Chapter 1 No 1.

Five years ago;

In the Tucker's group, Damian Tucker, a ruthless mafia boss, sat in his office on the top floor of a five-story building.

He was a 28-year-old man with dark skin, blue eyes, and jet-black hair styled in an afro.

Damian had several tattoos on his body, including an eagle tattoo on his right masculine arm and a cross tattoo that stretched from the top of his left arm to his elbow. He also had two women's names tattooed on his chest, just above his right breast.

He was a mafia lord, respected and feared in his territory. He controlled several businesses in North Haven.

Inside Damian's office on the top floor, he wore a black shirt and trousers as he sat elegantly on his black executive chair, going over a business proposal.

As he checked the document through his laptop, a knock on his office door interrupted him. His assistant, Jeff Brody, a 25-year-old man, came in.

The office was painted in a white hue, with two guest chairs. Damian raised his head and looked at Jeff.

"What is it?" he asked, not shifting his gaze from his laptop.

"Boss, Mr. Dawson is here to see you," Jeff said, standing across from Damian.

Damian paused what he was reading. He knew that he gave out loans and made different deals. His father had handed over the T-Group to him as the new leader, and Mr. Dawson was a subordinate.

"Let him in," Damian replied, a hint of interest in his eyes.

As soon as Jeff left, Mr. Max Dawson, a tall man dressed in a black suit, entered Damian's office. The man was involved in illegal drug deals, and he smiled, seeing Damian.

Damian didn't stand up or shake hands with the middle-aged man.

"What do you want?" he asked, still seated in his chair and continuing to click on his laptop.

Mr. Max gulped, aware that Damian had a temperament. But he was the new gang leader, and doing business with Damian was stricter compared to his father, Mr. Mark Tucker. The name ignited fear in the other groups.

"It's business, Damian. A deal worth billions of dollars," Mr. Max Dawson said, pleased when he saw Damian shift his gaze away from his laptop and look at him.

"Sit," Damian gestured to the middle-aged man. "Go on," he ordered, and Mr. Max went into details about the deal.

Damian was interested. "So how much do you need?" he asked Mr. Dawson.

"First, I don't want the other groups to interfere in this cocaine business, and I will need your assistance to loan me an additional 10 million dollars to proceed with it," Mr. Max explained.

Damian was interested in this business. He planned to personally hijack it for his selfish interest instead of handing it over to his boys to take care of it.

"Don't worry. I will lend you the money, but you must promise to pay it back with a 10% interest. I don't care if the business works out or not. All I care about is my money," Damian said, and Mr. Max nodded.

"You have nothing to worry about, Damian. I will pay you back immediately once the deal is completed. But I will need your assistance with it," Mr. Max explained, speaking about their shipment and other contractors.

"Don't worry, I will have Jeff assist you with it. First, sign the business deal," Damian offered the document to Mr. Max to sign and to loan him the money.

His mind worked in mysterious ways as he focused his blue eyes on the middle-aged man, who happily reached for a pen and signed the deal.

"Done," Mr. Max said with a smile as he rose to leave Damian's office.

"It's great working with you, Damian. I will be looking forward to the date," Mr. Max said, and Damian nodded.

Once Mr. Dawson exited Damian's office after the deal ended, Damian kept thinking about the business deal worth billions of dollars.

"I cannot allow Mr. Dawson to have that kind of money, especially when it will attract the police. Also, I desire to have his daughter. What other way can I take it from him," Damian thought, and a crooked smile curled up his lips.

He reached for his phone and called Jeff back into his office.

"Jeff, I want you to take care of Mr. Max's business. Contact Jax to keep an eye on Alicia Dawson for me. I have to ensure that we seal the deal and the money gets transferred to my offshore account," Damian said.

"Alright, Boss," Jeff replied. His eyes widened in surprise, but he dared not question Damian's orders.

Jeff looked up to Damian as his older brother and was only two years younger. He went to do as told.

Three months later, Mr. Max was heartbroken to see that the business had failed, and the money had vanished.

After borrowing money from the ruthless mafia lord, Mr. Max had only a year to pay off the 10 million dollars that he had loaned.

"Honey, what's the problem?" Mrs. Jennifer Dawson asked as she entered the room that she shared with her husband.

Mrs. Jennifer was a middle-aged woman, 45 years old, and she looked at her husband, who paced around the room worriedly.

"I am finished!" Mr. Max exclaimed, knowing that Damian would come for him. He placed his hands on his head, gasping for air.

"You cannot be finished, honey. Talk to me," Mrs. Jennifer tried to beg her husband to say something to her as she walked up to meet him.

"I shouldn't have trusted that son of a devil. Doing business with his father hadn't been bad. Our dealings haven't been hijacked by the government, and now, I have lost everything I worked hard for," Mr. Max Dawson cried, confusing his wife.

Mr. Max shouldn't have trusted Damian to handle the business for him. He felt Damian was still young and new as a mafia group leader.

"Calm down, honey. Talk to me," Mrs. Jennifer tried to talk her husband out of his misery, but he smacked her hand away from touching him.

"Don't touch me! Where do I get 10 million dollars to pay the T-Group?" Mr. Dawson asked.

"Ten million dollars? The T-Group. Who are they? Wait, calm down, honey. We can raise the money. Where did you borrow such a huge amount of money from? Why would you even borrow such an amount of money too? For what?" Mrs. Jennifer asked, shocked to hear the huge amount of money her husband was asking.

"Get out of my room. I don't have time to explain anything to you. Just leave me alone. If I don't raise that money in a year's time, they will come for us. All of them, and you need to leave for the countryside with our children. They shouldn't return back here. I am finished," Mr. Max cried, surprising his wife.

Mrs. Jennifer stubbornly shook her head and told her husband, "I cannot leave you to die alone, honey. You cannot turn me into a widow at this young age. You shouldn't have borrowed the money in the first place. Calm down, let's see how we can raise the money."

"Leave me alone," Mr. Max ignored his wife and went to his home office.

Mrs. Jennifer paced around the bedroom, wondering what was wrong with her husband.

It was 9 pm, so Mrs. Jennifer went downstairs and saw her second daughter, Alicia, in the living room.

"Mom, what's going on? I heard you and Dad arguing?" Alicia asked. She was a 19-year-old girl. A nursing student and hadn't graduated yet.

Alicia had beautiful fair skin and long blonde hair like her mother. She rose from the couch and walked up to comfort her mother.

"Alicia, it's your father. He loaned 10 million dollars from the T-Group boss, and now, he has lost everything," Mrs. Jennifer cried, and Alicia collapsed on the black couch.

"What?! 10 million dollars. Where do we start paying off such a huge amount of money from? Oh no! We are doomed if Dad cannot pay that off," Alicia joined her mother in crying in the living room.

They were rich, so why would her father have gone to loan such a huge amount? It meant they would have to run away and start selling off their properties. But would it be enough to pay off the mafia boss? Alicia cried.
