident that led to his loss. Since then, he had been struggling to support his children's education. He sold off his old house and packed to his second mansion, believing Damian wouldn't find him.
Mr. Max feared what Damian would do after he couldn't pay up the debt. He was only able to pay up 2 million dollars out of the 10 million he had borrowed.
However, Mr. Max knew that he couldn't run away from Damian for long, so he had to let his family know.
The T-Group had been silent, which made Mr. Max extra worried, wondering why Damian hadn't come after him.
"It's nothing, Caden. I just want to tell you what the problem is that is making me restless. I need the sum of 8 million dollars to clear off a debt," Mr. Max announced, surprising his children as they sat on different couches.
"What?!" Caden was the first to rise from the couch in shock.
"8 million dollars? Father, where do we raise such a huge amount of money from, and what exactly did you use the money to do?" Caden pressed.
Mr. Max knew that there was no hiding from the truth.
"I used it to do business. I am involved with Damian Tucker, and the money got vanished and seized by the government. The fact is, I have been doing this drug business for years, and no problem until Damian Tucker took over the mafia world in this territory," Mr. Max announced.
"What?!" Caden gasped with disbelief. He wouldn't have thought that his father was among the mafia. No wonder they lived a lavish lifestyle.
Caden glanced at his mother, who remained silent, and he shifted his face to his two younger sisters, Samantha and Alicia, as they sat on the same couch as his mother.
Samantha looked stunned, but Alicia was composed, as if she was aware.
Caden then shifted his gaze at their father and asked, "Dad, who doesn't know Damian Tucker? The ruthless mafia boss and devil? How can you get yourself into any business with him? The man has several clubs, is a criminal, and the police cannot confront him. Now, he bought a new mansion worth billions. How did you get yourself into business with Damian Tucker? He must have scammed you?"
Caden paced about the living room. He was annoyed, and the revelation took him by surprise.
Mr. Max shook his head and said, "Damian didn't scam me. The business failed, and that was all."
"Lies! I don't believe that. So where do we raise the money to pay off the money you borrowed? And when is the deadline to pay up your debt?" Caden asked, annoyed.
Before Mr. Max could speak, a knock on the living room, followed by the doorbell sound, resonated in the living room.
"Who is there? Caden, are you expecting anyone?" Mrs. Jennifer asked, as it was past 10 pm on a Sunday night, so they were certain they weren't expecting any guests.
"No, mother. Let me find out," Caden replied and moved over to the door to check.
Due to their discussion, Caden didn't hear the sound of the cars arriving at their home.
However, as Caden approached the living room door and pulled it open, Damian Tucker stood there, dressed in black ensembles. His men in black stood behind him.
"Who are you, and what do you want?" Caden asked, as he didn't immediately recognize Damian.
"Who am I?" Damian asked and smacked Caden on his left cheek. The force of the slap sent Caden crashing to the ground.
Damian kicked Caden on his stomach as everyone in North Haven knows him.
Damian then crossed over Caden and entered the living room. His eyes fell on the family that shook in fear and dropped down on their knees.
"Mr. Max Dawson. What a long time no see?" Damian asked, standing in the living room. As he smirked, his gaze swept over Mr. Max, his wife, and two daughters who hugged their mother. Their faces were filled with fear, thinking he was a criminal.
Caden was lying on the ground, wincing in pain after Damian kicked him and entered the exquisite living room.
Damian's aura was chilling, intimidating, and brutal. His ruthlessness had grown over the years, his blue eyes sharp, as he reached for his cigarette to smoke.
"What do you want, Damian? I promise to pay off the money. Just give me time, please," Mr. Max begged, still on his knees.
"Please, spare my family. I promise to pay you off," Mr. Max pleaded, knowing that Damian deals with firearms too.
Damian laughed coldly and replied, "I wish I could, but you have delayed the payment for a long time, and there are other things that I would need the money for."
Damian lit up his cigarette and smoked.
"Four years have passed, and don't you think the money should have generated interest by now?" He asked.
Mr. Max shivered on the ground and replied, "I know, Mr. Tucker. I swear I am working on raising the money."
"How?" Damian smoked. "By running away with your family? Do you think I do not have my men's eyes on you? You cannot run away. Even if you do, you have your families to pay up the money, including your two pretty daughters."
Alicia and Samantha shivered in shock. However, Samantha raised her head and peered at Damian's face. She was starstruck by his handsome appearance as she was hugging her mother, afraid of the cold man.
Samantha was shocked to see how handsome Damian looked. His face was as attractive as a woman's, as he had earrings and a nose ring.
Standing regal in the middle of the vast living room, Damian was as hot as hell.
When Damian's eyes caught Samantha's light blue eyes ogling at him, he frowned, and she swiftly looked away, clutching her mother tightly to hide her eyes.
"Please, spare my two daughters. I promise to pay up your money this year. I swear, I am working on another business, and would generate the money. Please..." Mr. Max tried to beg.
Damian shook his head and refused, as he continued smoking. He knew he was the one who had hijacked the last business between them, and he had given Mr. Max enough time to pay up.
"No. I cannot give you any more time. Get him, boys!" Damian ordered.
Mr. Max was stunned.
"You cannot take me away, Damian. Please, give me this year to pay the money," Mr. Max begged.
"Shut up, old man. I am only tolerating listening to you because of my father. I will spare you, but you shouldn't dare to speak any more nonsense sermons to me. Your family should pay up the debt. Failure to do so, I will take care of you for wasting my time. Take him away, Jeff!" Damian ordered, and he left the living room. He walked out to his black Maybach, and his men in black pulled the car open for him.
"Please, let my father go. I will pay up his debt!" Caden tried to beg as he stood up on his feet.
However, Jeff kicked him away and yelled, "Stay out of this, loser!"
Jeff grabbed Mr. Max's hands, handcuffed him, and took him away.
"Oh no! Mom! What are we going to do? They have taken our father?" Alicia and her sister asked their mother.
Lady Jennifer shook her head and replied, "What do you want me to do? Where do I get such a huge amount of money from? Your father caused this upon himself."
Lady Jennifer burst out crying too.
Alicia paced about and asked, "Mom... Damian said he would come for me and Samantha if we don't pay him up. We are finished."
Alicia placed her hands on her head, crying.
"I know. So where do we start from? You don't earn much as a nurse. Samantha doesn't earn much as a model. And how about you, Caden? Even as a lawyer, you cannot do anything to save your father? I don't know what to do, but I will call your father's brothers and my family to ask for their help. That's all I can do now to see how I can get your father out of this mess," Mrs. Jennifer said, and she went back upstairs to her room.
She cried, leaving Alicia and her siblings speechless.
